This is a nice alternative to the Mason Pearson brush. I stopped using a plastic brush after my hair became fragile from many rounds of bleaching, and this seems gentle enough. It is difficult to clean, however.

Quick Take: shine enhancing, thickens thin hair, enhances color, works well on thick and thin hair
The reviews won me over so I took the $20 plunge. I have thick, long hair with dry ends so it's always tangled. I hate brushing my hair because I'm always tearing through it. I was very excited to receive this in the mail. On my first use, there was no having to rip through it, it's very easy to brush all the way through my hair. My boyfriend has long hair like I do but much thinner. Of course I had to use this on him as well, and it transformed his dull, stringy hair. It's much thicker now and a lot of it's natural color came back to it. It disperses the natural oils from the top of your hair and brings it down to the ends where it's needed. Buy this brush, it's not cheaply made, it will be your best friend.

Static Magnet
-05.06.13
I wanted a natural bristle brush but this one's not for me. Can't get rid of the static electricity that makes my hair stand on end. Giving this one away.

Quick Take: shine enhancing, easy to hold
It took a bit to get used to the longer bristles (they're a bit pokey), but otherwise it's great. Detangles great, and my hair has never been shinier!

Best Brush Ever!
-04.25.13
Quick Take: shine enhancing, easy to hold, just right
This brush is ideal for me! I have very fine hair, prone to breakage. I need a brush that is gentle on my locks but sturdy enough to get out any tangles. Most brushes can do one or the other, but this brush successfully does BOTH! I love it. No problems with static or scalp irritation--nothing but smooth & shiny hair!

Not as expected...
-04.18.13
I've used boar bristle brushes for over 20 years. Compared to those brushes, the bristles on this bursh are hard and stiff -the brush does detangle but is a little harsh. I don't feel the brush warrants the price asked.

Best Brush Investment !
-04.15.13
Quick Take: easy to hold, shine enhancing
I have fine hair that gets oily fast. Bought this brush because I was told that the natural bristles would help and it totally did !!! I pull out less hair when I brush, reduced static in the morning and my hair is not as oily throughout the day! BEST investment in styling tools I have ever made!!

Would recommend!
-04.10.13
My hair breaks a lot so I decided to buy a new hairbrush in hopes it would help! I still lose a lot of hair (have been told this is very normal) but I don't think my hair is BREAKING as much. Definitely leaves my hair super soft and it lives up to the name with its detangling action. I do not style my hair (I have very straight hair) so I can't speak to that. Very reasonable price.

Quick Take: easy to hold, shine enhancing
I love my new brush I have a lot of hair and is currently in the shape of a bob. This brush does not hurt at all, yes the plastic bristols are a bit hard but they don't scratch my scalp at all. This brush smooths out my hair and gives me incredible shine!

Does the opposite of its claims
-04.04.13
Quick Take: static-producing, harsh on scalp
I thought this brush would be great because of the reviews and the description, for my fine, straight, medium length hair. But this is the worst brush I've used.
The nylon bristles are HORRIBLE and sharp, they ripped my scalp and gave me a huge blemish near my hairline. Also, it gives me twice as much static as my old brush. I swipe it through ONCE and all of my hair is standing on end. So gentle=very very harsh, non-static=horrible static. Got it, this will be returned immediately.

YIKES
-04.02.13
Quick Take: a torture device
Before I purchased this brush I read all the reviews and most of them were good and they raved about the brush. My experience with this brush was not good. The nylon bristles that are in the middle of the boar bristles are way to stiff and absolutely tore into my scalp, and I was gentle the first time I used it. I have other round brushes that are the same style and the nylon bristles are more flexible and don't dig into your scalp. I really can't believe I read reviews about people using this brush on their kids. I don't have a tender head by any means, but this brush just about ripped my scalp open. There is no way I could use it so I had to return it. Other than that, the quality of the brush seemed very good, it had a nice amount of boar bristles, and the silicone grip made it easy to hold on to.

Creates a static mess!
-03.28.13
Not sure what the rave is about? This brush makes me otherwise smooth hair super staticky. The bristles seem a bit too short to effectively brush my hair. Try a different one.

didn't work
-03.28.13
My daughter's hair is fine but wavy, so very tangly. Mine is fine and full of static. This brush says it will handle both. One swipe through her hair, she's crying. One through mine and the static made me look like I had touched one of those lightning bolty science balls that makes your hair stand on end. No good.

Quick Take: shine enhancing, easy to hold, massaging
I have read review after review and was considering buying a $45 brush. =0 I care that much about my hair SMH. So I love this brush, it is well worth the 20 it cost. If you are looking for a brush that is good for your hair and does the job too... look NO further!!!

Happy so far
-03.20.13
Quick Take: easy to hold
I have very long, very thick hair. I was hoping to find a brush to help with static issues and my stylist advised buying a brush of this type for several reasons. I felt like the price of this brush made it a safe investment so that if I hated it, I hadn't invested $50. I like it so far and so far it doesn't stir up static. It does do well detangling too. I use a vented brush for drying my hair, though. I"m afraid it would take all day if I didn't.

GREAT BRUSH, but sharp bristles
-03.12.13
Quick Take: easy to hold
I never thought to invest in a good brush before. I had always bought the cheap plastic ones from places like Walmart because I didn't know that it would make a difference. A brush is a brush, right? I bought this one after hearing about it from my sister who got it as a gift. Unlike the cheap ones, this brush does NOT leave your hair full of static. I can also use it to brush through the tangles without pain. The only drawback for me were that the bristles were sharp so I avoid using it on my scalp. My sister, on the other hand, doesn't seem to mind. All in all, I think it's a great product.

Awesome
-02.28.13
Quick Take: easy to hold, exfoliating, detangling, volumizing
This brush rules. It's gentle enough not to pull out or break my hair, which, since I am getting older, is crucial; however it's strong enough to get through thick, tangly hair. It distributes the oils from my hair, so I don't have to damage it by washing every day. It even exfoliates my scalp and eliminates dandruff (I know, ew)! I have thick, coarse, wavy hair that tends to be unpredictable and hard to keep from going flat or weirdly floofy, but this brush gives me the big, grown-up, cougar look that I crave!
