I AM SO UPSET WITH THIS PRODUCT. I HAVE NEVER WROTE A REVIEW BEFORE THIS, BUT I BOUGHT THIS WITH HOPES OF MATTEFYING INSTEAD OF MOUSTRIZING. AT FIRST IT SEEMED TO WORK WELL, BUT AFTER A WEEK I HAVE THE WORST BREAK OUT EVER! I'M TAKING THIS BACK TO THE STORE TODAY!! DO NOT BUY!!!!

Quick Take: oil-free is key for acne!!, tingles/refreshing, slows oil production down
I've always been scared to use moisturizers because my skin is so weird. my battle with acne has haunted me since i was a teen so as an adult, i'm very self-conscience of my skin. always looking for ways to keep my acne under control, keep the shine off of my face and improve my skin's overall condition. i was under the impression that because my skin gets oily throughout the day, moisture would only make it worse. i would get horrible pimples and blackheads right under my chin - at certain times of the month, around my mouth and forehead (told you...weird skin) that NOTHING would help clear up. i've tried all of the acne sets - proactive, murad, philosophy...nothing was working. now while i'm still experimenting with cleansers and correction creams...i believe i have found my moisturizer through dr. brandt line! i was completely wrong about moisturizing my skin...it's actually IMPERATIVE. i just needed to find one that was oil-free and helps with acne-prone skin...THIS IS IT! the lotion absorbs quickly...feels kinda tingly/refreshing... lightweight...helps oil secretion/production with everyday use - the only reason i give it 4 out of 5 stars is because it has a weird smell to it...kind of sulfur-like. the smell fades after a while but it does tends to linger for a bit.
if you struggle to keep your skin moisturized while trying to maintain acne breakouts...give this a try. if it worked for me, there's a GREAT CHANCE it will work for you. best of luck to you girls on our journey to everlasting beauty! ;)

I have searched for a moisturizer that doesn't make me break out since I was 16, over 20 years later, THIS IS IT! I can use it on my whole face. Not only does it not make me break out, it clears my skin too!

It was very hydrating and absorbent, I would have continued using this product if I didn't break-out after using it. I normally don't have acne. So it was pretty disappointing and I will not be purchasing this again.

I have oily-ish skin and was always using oil blotting sheets. I got a facial and they recommended I try a hydrator instead of a moisturizer (which adds oil) so I decided to give this one a try despite the price tag (I used to use Aveeno moisturizer which was cheaper). I've been using this for a few months now and it's been GREAT. My face doesn't get as shiny during the day and it's definitely improved the overall condition of my skin. I love it. I know people have commented that it tingles when you put it on but it's very minor and never bothers me (my skin is prone to redness and this does not make my skin red or anything either). Would definitely recommend this.

Quick Take: mattifying calming pore perfecting
I tried a sample of this moisturizer and I loved it. I looked poreless and it helped my makeup meltdown slow down a but. After I purchased it and have been using it daily, I've been breaking out and have a few dry patches. I'm not sure if this product is the culprit but I'm still trying to like it.
Also, it smells kinda weird.

Have long been in search for a daily moisturizer. My skin is combination + acne prone, so it's difficult finding one that is hydrating but won't make me more oily/break out. Love this product, have been using twice daily for about two weeks. My skin looks moisturized, less blackheads, pores tighter and best of all I am not oily by mid day. Also, price is good for what you get --less than a pea size amount covers my entire face and throat so this tube may last for 3 or 4 months. Will be repurchashing (if mine ever finishes)!

I've been using the old formula as my summer moisturizer for a few years. It does help to keep my skin clear when nothing else will. I like that it is not oily and it absorbs quickly. The only downside is it can be drying and cause flakes when you use it everyday, but that is to be expected with any acne product.

so i tried a sample, and its very hydrating, soft, smooth, not very tingly, feels very good for acne skin. SMELLS good. its just absorbs too fast...i dont like, and dries up ur skin fast!

I use this only during the summer because I can get extremely oily. When you put it on it feels cooling/burning at times. I really like this only during the summer though. I use it first and then put a smashbox primer over it.

I received a sample of this lotion in a packet and loved it. It was super creamy, really light, and absorbed quickly. It also gave a great tingly feeling. I ordered the product and it was not the same! First of all, the lotion is super watery. I don't know if I got a bad batch but it comes out watery and yucky. It still tingles, but that's all that is the same. Also the packaging is too much - you can't tell how much you have and I couldn't shake, open, or do anything to try and help the consistency.

love this stuff. it's a bit tingly but i guess that's how you know it's getting right down into every single pore. i use this after every shower and it's amazing at keeping my skin clear. the other products in this line are meh, overkill. if you use the Purity made simple and finish off with this you'll have beautiful skin in no time. i just get blemishes around my forehead and mouth but this keeps it from going CRAZY. i definitely love it

I was looking for a good moisturizer that wouldn't make me oily, or break me out, but still kept my skin from drying out, and this product did the trick. It's fantastic. I just finished my first bottle and will be getting my second one soon. It's very light, and makes your skin so soft. It smells a little like Elmer's glue, but it wasn't a problem for me. I got used to the smell very quickly. I would recommend this product to anyone.
