Quick Take: bargain, good quality, smells nice
I knew from reading the reviews that the colors ran dark, so I went with "very light" golden blonde. It turned out really well -- I had never used at-home color, so it was a risk, but I"m glad I took it. I'll keep experimenting with shades, but I'm sure I'll get it right. Feels healthy and the color wasn't flat, which is what I feared most.

Silky, rich color- 09.29.09
My hair has been professionally highlighted for years. Times are tough so I decided to start doing my own color. This color is amazing! My highlights showed through somewhat but my hair is full and shiny! The color is a little lighter than I expected (in contrast to what others are saying) but probably because of my prior bleaching. LOVE It!!

Orange hair- 09.29.09
Maybe I did it wrong...but my hair started out the exact same colour that was on the box but turned more orange after every wash. After a week my hair was completely orange and my hairdresser had to correct it!
So due to the fact that I had previously coloured hair in a darker shade it might not be the colour but operator error, I give it two stars for at least starting off as the right colour.

Due to some financial cutbacks, I decided to take matters into my own hands and color my hair myself. Everyone's feedback on this site was spot on and appreciated.
I've previously highlighted my hair and had several grays sprouting along with some wicked looking roots. I followed the directions and was pleasantly surprised by the coverage and the color. I'd say mine looks just like the model on the box, perhaps a tad darker.
Will definitely use Fekkai again.

Quick Take: frederic fekkai salon color
The color turns out darker, but it lightens up depending on the amount of times you shampoo. The most important part is that my hair has shine, and feels great. I have just purchased my second kit, and will continue to use it until I find a better product, which I don't think there is.

I had begun to notice a few grey-white hairs start showing up slowly in a neat streak and thought it looked cool for awhile. Then a few more croped up here and there. Time to color quick! I had the finest professional results with the bowl, brush and Fekkai quality products that are all included in the kit. There is plenty of shine body and color lasting conditioning all packed inside this product. I really loved how it made my hair look and feel.

Quick Take: excellent but pricey.
I have not colored my own hair (besides crazy colors like hot pink) and was very nervous about what to use to get the right hue the hairdresser always does. I figured I'd be safe using a trusted name like Fekkai and I was right. The color came out beautifully true and my hair did not fry or frizz. The directions were easy to follow; I especially liked the tips and tricks of how to part hair and where to go first. I would have been lost. All in all a great product. The conditioner included is a great bonus as this conditioner is expensive on its own. I wouldnt buy the whole kit for just root touch ups though as this is a pretty pricey hair dye kit. But would definitely recommend!

Did a pretty good job- 07.21.09
used this dye to cover about an inch and a half of dark brown roots over light golden blonde highlights. It did a pretty good job evening out the roots and the color didn't pull too brassy but looks a little reddish...but very close to the box. I was pretty impressed because this did a decent job of dying both dark new growth and light color it looks pretty seamless. Would use again

Better than any home OR salon coloring I have had!- 07.08.09
I applied myself, over some very light blonde highlighting that had grown out. Results were amazing. Soft and silky...the scent was reminiscent of lilly of the valley, and the color was extremely natural. I am about 20% or less gray and all the gray covered easily. I was afraid of brassiness due to the "warm" in the color, but no brassiness at all. Will use this product again!

Great Hair Product!!!- 06.30.09
I recently dyed my hair with the Fekkai Ashley 10W Very Light Golden Blonde. After reading several of the reviews online about this new hair dye, I definitely wanted to try it out myself. I've been highlighting/dyeing my hair for several years now, and love trying new products. Originally my hair was dyed with a L'Oreal product, Couleur Experte -Level 8.0 (to give you an idea of my starting color), and resulted in being a light/natural blond. Like the other reviews I would suggest going a shade or two lighter than what you might naturally choose, which is what I did. But have to admit, I was nervous to do so since I have never dyed my hair with a box saying it was a 'level 10'. One thing I wish the box would say is a typical color resultant description of 3 or so different original shades and the resulting shade the dye will most likely come out looking, which is found on every other box of hair dye I have ever seen. You're kind of taking a leap of faith as to what the result will be without it. For me, the color came out looking natural, with just a hint of strawberry blond.
Overall I'm really happy with the color and will keep using it. My hair looks great.

I fluctuate between salon colors and home coloring. This was an easy process at home. I left the color on longer than stated on the box because nothing appeared to be happening during the prescribed time. My color does not appear like the box color but I do have previous deposits on my hair. I found the conditioner a little heavy for my hair, I am happy I colored at night and had not evening plans because I would have needed to rinse out the conditioner before styling. Overall my hair looks more natural and appears healthier with more volume. I will purchase again.

I'm 55 now so totally gray & have been coloring my hair since my teens. This is a great product. It gave me good overall coverage & color & was much gentler than other products I have used outside of the Salon. I'll be ordering it again.
