Quick Take: gentle formula
I got a small bottle of this in a Mascara/Eye Makeup Remover Duo, and let me first say -- this stuff is good at taking my eye makeup off. I dab a small amount in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, and rub my eyes after that (while in the shower --not in front of the mirror so I can actually see what I"m doing.) It's effective in taking off my makeup, but man--this stuff is OILY. I then use normal face wash to get the oily residue off my eye area/whole face. All I know, is when I get out out of the shower, and actually LOOK in the mirror --I don't have the crazy black streaks on my face I used to. I like that, but kind of dislike how hard I have to rub to get the oily residue off my face. That's why it gets 4 stars...it's "GOOD," but not my favorite.

Mostly, I just use eye makeup. So I wanted an eye makeup remover that would easily remove my intense color and long-wear shadows and mascaras. I used to use Paula Dorf Sweep Away until she stopped making it. I love other Givenchy products and thought I would be impressed w/ this. I was not. It will remove your eye makeup, but you have to scrub a bit too much for my preference, and sometimes go back over your lash line w/ a q-tip the next morning; scrubbing even more, once again. Also, it separates VERY quickly; almost while I'm squirting it onto my cotton pad. I will return it and try Dior's.
