I bought the Sephora Brand Complexion kit. I first bought the tan and it was too yellow. I then exchanged for the medium. It is not the right color either It was definitely a no hassle exchange. My only complaint is that everyone was helpful in assisting me except was not offered to smaple make up first. SO Now I have another color does not work. I live about 50 miles from nearest Sephora. I ususally shop at the St Clair Square in Fairview Hts. They do not have a Sephora so I will probably not go back to return it again.

Decent Enough- 09.29.09
I wanted to try this kit because I used to wear Sephora's mattifying powder foundation in the warm caramel shade (D34) and I thought it was decent enough...I figured the Tan shade in this line would be the closest match because their next shade would be wayyy too dark... WRONG! The powder is definitely too light...the shades in their mineral line are extremely limited for some odd reason...other than that, the brushes, primer, and concealer are all amazing and make this purchase worth it.

I was very unsure going for this product against the Bare Minerals I had planned on buying, but am glad I did. I was looking for something that would give me good coverage against my scarred face, and the concealer worked phenomenally, particularly when used with the brush. Of course, the primer was nice to smooth the skin, but the compact was just awful in my opinion. It did not look natural to me in bright light, no matter which way I had applied it. I bought the tan kit, and it was much lighter than I had expected.
I wouldn't suggest this whole kit - only the concealer and the nice brush for application. The primer is inexpensive so it's also a good buy - but the compact was just not as natural looking as I had hoped.

Fantastic Complexion Kit!- 09.23.09
Quick Take: affordable, great value, highly recommended, smooth finish
I was a bit skeptical before I purchased this kit (I'm an amateur with picking correct foundation colours - the last time I purchased a foundation kit, my face was awkwardly paler in comparison to my actual complexion and skin tone!) but I'm very pleased with this. I was worried the Tan D35 foundation would turn mismatched on me, but it was perfect!
The kit does what it says: the cover is easily buildable until you have your desired coverage and it still leaves your skin with a smooth finish! The primer quickly mattifies your skin to ensure a smooth application. The concealer brush is fantastic, as is the actual concealer itself. For the mineral compact foundation, you can choose to apply it with either the double-sided sponge or the powder brush, depending on the coverage you're looking for. I personally love the double-sided sponge - application is a breeze and can be quickly done!
The only downfall to this kit, I find, is the powder brush. It distributes well enough, but a head's up: the bristles will shed every-now-and-then! Just make sure to always check for any stray hairs that may have fallen out of the brush before heading out.
Also, the kit includes a step-by-step how-to guide that allows applications for beginners a cinch!
This kit is a GREAT value (the concealer brush already covers approximately half the price)! I highly recommend this product. If you're unsure of the colour, visit the kit in-store to be sure. Superb kit!

Just recently I went into sephora and I tried out this kit. I have real oily skin as well as acne prone skin...so I am really picky about things I use. Once the sales associate put it on me, everything just covered so well and looked so natural. I didn't feel like there was much make up on me at all. I also about the sephora brand mineral viel that I could put on at any time when I get oily! I love how it comes with a concealer brush, and the concealer covers RIGHT AWAY! the double sided sponge and powder brush allows for different levels of coverage! I really like it and can't wait to continue using it!
