Great make up- 11.22.09
Quick Take: natural finish
I bought this matte foundation because my color was not available in the original formula. Its very simialr to the original and i actually dont notice much difference, but that could be because its winter and my skin doesnt get as oily. I like it though and will probably love it in the summer time,

Quick Take: buildable coverage, natural finish
I've been using Bare Minerals for about five years, and was pleasantly surprised with the new matte finish foundation. The coverage is even better than the original formula and seems to stay looking good well into the day.

Quick Take: non-drying
I went through 2 of the original foundation and I loved the fact it looks natural and covers well. The only problem is the product tends to come off easily on my clothes and my oily skin requires blotting sheets a couple times a day. When I heard about this Matte version, I had to purchase it! But to my disappointment, this one is the same as the original, in fact, it makes my skin feel sticky as if i have an extra layer of skin.
The only thing I really liked about it is the design of the container. I will go back to the original product, save $3, and pour it into the new container.

I really love this product. I have oily skin and as the day continues I do not get that oily build up like I do with other products. My makeup still feels light even after I've had the makeup on all day. I would absolutely recommend this product.

I thought the Matte foundation would be different than the original stuff but it really wasn't. The container is more convenient, however. I use the very lightest shade and the original formula always matched perfectly, but the same shade in the Matte formula was actually a little darker. I've always loved Bare Escentuals and it's still a great product, just not any better than the original.

I am a long time devoted bareMinerals user..I think it's the best. Matte Foundation is a huge DISSAPOINTMENT. Its poor coverage leaves you dry & cakey. Besides, the container has about 40% less product versus the original . Try a sample first!

I love this product. If you have oil skin in the T-zone it is perfect for you! Stays on a little longer than regular foundation and hide all flaws all day!

I hate this stuff!- 11.20.09
Ok, 1st of all I ordered the fairly light color, which is pure yellow! It does not cover the way the regular kind does and it made my skin dry and flaky. I was very disapointed in this version!

I have been a B.E. product user for about 3-4 years now and love the makeup. I never thought it could get any better, but they defiinitely have with the new matte powder. It offers superior coverage without shine - even by the end of the day. The new product casing is worthy of 5 stars by itself!

Quick Take: like the original best
I was excited to try the 'new' matte foundation. However, I found that I did not receive the coverage that I did with the original. I tried applying more and then it caked. So, I took it back and stayed with the original.

Okay girls the best way to enjoy Matte is to mix equal parts of the Original with the Matte and you get better coverage than before AND you don't need concealer of any kind. I LOVE MATTE!

I used the original Bare Minerals foundation and I loved it but I always had to reapply mineral veil because my skin got shiny. With Matte, I don't even use mineral veil and my skin stays matte all day! The coverage is very buildable, I like a heavier coverage, and it works well as a concealer too. I highly recommend it for anyone with oily skin.

I have used Bare Escentuals for a few years now and was considering switching to something else, then they released the new Matte foundation. I decided to try it out and my love affair with Bare Escentuals has been renewed! I love how light and natural the coverage is. Thankfully, if you need more color, it is a more buildable color than the original. I feel this is a more natural looking foundation and I'm extremely happy with the new formula. I also love the new packaging and the locking lid. My foundation used to get everywhere and now it stays in the container where it's supposed to be.
