Quick Take: portable, good value, organized
I really love these compact organizers. I keep all of my Laura Mercier eyeliners in one, and my eyeshadows in another. Makes getting ready so much faster because I don't have to spend time looking for individual eyeshadows.

Great storatge for my eyeshadows

I have up on "pallates" of eyeshadows long ago. In one pallate I would find one maybe two colors that worked. Have purchased this and have fewer shades but the right shades. Love having everything in one place, my shadows, a darker shadow as a liner, and blusher. Makes everyhing easier and the pans just snap in easily. I have 5 of the 6 filled, that should do.

Quick Take: portable, good value, love the set up, easy routine, out the door fast
LM is one of my favorite brands. I have 5 single eyeshadow that work geat with my Hazel Eyes (Vanilla Nuts, Cafe Au Lait, Coffee Grounds, a African Violet) and two second skin cheek colors, the Lush Nectarine, and more a bronze color that i use as a bronzer. I love popping these in one compact for a custom set. I just threw out my UD Naked Pallate and a few other pallates. It seems with palattes, I find one or two really wearable colors, and maybe a liner color, the rest are not right. LM has NO or limited fall out compared to other shadows and applies like silk with exception of a few misses. I also like the BB shimmer powders to add a bit of shimmer, and have 3 well set of the BB. Very nice overall quality shadows that I will use not just throw in my make up bag. Am limiting what I "own" in the make up catagory these days, as I want quick n fast, out the door, easy, look my best, natural, lighter vs. darker, less vs. more and LM fits my needs. This plus my LM compact of TM and pot of concealer, lip gloss, clear mascara --- out the door and thats all I need. EZ routine.

Modern shadow case

I cannot give an unbiased review of this item because my eye shadows are older than those which apply to this case. I found it impossible to remove the shadow from its' original casing without putting a dent in the shadow itself. Therefore, I quit while the going was good.

Quick Take: portable, good value, good value - think of how many are almost right
I got to pick exactly the colors I wanted (and a couple of extras to swap out). I'm a palette junkie - must own every one on the market. Smashbox, Stila, Lorac and all the Tarte's, but no ONE palette had all the colors I wanted epecially for when I travel. The new naked palettes are nice but too warm for me. I'm a green eyed pale blonde, and the subtle purples are best on me. Now I have a palette full of very high quality shadows designed expressly for me. . . . . by me.

So convenient of you are a LM fanatic! I only have three wells used but plan on filling it eventually. I've had no issues with any of my blushes or eye caviar falling or popping out.

IDEAL WAY TO CREATE MY OWN LAURA MERCIER PALETTES

I've been depotting and repotting eye shadows and liners and blush for years, creating my own customized palettes. I'm so glad that manufacturers have recently been offering consumers products that fit into specialized palettes. It works so much better than trying to depot a shadow (sometimes by melting glues with blow dryers) and then sticking the potted shadows into magnetized trays. It looks much better, too, when a product fits exactly into a space its exact same size. Laura Mercier's Custom Eye Compact fits shadows, liners, and blushes perfectly. LM makes two empty palettes - a three well and a six well,. While I prefer at least four wells (a shadow, highlighter, liner, crease/darker shadow), three wells may be all you personally need, especially if you use a primer that doubles as a highlighter, such as some of the UD Primer Potions. When I use a six well palette, I can add an additional liner for a total of two liners, a shadow that can double as highlighter, and three additional shadows, including a lighter shade, a mid-range shade for lids, and a darker one that can be used for lids, crease, and/or liner. LM's excellent Tightline Cake Eye Liner fits into these palettes perfectly.
I'm really pleased with these Custom Eye Compacts. It makes travel a breeze, and it's also a nice way to have products I use more frequently in one compact, in one place.

I use this for traveling and also just on a day to day basis - it's light enough to carry around, Has enough spots to hold night and day eye shadows and blushes. Easy to put the shadows in the case.

Love it!!! Ordered this online and when it first arrived I couldn't wait to put my compacts in this and have my makeup organized and in one place but unfortunately hard as I tried I couldn't get the compacts to fit. So off I went to Sephora to return it. I am pleased to say that I showed it to a very smart salesgirl who was shocked that the compacts didn't fit. So she went and got a sample one off the shelf and finally figured out that what I didn't do was lift the piece in front once the compact was opened.
Thank you so much!!!! I went home and put my two shadows and four eye colors in this and it is great!!! It fits perfect, is all in one place and very convenient. Easy to pop in your luggage for travel too.

I was hoping Laura Mercier would come up with this as I really like 'staging' different looks so I can jjust grab and go. This is easy to use and has a nice large mirror and I use every one of the 6 compartments.

For $10 why not? Like the individual shades, I wish the lid were easier to open - it would be nice if it were spring loaded. Slim design, easy to pack. The lid is mirrored inside.

Fantastic palette - very easy to snap in the products and a very tight fit - there is no jiggling of my shadows! Also comes with a very large mirror. I plan of creating several of these palettes with products from Laura Mercier!

Quick Take: good value, portable, easy to use
This palette is great. Colors go in easily and come out easily. Unlike the first reviewer, I've had no problems with the colors staying locked into place.
One of my favorite features about this palette is the open bottom, meaning you can easily read the name of the color you're using (which is nice if you're the forgetful type like me). It also makes it a snap to pop colors back out of your palette if you want to rearrange or swap things out.
One note of caution: some older LM products don't work with this palette. I poked and prodded at a Topaz eyeshadow for a good 15 minutes, thinking it was stuck in the individual pan, before I realized that it was not separable from the pan they way the newer items are. So if you're looking to consolidate items you already have, you might want to check first that they can be removed from the pan.
