My skin is the definition of combination. I get very dry patches and then have other places where I get very oily. After switching to the MUFE matte velvet foundation I found that I just needed a little extra moisture boost. This is it. You don't need much, but the difference is immediate. My make up is staying on longer, I don't get dry patches, and the extra moisture is even helping to keep the oily patches away in combination with the foundation. On days when I need a little more moisture I just layer it under foundation. I absolutely love the way my skin looks when I use this product. I've even gone a few days just wearing blush and mascara after putting this on which is something I never do because of my skin. Worth every cent!

I have psoriasis so even when I use a primer unless I moisturizer my skin is still try. I wear this product under my primer and its the best ever. So happy with this product.

a waste of money, does not do anything my skin was still dry and it was hard for my skin to absorb this product I had to rub it in for awhile before it would disappear. I would not recommend this to anyone

First of all, I think there is some product confusion here because it sounds like people have bought this thinking it was a moisturizer or that it minimizes lines. This is a serum for under your makeup to make it look smoother and to brighten your complexion, but it probably will NOT yield any long-term results.
Anyway, I love this! I suggest that the best way to use this is after cleansing and before primer. Unless you prefer to mix it into your foundation. I think it brightens up my face and makes it look healthier, and I find that when I use it, it makes me feel so naturally pretty that I end up wearing less makeup!
However, the smell isn't great. It isn't too strong, but it does kind of smell like a science laboratory or something.
Lastly, the price may not be justified. It's not more expensive than most serums, BUT the bottle isn't very big.

This stuff is just amazing I was hesitant to buy because of the price for that tiny thing! But reading all the good reviews I decided to give it a try!! & is amazing I use it for under my eyes for the most part! & is just wonderful! & really a little bit goes along way! :)

I bought this elixir because my makeup creates lines under my eyes or cakes into laugh lines around my mouth. I have used it for a month and at no application did I see any appreciable difference in how my makeup settled onto my face. Really wanted to like it but it was useless for me.

Honestly, I do not see much of any difference, whether I apply this product or not. It does help reduce my makeup's tendency to cake around my mouth--thus reducing the appearance of laugh lines (those lines that you don't even have until you apply liquid foundation), but the product isn't anything spectacular. However, I will probably buy it again, because it's better than not doing anything caking. After primer, I put a bit of elixir around my mouth straight from the elixir bottle. I have also mixed some into my liquid foundation.

I bought this a while ago, because I wanted to use something under my foundation other than my moisturizer since I have extremly oily skin. I used it and wasnt really impressed. But, last week I put a little drop under my eyes before my concealor. And let me tell you. it doesnt crease. This is my holy grail. keeps my under eye area moisturized but the plus, it keeps my concealor from creasing. great product

Got to try this while getting a complentary makeover and decided to buy it cause it sounded like it had amazing benefits. The dispensor is very bizare, the liquid spreads very nicely and dries non-greasy very quickly. Did not feel like I had an increased "surge" of moisture and in fact had to spritz on some rose water as to not appear cakey.

I bought this when I was purchasing the other MUFE HD items, and I did not think I needed it.
The beauty consultant showed me the difference with this product on and it was amazing.
I have very dry skin in the winter and this soaked right in and instantly moisturized and plumped my skin. The effect lasted until I washed my face that night.
I use this whenever my skin needs a little moisture pick-me-up.

Make Up For Ever products are fabulous, but I always seem to have that nervous voice in the back of my mind telling me not to try anything new at the risk of waking up with a rash on my face. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of the product. Let me make it clear- this is not an anti-aging serum as some people have reviewed it as. It is deep moistuization for those who get dry flaky skin under their foundation. apply before or mix in a drop with your foundation for best results.
