I hear amazing things about this line and this line of color. I returned it because my stylist said that it was not the right color for my hair.. I'm a brassy brunette and hate the red- she thought my hair would pick up all the warm tones in this color so I decided to go a different way.

Quite dark but still nice.- 03.13.10
Have used this twice now. Does go on dark like a medium brown but it still very pretty. It fades nicely and then becomes a dark blonde. The "Golden" in this color actually makes my hair slightly auburn with a reddish hue rather than golden. Messy to apply my first time, but even by the second time, it was much easier. Overall, I quite like the product.

Quick Take: consistantly good
I have been using this brand and color for about a year. Very satisfied. I would like to just purchase a refill packet without the bowl and brush, on occasions to cut down on cost of the product and landfill waste.

Much darker result - but extremely shiny- 03.01.10
Quick Take: result is darker than the box indicates., has excellent staying power., leaves hair in wonderful condition., well worth the cost.
This is an excellent product in that it covered my gray (I have around 15%,) left my hair in the same if not better condition than it was in before, (which was color treated but very healthy) and it is long lasting. Prior to application, my hair was dark brn with lots of caramel colored highlights. I was trying to save some $ and break away from my $200 touch-up every 50 days. Despite this routine, my hair is in great shape because I take great care of it. I applied this product as instructed and left it on the full 30 minutes. YIKES! The color came out almost blackish brown - with a great shine. The next morning and for the next 2 wks, I purposely shampooed it (daily!) with a high-end shampoo that is not recommended for color treated hair to try and lift the color ASAP. Over 10 days, the color did lift only slightly to a very dark brn with a gorgeous red tone - which I have a lot of naturally. I've done my best to shorten the lifespan of this color and not only has it stayed close to the original color, but it has continued to cover the gray hairs for over a month! I need to lighten it back up and will use the Medium Blonde next time. Hopefully, I will get the light brn color that I need. Unfortunately, my previous highlights are completely gone. I've gotten lots of compliments on this color, but it is just too harsh against my skin tone. Great product, just not the best color choice for me.

Color came out much darker than anticipated....my hair was peviously color treated and blonde with many highlights and unfortunately, grays. I was hoping to darken my color slightly. Not only did it darken my hair but it was very very brassy.

i'm giving this only three stars because i would not call the color my hair turned out dark golden blonde.. it's just brown like the most straight forward brown color there is BUT the color is very even it was very easy to follow the directions and the color does not fade it also made my hair shiny and look very healthy

Quick Take: fantastic!
While I was put off by the $30 price tag at first, I finally decided to give this product a try. The kit is very easy to use, I love the pre color treatment -but wish there had been more. The brush system really seemed to do a good job covering all the hair and the color felt very silky and luxurious afterwards. I would definitely buy this product again, but understand that Sephora is planning on discontinuing the line. I will have to buy it elsewhere when that happens.

This is expensive, but worth every penny! Everything you need is in the box. I have long hair, so I did have to buy two boxes. Thanks to this, my hair is the prettiest it has ever been! Quick Take: better than salon color
although I exchanged the color ( I chose 7W & returned it for exchange 7N), Fekkai Salon Color is by far the best haircolor I have ever had, salon or otherwise. I have been spending $175-200 for the past 15 years on salon color & highlights. I am now 50 but look 40ish & as a natural light brown I have had grays since I was 35. I have to do both hl & color if I want to go lighter without red tones. 7N is exactly my color & is so safe, I even highlight a few strands with a popular drug store brand highligher on top of it a day or two later every 2 or 3 colorings! My hair is a beautiful sun-kissed combo of dark, med & light blonde-much like the Jennifer Anniston color I have paid $200+ for years ! And it cost me less than $50! The only thing that could be better is if Fekkai made a highlight kit & root touch up kit! Then, I'd never go to the drugstore at all!

I went to use the haircolor and as I squeezed out the color it went from creamy yellow to a disgusting brown with some things in it - I couldn't even use it. $30 for hair color and it is bad! I tried calling the phone number they provide for help and the office was closed. Not very happy!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this in-store and chose the darker blond for the fall and winter. The results were wonderful. I got exactly the color on this box and this is amazing because I have mostly grey hair that is resistant to color. I would always get 2 -3 shades lighter with other products. My hair has shimmering highlights and it is a beautiful natural color. I am already getting lots of complements. If you want beautiful hair, buy this!
