LOVE this- 11.20.09
The colors are PERFECT and last all day. The very first day I used it, a co-worker commented on how pretty my eyes looked as soon as I walked into the office! Two little drawbacks: the brush could be a little more...more. I mean, nine shadow shades and ONE brush? Also, these shadow shades are not available individually, which is a bummer--I use the "Day" shades a lot more than the others and would like to replenish as I use those shades up rather than having to buy a whole new kit. Overall FANTASTIC, though.
Great colors, very convenient packaging. I don't use the brush that came with it though. I prefer to use actual brushes (not the cheap applicator). It makes it go on a bit more sheer and even with a brush. The cards that come with it are kinda obvious, but helpful if you are new to smoky eyes etc.
It's very convenient to have all of the colors together in a pallette like this. If you are big on brownish shades I would highly recommend this. I think it would look best with blue eyes, but good on all.
Quick Take: good value, experiment away!, natural looking (even the glittery ones)
So I've stopped wearing eye shadows to work because it's a really laid back corporate culture... but I bought this during the Sephora sale and now I'm back to playing around with these every morning before going to work! The first few days I tried out the sample cards, but because of the way the box is designed, you have an idea as to which colours go on which parts of your lid. So when you experiment and try new colours, you create new but natural looks each time! LOVE the feel, have even tried a few days without my eyelid primer and they still hold on pretty strong for the day. BEST OF ALL people stop telling me I look tired all the time (secretly, I still am... shhhh!!)

I definitely like all of the colors in this collection, especially the browns. The peachy and pink colors are not as bright (more sheer) than I expected though. Still nice colors.
The colors in this palate did not work for me. The day look was way to grey for my skin tone, and the classic was very bubble gum pink. I didn't even attempt the last one, way too glittery. 3 stars since i'm sure the product is good, just didn't work for my coloring. Returning it.
This kit is great! The how-to cards that come with it really help and teach you how to get the perfect look! The colors are all fairly neutral but some have a sparkle to them. They all go on very easily and blend well. I will be buying this kit in Smokey Eyes too! LOVE IT! I only give it 4 stars because it would be nice to have more than one applicator in the kit to use.
LOVE the colours and the how to cards. I have been searching for the perfect pallet of neutral shadows that don't make me look tired or dull. The texture is great and the colours stay on all day!
I purchased this yesterday at the Sephora store in Freehold. I was excited to get home and tty it on. I own a small version similar to this from Benefit (which I LOVE) but this it by far much more versatile. I'm wearing it today at work...my eyes look spunkier. Tomorrow I will try another look for fun. Much more to do with these colors without going overboard. I have a 4-month old, so I don't go out at all/much, which wsa why I wanted something I can wear that would not be 'boring.' This set has so far, brought some pizzaz to my eyes after being up all last night with my little one who will begin teething soon! enjoy ladies!
I bought this because I have no idea how to use eyeshadow and I didn't want to look like a drag queen--I just wanted something that looked natural. This was the perfect solution! The day and classic looks are very wearable--your eyes look more dramatic and refined but its almost like you aren't wearing any makeup at all. The brushes were pretty useless, but I have my own brushes so it wasn't a problem. And the instructions were VERY helpful.
I saw this kit and i said this is just what i need! the colors are beautiful with a bit of sparkle and it makes ur eyes pop out very nice! its a must have!
I will use EVERY color in this kit. Shadows go on nicely, blend well, and last all day, especially if you use a little lid primer. Great palette, great product!!
I always go for the neutral makeup look and never have been able to find fun, neutral eye colors that are in one kit with a "how-to" guide until now. I LOVE this kit. The colors go on like velvet--the day trio is my favorite by far. The darkest eye shade of the day trio works wonderful as a liner. The classic trio is fun too, but I've learned not to have such a heavy hand when applying because it can look too overdone for me. But that's just my opinion about how I obviously needed instructions for how to appy--there's nothing wrong with the product! I definitely have an aging eye area (yea, into all the disappearing wrinkle cremes) and these shadows NEVER crease on me!! LOVE THEM! My only suggestion would be to make sure you have additional brushes besides the one stick that comes with the kit.
I used this eye shadow palette for the for the first time today, and I love it! The colors are gorgeous, and highly pigmented (a little bit goes a long way). I also love how each color has a slight shimmer to really make your eyes pop. But, the best part for me is the little instruction cards that came with it. I dont really know a whole lot about makeup application, what colors go together, or how to blend, so the instructions were a huge help to a novice like me. I have a feeling that I'll be getting a ton of use out of this. Im thinking about getting the smokey eye collection now!
I ordered this and was anxious to get it to try the colors. I absolutely LOVE THEm. All 9 colors are absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the matte look, the classic and also the glittery Fashion color. SO versatile and SO beautiful. Great quality I HIGHLY recommend.
I really like this eye shadow kit. It has a nice look for daytime and it's easy to add a great evening look. The bottom 2 larger shadows have some glitter to them that's nice for an evening look. The smaller shadows are nice for shading the mid part of the eye lid and it even contains shadow you can use for liner -- all with a nice brush.
I wanted to buy this about two months ago, but my local Sephora was out; they got 'em back in, and I grabbed one! This has great neutral shades that compliment my blue eyes. I especially like Heaven and Sexpresso for everday, and can't wait to try some of the shimmery, sexy shades for a night out. The cards make application easy (you can substitue colors from each trio) , and I love the angled brush for lining my eyes. The glittery shade, Nude Beach, is fun--but the glitter is quite large and noticeable. I won't be wearing that one to work... again. If you use the shadow as a liner, it can come off when you blink, but applying it with a lighter hand seems to help.
