Not what I expected

I bought this in buff -- not ever having seen the color in person. It's too opaque for my liking. I've never used a Smashbox gloss before, so I had no idea that this wouldn't be transparent. To me, it's more like a coppery-gold shimmery cream eye shadow. The color works for me if I use only the teensiest amount and spread it. In that way, it's not so glossy...it's just adding a hint of shimmer...so best used with another product.

Moisture and shine

Quick Take: versatile, comfortable
This product is more of a highlighter than a clear gloss. I wear it over a matte tint, usually lip pencil. I teach all day and it stays on for at least 3 hours, keeps my lips moist, and gives a nice shine.

Quick Take: non-sticky
This is my favorite lipgloss so far. I love how shiny it is and not sticky. Well if you put a lot of it on it will be a bit sticky but there is no need to glop it on. The color is great! Love the shimmer and shine of this lipgloss. Layered over a similar lipstick is even better and makes it pop. I cannot leave my house without this lipgloss in my purse.

Color and Staying Power Impressive for a Gloss

I'm the kind of girl that wants to wear a little fun color, but isn't a fan of lip-stick or overly dramatic looks. This gloss by Smashbox is perfect for me.
STAYING POWER: I swiped on a little of this gloss before heading out shopping, and when I came home 3 hours later, I still had a nice color and shine on my lips. Impressive in my book.
TEXTURE: Smooth, not sticky. Yes, if my hair fell in front of my face it would stick - but that's gloss!
PACKAGING: The screw top (vs. a pop-off top) is so much better. I have had lipsticks in the past where the top pops off in my bad and I'm left with sticky smears in the lining.

I love the shimmer on this. It isn't like a typical glittery lip gloss, it has real dimension to it. The gloss is nice and soft, it conditions the lips like no one's business, and it isn't sticky at all. I love this stuff I can't say how much. It smells vaguely of vanilla cupcakes too. Great product, a little goes a long way too!

When I purchased Candy, it is gorgeous! I love that it's non-sticky, moisturizing and feels comfortable on the lips. I also have Watermelon and it's my favorite!

I have the PeRl color, and it's super shiny, but also sticky. Didn't pass the kissing test, my husband wanted me to wipe it off first. I'll just wear it when I won't be kissing...overall it was a good lipgloss, but not a show stopper.

If you like a high shine on your lips -- this is it! Haven't found anything with a higher shine and the colors are great. Doesn't feel overly sticky. Also great to go over your favorite color! Just wish it lasted a bit longer...
