Quick Take: lightweight
I find this to make my skin look oily and it does not even out or 'prime' the skin as good as some of the other products on the market if you are looking for something to give you that even-toned look. If you are prone to dry skin and looking for something with a shine and a high SPF this would be good for you. Another thing to watch for is that I find that it can be reactive to other products I have applied to my skin in that it kind of 'clumps' or 'peels' off dependant on the lotions/foundation I have used.

Quick Take: controls oily shine
I like BritePrep because it controls my very oily nose shine for longer than most products. It also gives a nice glow to my face.
I use moisturizer, then quickly and lightly smooth it over my face, starting at my nose, forehead and chin. If you rub it, or take too long, it will sort of peel.

Quick Take: evens out skintone
I use this product year-round. It definitely has a mild highlighting, smoothing effect and a moisturizing quality. It is a little oily, but for my age 50+ fair skin it is perfect. As a melanoma survivor, I was drawn to this product, in part, because of the high SPF. I had gotten a sample of it a couple of years ago, and have used it continously since. I am not a big make-up wearer, and so I use this and some light powder, and it leaves me with a smooth complexion. I should also say that I am not someone who spends a lot on beauty products, and this the only product I would pay this much for. It is definitely worth it to me.

Look know further - this is the one! This is smooth feels heavenly going on - you only need a little - spf 50 is great to protect me skin. foundation goes on better too

I didn't care for the texture when putting the primer on my face (it doesn't feel as smooth as other primers), and although it did appear to "brighten" my face, it appeared to clump with my foundation (even though I had applied it after the primer had dried) later in the day.

I do like this product. It takes some getting use to due to the fact that it does have a shimmer to it. It is NOT over the top with the shimmer and shine though. I use this as my base and then on top use a powder foundation. It has helped to make my skin look much more smooth and I always get compliments on my makeup and skin. It is pricey but I believe this product is worth it.

I love this primer. It makes my skin glow, but it's subtle enough that I don't look over done or sparkly. I love the fact that it has SPF 50, so I don't need a separate daily sunscreen. I can't recommend this enough.

Quick Take: protective!
I am pretty diligent about wearing sunscreen. Over the years I've had laser and IPL, and I know how expensive it can be to repair the damage the sun can cause. This is a great product for drier skin, and remember that a little goes a long way. It's one of very few products that I will continue to use in my daily skin care routine. It provides a great sun protecting base for tinted moisturizer or foundation. It can look very greasy and shiny if you use too much, but it will sink in after 20 minutes or so. I use this alone on weekends and while on vacation. I have also used it as an emergency sunscreen if I am out in the sun too long and need to reapply sunscreen. Wear sunscreen every day!

I love this stuff!!! I used a free promo code and got a sample of it with my last order and I'm thinking about buying a full size bottle. I love the texture and it works beautifully with my foundation. I can see how some of the bad reviewers had an issue with it being too shiny, but I always set with powder so that isn't an issue for me.

This is too heavy on my skin and causes breakouts. Also, the formula separates, so when I squeeze it out, I have to mix the clear liquid with the white lotion on the back of my hand.
It looks fine on the skin, but it doesn't let my skin breathe. It's too oily.

I'm looking for a new primer and decided to get a sample of this. If you have combo skin like me, I would HIGHLY advise you not to buy this product. In fact, I can't imagine this product working for anyone in general.
First of all, this primer feels greasy and heavy. I don't know about brightening but it sure makes it look like an oily mess. I already have oily skin so this is a no-go for me.
For some reason, this primer is tinted and once it dries, it settles into any dry areas you might have. For me, it's around my nose and I ended up with a weird thick outline on my face.
Secondly, this primer made my Double Wear Light look cakey and streaky. It simply looks bad. And Cover FX should feel bad.
And finally, the price...really...? At that cost, I would expect unicorns to jump out of the tube and gently use their magic to make my skin look radiant. But no. That doesn't happen and therefore, the price isn't justified.

Yes, it has 50 SPF but there is a thing called sunscreen out there that works just as well (if not better).
So overall, I wouldn't recommend this primer to anyone. It's too greasy, too heavy, and makes your skin look terrible.

I got this as a sample, used it this morning, and I'm totally buying the full size! I have oily skin but my skin has looked matte all day. (I also used Urban Decay De-slick) I love the high spf and usually stay away from spf products as they always make me greasy but not this one. I could tell immediately after doing my foundation that any cakiness was taken care of and my skin had a smooth and elastic look to it.

This primer goes on smooth and never flakes. It makes my pores look small however my face does become a tad bit greasy. Best of all its SPF 50!! Which sad to say is more than most facial moisturizers out there.

I bought this product for the brightening effects, but sadly, found no results. It is greasy and made my skin look more oily. I was not thrilled with it. And it was expensive for not delivering promised results.

I bought this stuff because of the skin brightener, primer, and high spf. However, It did not work with my oily skin. Plus it was super expensive. I ended up returning it and just getting a sun screen from loreal and I would say it worked better for not making me shiny especially for only being around 7 bucks.

Recently I had to spend three days in direct sunlight for hours on end. I had forgotten my sunscreen and the first day I caught a bit of a burn.BritePrep FX to the rescue, the SPF 50 saved my skin on day 2 and 3. It may be a bit pricey as sunscreen, but I am now a fan for life!
