What it is:A nourishing dry oil that illuminates the tan and contains SPF 8 protection.What it does:Guerlain Terracotta Huile du Voyageur Nourishing Dry Oil Illuminating Tan Intensifier SPF 8 magnifies the tan with a subtly iridescent veil of tiny, mother-of-pearl, golden particles and perfumes the skin with the exotic scent of the Tiare flower. The formula is enriched with Tan Booster technology that prolongs the tan and Roucou, a reddish-brown vegetable pigment that has been used throughout the ages to intensify color day after day. Skin is left nourished and divinely smooth and luscious.

Quick Take: natural, fragrant
Can we talk about the smell?? This might be my favorite fragrance of all time- if they make a perfume out of this I would be so happy! I would describe it like a floraly jasmine like scent or plumeria. I bought it to use over the Guerlain Jambes De Gazelle tanning/cooling spray to add a sheen over that color. Also I would comment of the great value of the size. The sample on the counter was small so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the actual product came was much larger, know you're getting a lot for the expensive price.

this oil really adds some color and sparkle to your skin after tanning. very nicely scented. I have not used while tanning yet so I can not testify to its intensifying ability.

Was on vacation at WDW/EPCOT Paris and the French salesperson at Guerlain was so charming, I bought this wonderful product! Way more than I would ever pay in my right mind for basically a fancy lotion/skin oil but I really love it. A light scent (reminds me of gardenias), subtle bronze color, slight shimmer and makes your tanned skin look so supple. It does dry quickly but seems to leave a shimmer for several hours.

Quick Take: perfumed, good for all -- even light skin, subtle shine, easy to apply and blend, very subtle bronze color
I use it when I want my skin to have a very subtle healthy sexy shine. It's not sparkly which I like. It's more of a baby oil with a subtle shimmer. The dry oil aspect is great because, it drys quickly. You apply and blend it by hand. My #1 complaint is that it smells like a typical perfume; You may want to smell it before you buy it. The perfume smell does seem to fade quickly, but maybe that's just because it's on me. My second complaint is that the "glow" doesn't seem to last more than a couple hours. One last complaint, but not too serious - BE CAREFUL - the bottle is open top, no pump, not a spray, you pour it in your hands which is fine, just be careful. Wash your hands.

I love the smell and thats why I bought it.I was impulsive.The oil pours out in your hand and you tend to waste alot of it.The smell does not last long at all.I didn't realize that there was a perfume I could have purchased instead.

I written a review in the past and had to do it again....this stuff is an absolute splurge but in my mind is so worth it! Delicately scented and leaves my skin looking and feeling incredible! My only suggestion is to make it into a spray or a pump and lose the glass bottle.

Quick Take: phenomenal
I have been looking for years for a product like this! They have been too oily or too glittery, or too dull. This is perfect. There is a subtle shimmer, and the smell is divine...not at all overpowering! I recommend using it over the Tinted Self Tanning gel...As a long time user of Argan Oil, I can attest to the amazing way it makes your skin look and feel! A+

I bought this on a whim, and I am glad I did! This stuff is amazing!! I put this on after showering and this makes my arms so smooth and touchable! It does slightly tan my skin. This product smells amazing, and it also has a bit of sheen which makes the arms look more healthy! Overall this is expensive but so worth every penny!

I really was looking forward to receiving this stuff and was really disappointed when I did. I used it right away and although it does have a pleasant scent, it was too watery and for the exorbitant price I paid, I did not want to spill it. I decided it was extremely tricky to put on without spilling and a lot is needed to achieve the desired effect. All in all, was not impressed and wished I hadn't spent the money.

Beautiful for the summer

While pricey, this oil absorbs well and does not make you feel greasy at all. It has a nice gleam that does not make you look like a wandering disco ball. I LOVE the scent and I think Guerlain would be smart to make it into a perfume. The only complant I have is the packaging inthat it looks great but there's nothing to prevent over pouring or spillage. A pump would be brilliant.

Quick Take: moisturising, smells great, luxurious, long lasting shimmer
This is an amazing product! I think it does everything its supposed to.It smells amazing, an exotic scent that mixes wonderful with my perfume, in dim light my skin looks great,smells great and I feel sexy by wearing it, but in the sunlight everything changes: it does intensify my tan( keep in mind that its not a tanning oil ),my skin looks healthy and dewy, the shimmer lasts long and its perfect. I compare this shimmer to the one of the Meteorites. Its definitely worth the money - where I'm from about $75.

Although I must start off by saying I usually LOVE Guerlain products, I wasn't thrilled with this one. I actually ended up returning it. Part of the problem might have been with my expectations, based on what I was told by the salesperson. I wanted a bronzing/moisturizing product that would help mask slight spider veins and imperfections. I have dark skin and like to go without hose. However, I am pushing 50 and am beginning to see the signs of it, even though I work out regularly and have kept myself in pretty good shape. The salesperson recommended this product and, loving Guerlain, I quickly bought it. It did feel nice going on, but within a few minutes I saw no difference in appearance. For the price, a $3 bottle of lotion provided the same benefit as far as moisture goes. It did smell wonderful though. To be fair, I do have dark skin and maybe this product would have more of a masking effect on a fairer skinned person. If you are looking for a luxury moisturizing product that smells nice, has a slight tint and offers an SPF as well as making you feel pampered (at $50+ a bottle), this may be the product for you. Just not my cup of tea-rracotta".

This stuff smells AMAZING. Definitely worth the price as a little goes a long way - it will last. Just a hint of shimmer and color....great for legs (helps camaflouge minor imperfections-leaves legs looking smoother). Can't get over the amazing gardenia scent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
