Wonderful- 11.20.09
Quick Take: long lasting, true to color
I've had my hair colored at the salon since I turned 13, but now at 19 I'm struggling to become financially independent and have more important things to spend $120 on. I was scared to try coloring my hair at home but I'm so glad I did!! My roots are an ashy medium brown, and this product blended them perfect with my almost black hair. My hair still felt healthy after coloring, and most importantly, this color does not fade in the slightest! I color every six to eight weeks on average, and this color looks almost exactly the same 2 months later as it did the day after it was done.
Be careful though, it stained the grout in my shower.

3N-Perfect match, shiny and smooth!- 11.06.09
Quick Take: comparable to high-end salon tints, easy to apply
I had only gone to the $alon for tints. A color expert at Sephora helped me pick out this shade to cover my gray roots. It is the perfect match--but better! My hair became shiny, soft and so beautiful--as if I just came out of the salon! !

WOW!- 10.30.09
Quick Take: what i have been waiting for
turning 44 next week and started going gray a few years ago. Every other hair product I have tried has turned my grays to redish tones..and roots show up quickly. NOT with Frederic Fekkai! My hair color is its natural dark brown, no highlights, shiney and looks young and fresh again!! Highly recommend this product!!!

Turned out great, but a lot of work to get there- 10.22.09
Quick Take: worth the money but get a friend to help, buy extra if you're hair is thick or long
My husband had to help me, as working with only the brush in the back of my head was very hard and the product was going to start burning the front. Although it was tricky to master the technique, the end result was shiner, richer, and better color and hair than I have ever got from a box before. (or most colorist for that matter) I wish I would have bought 3 boxes, I have thick long hair and 2 ran out a little in the back of my head. (you can't tell but I know it's there)

Awesome!- 10.14.09
I used to get my hair colored at the salon, but it got too expensive. So I started coloring my hair myself by mixing my own color from a beauty supply store. My hair had become quite damaged and coarse and hard to manage. I decided to try Fekkai's color and it is amazing! I noticed the difference when I washed the color out of my hair. It was very soft and I hadn't even put the conditioning mask on yet. I think the protectant you put on the hair before you start coloring helps protect the ends too. Now my hair looks better than it did before I started coloring it. It's very shiny, soft and looks totally natural. I feel like the color also has depth to it - doesn't look flat - and looks as good as salon color. I am a convert!

This haircolor is not cheap, that's for sure. However, it IS less expensive than salon color - and in my expereince you get better, shinier, more vibrant results.
Coloring your hair at home can be a pain and can be very messy... the tools provided with this kit make it as easy and as tidy as it can... still you need to be careful, but it is way better than the old fashioned drugstore shake-it-up-in-a-bottle and good luck type color.
Stunning results. All that is required is a little prep and patience and you get a better color for $30 at home than you would get from a salon for $70+ (single process only)

What you see is what you get- 07.18.09
Quick Take: excellent, a hair saver
I had a fantastic experience with this product! The color was exactly the one you see on the box, no surprises! It made my hair soft, smooth and shiny! I don't need to use any products on my hair for shine or anything. It's the best.

Really dark black brown color- 07.13.09
Quick Take: ok
I have medium length hair. This is my second FF hair color purchase, earlier had tried 'Medium brown' which looked brazzy reddish brown on me in sunlight. 3N looked more closer to my natural hair color. Covers most grays and 1 box worked for me. On the negative side, this color was really difficult to rinse out. I still have some residue the next day :( (needed more washes) and the hair color smell lingered for 3-4 days. On the positive side, I like the color but not sure how it will fade.

Fantastic!- 07.03.09
I would totally buy this again. I have been coloring my hair for years and this is hands down the best at home color there is. The smell is not overbearing...it smells a bit more, shall we say, "herbal", as opposed to chemical. The color was fantastic and true to the box color. My hair is thick and is about an inch off of my shoulders. There was plenty of product to do my roots as well as enough to throw some through the rest of my hair. My hair looked and felt amazing afterwards. Most importantly, it didn't fade quickly. I am 5 weeks out and it still has a shine to it! VERY PLEASED!

Better than drug store, not quite salon...- 05.12.09
Quick Take: easy to use
If you're looking for a middle of the road solution to cheap looking drug store brands and overpriced single process salon color, here it is. As with all Fekkai products, it's good stuff. Pricey, but good.
The color is really nice, and it's quite shiny too.
My only complaint is that it takes about 6 washes to get the hair color smell out of your hair. I washed and washed and washed... and it still smelled like the hair color processing solution for days. But it's not a deal-breaker by any means.
I got my hair cut a few days later, and the girl who cuts my hair commented on how shiny and healthy my hair looked. She had no idea I'd just colored at home.
