...that you apply this foundation with a DAMP SPONGE, not dry! This makes a huge difference when applying the cream makeup. There are no directions in the packaging, so it's an easy mistake to make. Check out the Illimasqua website to see video clips of every product including the terrific "moving swatches".

I find the true color of the foundation takes a while to show itself, which i find unsettling. he coverage is pretty thin, though once you get used to the color, and apply evenly, it gives a pretty decent coverage and is neither greasy nor drying. Still, I was not happy with with the color and wanted a bit more coverage, so i returned it.

It is impossible to find foundation for super pale Irish skin. I have ruddy cheeks but whitey-white skin; because of my high color, sales clerks always give me the wrong foundation shade which makes me look like I failed with self tanner or my 6 year old did my foundation. This is the first foundation I've been able to find since I used to live in Paris that actually provides the ultra-fair color that I need. I bought 110--which is actually lighter than my real skin tone. Not to fear! The beauty of Illamasqua is that you can build the coverage. A single light application is enough to even my skin tone out and provide a bit of extra sun protection (note: I always use SPF15 foundation in the morning). Add another layer and you get a flawless porcelain face. I have since purchased the 120, which is a good match for my skin in transition months when I'm getting more sun, but don't have a tan. I can layer the two shades together to get a perfect match for my skin.
Positives:

-light touch to foundation... never leaves a mask-like feel or feels cakey
-smells wonderful!
-cleans up nicely yet I've never noticed any makeup on my clothing after wearing it

I have pale skin and whenever I try a foundation (even the palest shade with pink undertones) it makes my skin look yellow. I bought the white with pink undertones and it is EXACTLY what I am looking for in a foundation. I love being pale and this is actually a shade lighter than my natural skin tone without making me look like i have cheap, unblended, halloween makeup on. It has pretty good and build able coverage. It also smells really good I thought that I had sugar on my face or something when I first applied it, it smell exactly like sugar cookies. I am definitely going to use this again.

The only con to this product is - is the small size of product. I've had this compact for a few months - and I've already hit pan!
This really does offer perfect coverage, it's buildable, and really does mask any imperfections - but it doesn't look like cakey, or like a mask. The sponge is really good quality, and helps create the flawless face we all want. With the sponge - my whole face is done in a matter of seconds, not minuetes, blending is so easy with this, because the cream is smooth. My shade 115 (offered on illamasqua's site) is the perfect (PERFECT) shade!
I will buy many more - plus it smells good!

I finally found a foundation that comes in the right shade! It seems to be very difficult to find a very light shade with a pink tone. I like that this brand describes what tone their shades are so that it is easier to purchase the correct product online.
This foundation has a nice texture and mine seems to have a very light vanilla scent.
The one thing I don't like about this foundation is that it is more oily than other foundations.

I usually use just moisturizer and mineral powder for my face. But with Winter stealing my tan and redness becoming a daily factor, I thought it was time to get some coverage. I took my time picking one, read reviews galore, and decided to give this a try. So glad I did! It gives you an airbrushed look, and the colors seem to match well. I would suggest always usuing a primer if you are my age, so that it has an even smoother application. I know you are not supposed to sleep in your make-up, but I have to say that even the next day it still looked good and did not look cakey or create lines.

After trying tons of foundations, this is the only one which I find gives me the most beautiful coverage. It gives my skin a healthy warm appearance. My blemishes scars are toally undetectable. The only downside is that if you have oily skin like myself, it is necessary to touch-up more than once.

The range of shades here is great, and I found one that was perfect for my very light, yellow-undertoned skin. However, the consistency of this foundation is poor. It started off OK, but as I used it, it seemed to dry out and become more pasty in the container. It was also hard to blend/spread on my face.

I loved the foundation it is quick and easy to use form the compact and it feels nice on my skin but cf135 is way to dark and I can't wear the pink colors.
Sephora please carry cf115. Ordering from Europe is out of the question considering shipping.

Quick Take: light-weight
I found the consistency to be very lightweight especially considering the full coverage that it offered. Please note: I do not have many marks/discolorations but there are enough to benefit from foundation. The reason that I did not give 5 stars is because the color was a bit orange (think pumpkin pie) like most foundations intended for my skin tone are.

I absolutely adore this cream foundation! It has great coverage and even though the 120 was a bit too pink for my pale skin, I just loved it.
I literal felt like a porcelain doll. Its luminous and gorgeous on the skin. My only real issue with it, the only thing from keeping me from repurchasing it, is that it has castor oil in it and after everyday use caused my skin to breakout.
Now if your skin can stand oils I would say totally get this, its wonderful. But if you are like me an your skin is combination (even combo/dry - which mine is) and doesn't tolerate any extra oil or moisture don't get this.
Well, I'm off to try the liquid foundations by Illamasqua now. Wish me luck!
Oh and the cream compact was super easy to apply! Easiest foundation I have ever had! Complete coverage too!

This first goes on wierd.. Don't use the applicator that comes with it. A brush is best. It covers great when you layer it. I use about two coats to cover nose veins and spots but 1 coat covers with a great even texture.

I wanted to like this foundation, but it didn't work for me. It didn't cover my redness from rosacea completely. I also found it a little drying. The color was great though. I'll use it on days that I'm not working.
