Quick Take: hydrating, moisturizing
About 3 years ago I had a Murad facial in London and it was the best facial I ever had. And it was the first time the beautician actually spotted that my skin was combination and not just dry. So I bought the serum, toner and day cream in the C range (orange). Since then my skin is fabulous. I love these products. The last facial I had (not a Murad), the beautician told me that my skin was so fantastic that I did not need a facial and told me to come back for a massage as my shoulder was tight :) Try Murad and you will never use anything else, I never have.

Quick Take: exfoliating, brightening
I am usually too lazy to write reviews. But I feel like this product definitely deserves it. The serum clears my skin texture, reduces pore size, and fades minor acne scar/discoloration. In some way, this works better than the acne (blue) line in clearing out blemishes. I also use Clarisonic to clean my face before applying this. The absorption rate is good. Skin is not too sticky afterward.

I'm not sure you need to put glycolic acid on your skin everyday. The long term effects are not proven. Once a week or once a month for a peel are fine but daily, even in small amounts...
This is my only problem with this product. Fine otherwise.
For radiance and clarity, Daily renewal complex by Murad is far superior and only $3 more...with more vitamin C, retinol and NO glycolic acid (which can be damaging on a daily basis)

I have very fair, dry and sensitive skin that is somewhat acne-prone. I received a sample of this a year ago and could not believe the difference I saw in my skin after just using it for one week. I put off buying it because of the price but recently gave in because my skin has been so dull and blah lately. I've been using it for about a week now and once again - glow! My skin is so much brighter and feels smoother and more youthful (at 27 I'm just starting to see changes in my skin). Would highly recommend.

It has a high price tag but it is a good product. I bought this because I received a sample of it and used it for a couple of weeks. I love it and really notice a difference in my skin tone and radiance. It's the first product that says it does this and I actually notice a difference.

My skin was doing well since using the acne gel so I tried to switch to this serum (as maintenance) but that was a mistake...the acne started flaring up again in my trouble spots along the jawline... I did notice that in my clear areas there was a nice smooth and hydrated appearance so maybe I will give it another try in the future--but right now it is not worth the investment when the acne gel is giving me better results overall.

In regards to the burning sensation... I sometimes use baking soda as an exfoliator, and I noticed that whenever I used the baking soda and followed with this serum, there was a tingling sensation and my skin would be mildly irritated following the application and sometimes into the following day. I have never had an issue otherwise, so it may be the interaction of the product with whatever you put on your face prior to the serum. Normally, I just wash my face with a wash cloth and warm water, and follow with the serum, and have never had an issue.
I am 26 and my skin has become extremely sensitive over the past few years and is very fussy, especially with moisturizers and fragrances. (My pores clog easily from moisturizers, but my skin gets dry and itchy/irritated if I don't use anything.) This product provides enough moisture for me without clogging my pores and the fragrance is non-irritating... it has a mild scent, but does not bother me at all.
I do think the product has definitely improved the overall appearance and texture of my skin, however, I have not seen any notable changes in my dark spots, and that's the only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five. I used this product sporadicly when I got it as a deluxe gift with points, and have been consistently using this bottle for a month and a half. It was worth it to me to spend the money since my skin is so fussy.
(Skin Tone.... I have olive undertones but the skin on my face is fairer and more sensitive than the rest of my body.)

I received this in a smaller version with my clarisonic kit and Amazing is the only way to describe this stuff!!! My skin looked soooo much brighter after only using it for a month, not only that but the texture improved and skin felt nice and firm after application
Slight burn sensation, but it is more than likely the vitamin C it went away after a few seconds, and then after using it for a month my skin was not affected by the burning sensation at all.... I LOVE this stuff!!!!

I got this in the clarisonic value kit. I adore it. I saw instant results. My face looked hydrated, without being oily. I love the fresh scent of this product and the light way it feels when you put it on your face. Use it in combo with the clarisonic and you will have a rejuvenated face! Loved it so much I bought an extra one for my husband!

Love this stuff. Received an extra large week-long sample 2 years ago in the New Beauty Test Tube and have been hooked ever since. You see visible results in a week. It gently rolled my skin texture and radiance to my early 20's. AWESOME AWESOME product I can't do without.
I had the beginnings of some crows feet fine lines and the dreaded 11 between my eyes, but this smoothed them out. I have very fair skin (never tan) and had problems with my skin looking pasty and blah- gone with this. I also use it on my decolletage as I have some sun damage and it evens it out and tightens.

Although very pricey, it is worth the money! It makes your skin so healthy and glowing and after just a week, I can tell a huge difference in the smoothness, dryness and hydration of my skin. And my sunspots and freckles have even faded a tad. And it smells good too!
