Great Color- 11.17.09
This is my 2nd order of this hair color. It is much easier to use with the brush than a bottle. Costs a little more but worth it. The color is also shiny.

Good product overall, but very red in color...- 11.03.09
I read a lot of the reviews of this product/color and I went with this shade b/c a few said this color came out dark, "almost black" according to one. That is so not true!! My hair is dark chocolate brown and I just did root touch up, and now my roots are pretty reddish brown. It was even redder than on the box - I was actually expecting darker from the box picture, not just the reviews. And I do not like any red in my hair, so I will have to redo.
Other than that, my hair was very soft, it rinsed out easily, covers greys just okay (my greys are brassy red, whereas the rest of my roots are reddish brown) but does the trick, and I really preferred the bowl/brush to a squeeze applicator bottle.

Adequate but Is It Worth the Extra $$?- 10.21.09
Quick Take: adquate, a good color though not necessarily ash
I had checked out reviews for hair color products on several sites - from Sephora to iVillage. And this Fekkai hair color - and especially this color - received outstanding reviews. I just found the pan/brush to be a bit messy and the color to be slightly darker than I had hoped. The reviews also said that your hair would feel much softer after the color and conditioner but I didn't notice any difference. I'm just wondering if it's worth the $20 difference in price from other leading haircolor brands. I probably will try a different brand next time

This product created vastly better result than any top shelf drugstore color and as good of results I have had with professional colorists. Very easy to use. My 13yo applied the back. Very rich color with depth and variation of color throughout--no heavy flat unifiorm color. Well worth the $30. The Sephora salesperson helped pick the shade. Well worth the consultation, as I would have picked too light/reddish of shade.

shockingly dark!- 10.20.09
Be forewarned! For 'Medium Brown," this color is nearly black! That being said, the kit comes with a lot of mixture, which is great for my long hair, and the product smells very nice. In hindsight, I'd definitely pick a lighter shade to try for better results.

Great do it yourself hair color- 10.17.09
This color had beautiful tones to it without being brassy, covered the grays very well & did not fade. Well worth the extra money for a home color kit & certainly was a lot less than the cost of a salon color!

love the color and the way my hair feels. i have a really long hair and it doen't cover all of it. so i start with the roots and whatever its left the front and sides of the hair. if its just to touch up on roots one is planty but for the full hair i think 2 boxes are going to to the job. but $60 is as much as a hair salon.

I really liked this. It smelled good and it is still extremely shiny (been about 3 weeks since I dyed it). The brush and bowl did not work well for me, ended up using my hands. I received many compliments and a number of people thought it was done at a salon.

Great grey coverage- 10.06.09
The first time I used Fekkai hair color, I used the Jennifer Dark Brown color, because I usually go dark brown. But it was slightly darker than I had intended... it just didn't have any depth or color variations. But as time passed, the color faded just enough to get to the perfect shade. Once the roots grew out, I used this shade to dye the roots, and it worked PERFECTLY! No difference from the roots to the rest of my hair (which is quite long and curly). I LOVE this color - a great, multi-faceted Dark brown hair dye! And it really covered all of my grey roots.
One pointer - if your hair is longer than your shoulders, you need TWO BOXES to cover all of your hair!

Product was just okay. Not worth added cost over regular store brands. Color was fine, however even with the pre and post conditioning, still left hair a little dry and stressed. And smelled bad. On a positive, it did clean off my skin easily. Wouldnt buy again
