great product- 11.11.09
This is a great product. Most hair products make my scalp tingle. This one did not. Most hair products cause my hair to become dull. This did not. Most hair products fade, even with color-protectant shampoo. This one did not. I went back to salon color for my last coloring, and all I can say is I am not happy with the results. This weekend before I let my stylist cut my hair, it will be already colored... by me! And it will look and feel great!

Watch out for 10N- 10.18.09
Quick Take: stay with 9n!, i still love this product!
Don't get me wrong...I will always buy this product. However, the first time I used 9N, and I LOVED the results. I thought I could achieve a more platinum blonde by going to the 10N, but it ended up ashy looking. (I have 75% grey hair) I am going to highlight to bring back my blonde tones, but I would stay with the 9 N for best results.

nice product- 09.24.09
I've used this product twice now and like it very much. Very natural looking color and it holds up a long time. I even went on a beach vacation and the color didn't seem to fade. My only complaint is the delivery system. The tray and brush probably would be great if I was using it on someone else, but it is not easy to apply to the back of my head. I've always had better control with a squeeze bottle.

n9- 09.03.09
Quick Take: easy to apply, smells good, no burning sensation
I never write reviews but this product saved my hair. I recently de-colored my very dark hair and had a white orange pelt best seen in Scy-Fi movies. I just applied the n9 and my hair looks normal again. I have tried salon and drugstore products and I have been coloring my hair for years, so I know my way around color. This product does what it claims. Note: remember to get a lighter tone that the one you want; it runs slightly darker.

Came out better than I expected- 08.26.09
I was really hesitant about this product because of the reviews, but I decided to try it out anyway. Overall I'm happy with the outcome. The color is definately darker than what the box and even the hair swatch color in the store looks like. The only thing I'm not crazy about is how it leaves your hair with a flat one color look, which I think looks fake. I'll add a couple of highlights or lowlights to give it more dimension though. The pretreatment was nice, the smell was pleasant, but I wasn't crazy about the after conditioner- I had to use more of another type b/c my hair didn't feel silky enough.

Yeeeee Haaaaaa!- 08.21.09
Quick Take: natural looking, amazing - no more salon trips!, don't be afraid to try this at home!
I used 9N; and now just noticed there is even a lighter blonde available - I may use 10N next time. All I can say is, YOU WILL LOVE THE RESULTS. I have been coloring my hair for years; I was afraid of unevenness and brass orange on the dsrker areas. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN! I am 75% grey naturally, but still have my old light brown in the back. The color is superb, hair soft.

loved it. Used drug store boxes and hairstylist, this is tops. Color some darker but looks so natural. I'll never use any other colors.

Still better than Salon Color- 08.07.09
Quick Take: better than salon color
I reviewed this product before in June un "better than Salon Color" but just wanted to say that after 7 weeks- & I finally had to color again. I have never had a color LAST on my head for 7 weeks! I have grays and did use a little "nice n easy" root touch up at week 5 but this color really stayed TRUE for a LONG TIME! This time, I went a shade darker to a 7N and did my own L'oreal Frosting Kit highlights. All my friends and co-workers thought I'd gone to the salon & spent $200! Total cost: $30 for this color & $12 for the box of L'oreal Frosting Kit. I have naturally light brown hair with LOTs of gray & now have beautiful dark blond with sunkist highlilghts!

Love the overall product, Color is a lot darker- 08.04.09
Quick Take: darker than intended
So I just dyed my hair with the 9N last night and after reading all of the reviews I still decieded to get 9N because I was too nerouvs to buy the lightest shade of blonde that Frederic Fekkai makes. Let me tell you- my hair is DARKER than when I went to dye it; it was a light blonde, a little darker than on the box. Now it's way darker. However I must say I was extremely happy with the product other than the color (and even though the color is darker than I wanted it's still a pretty color with highlights.) I liked how easy the application was! I have about two inches longer than mmy shoulder length hair and I had plenty of dye. The smell was nice too.

good color but too light- 08.03.09
Quick Take: easy long lasting but too light
This is a great system for in home use. The color last and is easyt o apply. However for my natural blonde hair this is too light. The next ash tone is too dark . So I end up buying 9N and 8N and mixing. This works fine, but I wish I didn't have too. Also the gray is completely covered and last just as long as my salon treatments. Please someone read this and encourage this great hair product company to develop another color that is in the middle of these two.

darker than I expected.....- 08.01.09
Quick Take: darker than expected, gentle, professional application method, covers roots well, warm rich color
I received this product as a Sephora promotion. I have tried many other brands of hair color and I thought the 8W was an industry standard of some sort. However, the "medium golden blond" is more like a reddish-brown. I added my own highlights the next day to lighten the look, with decent results. On the plus side, the brush method is different, and ensures good root coverage. It takes a little longer to do, but the results are good. Also, the product was gentle to my very fine hair.

very misleading color- 07.27.09
Quick Take: misleading
I read the reviews and opted for a shade lighter than the box indicated and chose 9N. Well, I should of gone with even lighter because I ended up with a dark ashy blonde color that's far, far from the box picture. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it did leave my hair in good condition. Over all VERY disappointing

Great Color- 07.21.09
When I received this I didn't think I'd like it because it had to be brushed on, but really wasn't any more difficult to apply than with a bottle. The results were fantastic. I've been doing my own color for many years and I've never such perfect results. The color is very natural. All my friends and family even commented on how natural the color looked. Love, Love, Love. If you're on the fence...worry no more.

9N Mia Review- 07.20.09
Quick Take: exactly what you expect and fabulous, buy one shade lighter than you want
Read all the reviews and purchased one shade lighter than I wanted to prepare that it might be one shade darker than the box. It was and it looks fabulous! I have battled with stylists for years regarding hair color. I am a natural dark ash blonde but hairdressers hate ash tones so severely that they go too far astray with my hair. Worse yet I almost always have a stylist who stumbles into a red fiasco with me and then has no choice but to bleach it out many shades lighter than I would ever like to be. After applying the 9N Mia haircolor with total ease in prep and application time I got the exact color result that I wanted with absolutely no red, not even a hint. After spending approximately $168 per salon visit for color and cut I think I just saved my checkbook a ton and will just visit for cuts in the fuiture!

PERFECT!- 07.10.09
I used drugstore brands on my dark blonde hair for years to get it lighter. They would always give my hair a reddish tint, which I didn't like. I decided to try the "Ashley" color on my hair and I was very impressed. My hair turned a bit lighter than the color on the box. This dye also added some added blonde highlights to my hair which I love!
The brush is okay but you still have to work the dye through your hair (I depended on the brush too much the first time and ended up missing spots)
Even though it is a bit expensive, I will only use this dye from now on.

Nice results- 07.07.09
I used "Carla" 9W Light Golden Blonde on my medium brown with gray hair....the color did not turn out as red as is shown on the box but it is a nice color. It was fairly easy to use...and I would definitely do it again to save the almost $200 my stylist charged. I agree that the color turns out a little darker than the photo...I was going to use 8W and I'm glad I didn't. I gave it 4 stars because the color wan't as indicated.

Fear not!- 07.01.09
Two things I've never done in my life until now....color my own hair...and write a review of a product. I'm a beauty junkie with pretty high standards, and the thought of achieving salon quality at home sounded pretty far fetched. Boy, was I wrong. I stood in my bathroom with my plastic gloves and was practically shaking with fear. 35 min later...I was amazed. I am SUCH a convert. After reading all the reviews, I choose 9N....since I was actually wanting it to be a little darker than the picture on the box. And it was....perfectly. Easy to use. Clear and simple directions. And the color of my hair is gorgeous....only to be outdone by the condition of my hair. I can't imagine a scenario where I'd would shell out over a hundred bucks at a salon again. I'm giddy! I have never writen a review for anything I've liked or disliked, but I had to post my 2 cents.

Great for at Home Product- 06.29.09
I got restless the other day and decided to dye my hair. I had originally intended to go back to my natural light brown color, but on a last minute whim, I decided to go blonde. I used Christie Medium Blonde 8N. The color came out great for an at home hair product. I have received many compliments on the color. Most people are shocked to find out that the color came from a box - especially since my hair looks naturally highlighted with various shades of blonde. While I probably won't keep the color long due to the root upkeep (I have brown dye in the closet), I am having fun with it for the time being. I've attached photos of the before and after. Of course, the color came out a bit darker and tad bit yellower than the picture on the box, but I expected as much. I would definitely use this line again...in fact, I may even try another shade of blonde before I go back to being a brunette.

Quick Take: difficult to use
I like the results. I used medium blonde this afternoon and just finished. I DON'T like the brush/bowl application, however. It was very clumsy to use on the back of my head. I do better with an applicator bottle like those found in other products. You end up having to smoosh it through with your fingers anyway. A bottle applicator is much easier. I had glops of this stuff dropping on the back of my shoulders and on the floor. Results are great though.

Better than Salon Color!- 06.19.09
I usually color & highlight my hair since I like more dimension than just color can give. I also have a lot of gray. Salons usually do a level "7 N" -Dark Blonde on my hair & then do the highlights. This usually cost anywhere from $175-200! This product did better than the salon process! I have lately been doing L'Oreal Color at home (7N again) then I do the L'Oreal Highlights & the results are almost as good as I did at the salon. However, lately, the color has begun to be "redder" at times so I decided to try this. Instead of doing a "7" in the Fekkai line, I decided to do "8N", Medium Natural blonde since all the reviews say it turns out darker. But, since my hair has faded in the Florida sun the past couple of shampooings, & since I I have highlights already on my hair, I thought my highlights would come thru &t they did! My hair, with grays & alll is about 1 shade lighter than the color on the box--except, my highlights still show through giving it beautiful dimension. One thing I have noticed doesn't happen with this product over drugstore brands is that if you have some lighter strands or highlights, the drugstore color usually will deposit too heavily on your light strands and look dull & "ashy". With Frederic Fekkai, none of that! It is beautiful, shiny, feels thicker & very conditioned with lots of dimension! I will use this stuff forever!!! I may occasionally even highlight my own hair when they grow out but either way, I feel like I got better than salon quality at 1/6 or more of the cost! Thanks to the gals at my Tampa Sephora for introducing me to this product! One thing to always keep in mind when coloring, your hair will be darker than the box if you already have darker hair & if your hair is lighter, it will be lighter than the box. I think so many tend to think they will get the lighter blond if they start with darker blond & vice-versa. Drastic changes of more than 2 shades should still be left up to the salon as this is not a "high lift" color or bleach. All in all, it is the best product for those just beginning to color at home as is foolproof if you don't want drastic changes. And the smell is refreshing!
