Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Cream

What it is:An advanced age-delay eye treatment proven to significantly hydrate the eye area and visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. What it is formulated to do:Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Cream with advanced antioxidants is proven to nourish the eye area and visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Black tea ferment, also known as Kombucha, is an advanced antioxidant that helps to defend against wrinkle-causing free radicals while softening, smoothing, and enhancing luster. The formula is further enriched with lychee seed extract, known to support natural collagen, firming polysaccharides which help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, and an active complex of peptides and antioxidants that helps to reduce puffiness. What else you need to know:“After first trying Kombucha, a drink made with black tea ferment, I noticed an instant boost in my energy levels and began researching the extract at once. Referred to as the “Immortal Health Elixir,” its history traces back to 250 BC. I found that just as it reenergized my body, black tea extract works to reenergize the skin’s cells.” Lev Glazman, Fresh Co-founder Research results:Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Cream is clinically demonstrated to: - Maintain optimal moisture levels for up to 24 hours after initial application - Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles up to 36% - Increase skin hydration up to 79% - Increase skin smoothness up to 35% After an independent consumer testing panel used Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Cream: - 100% said it immediately nourished and soothed the eye area - 81% said it immediately reduced the visible appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and illuminated the eye area

Wasn't impressed
-05.07.13
Quite expensive for a product that didn't live up to the hype. I was looking for a product that could help reduce under eye puffiness and hydrate the area. Used it for about a week and didn't notice any visible improvements. Tried a couple others and so far, the one that works for me is the one by Caudalie.

Do Not Buy

Quick Take: dehydrating
I am always on the search for good under eye cream for fine lines. I have tried everything and have never really been disappointed until now. This product actually brought out fine lines under my eyes - I was shocked! It completely dehydrated my skin and made my eyes look like I've been partying in Vegas for 6 months straight.

This eye cream makes the skin around my eyes so soft and moisturized, and I have definitely seen a softening of the "laugh"lines. :) I first tried this as a sample at Sephora, and have just purchased it for a second time. I plan to keep it in my beauty regimen!

Great Eye Cream
-04.06.13
Quick Take: fresh black tea age-delay cream
This eye cream hydrates well and stays in place. Not greasy and after 4 weeks of use, I do see a difference in the hydration of the area under my eyes. I would recommend this eye cream for others who have tried to increase hydration under the eyes.

High price, low performance.
-04.02.13
My complaint with other eye creams I've used is that they didn't deliver enough moisture and didn't help with dark circles and getting rid of puffiness. A sales associate highly recommended this eye cream, and I have to say that even after 2 days using it, I'm just not happy with it for the retail price. This cream works exactly the same as the $13 basic hyaluronic acid eye cream I've been using! High price, not much in the way of performance.

It Works!
-03.26.13
Quick Take: hydrating, reduces puffiness
I have very sensitive skin and must be careful when using products however did not have any reaction to this cream. I tried a sample Sephora had given to me and noticed fairly quickly that the puffiness under my eyes were gone. The skin looked smoother and more taut. I think it has given me a more youthful appearance.

Results after almost 3 weeks were disappointing
-03.09.13
I did not mind investing in an eye cream of this nature, especially if delivered and went along way. I noticed no significant changes in my eye, nor did the person I periodically checked in with to see if they noticed a difference. I still had puffiness and dryness. The professional at Sephora told me I should see positive results after about a week and that was not the case. It was kinda sad. I just go back from returning it to Sephora and purchasing Photo Dynamic Therapy Liquid Red Light Eye Lift Lotion. We shall see how this one goes...

Very lightweight, I can see a difference every morning when I look in the mirror. My eyes look brighter and the skin around my eyes is tighter and firmer.

Disappointed
-01.30.13
Quick Take: too expensive with no results
This eye cream did nothing for my eye area. The price is quite high for not seeing immediate results too. I switched to a brand called Arcona, which unfortunately isn't sold at Sephora, but that stuff works!

Quick Take: hydrating, absorbs quickly
Have used other eye creams from not good to overly strong. I really like this eye cream. Have not had any irritation from it. Started using it after my last cream was so strong and actually made my eyes look more tight and lined. Use this AM and PM. And will continue using it.

So far I am pretty happy with this eye cream. I'm 42 with very crepey skin around my eyes, I have heavy lids and always have my whole life, genetics I guess! In any event this cream is a nice consistency and seems to help with my dark circles.

Nothing special
-01.18.13
I received this as a sample and used it in the evening just on my undereye area. I did have a mild stinging sensation the first night but nothing thereafter. However, each morning I used it I woke up with puffy under eyes which is not normal. Fine lines and dark circles are the norm for me but puffiness is not. I liked the consistency but I didn't like my skin's reaction to the product and once the puffiness went away, I was always back to slightly dry under eyes with fine lines and dark circles. Too bad because I do love Fresh's lip balms and think they are great when it comes to hydration!

hydrating
-01.06.13
Quick Take: hydrating, brightening, absorbs quickly
In the winter months I have dry eyes. I received this as a sample and really like the texture of it. I waited until I had collected a few packets to see if it would really work and also so that I could use it for weeks rather than just a couple of days. It has a light, pleasing cucumber scent. It is very hydrating. It does seem to brighten my eyes. It seems to fill in any fine lines or I guess a better word is crepeiness like when your skin under the eyes is really dry. I am still young enough so that I don't have wrinkles yet but would like to be proactive in preventing them. Overall, I would def buy for the winter months. I think in the summers, it would be too dense unless you live in a dry climate. It definitely absorbs very quickly and doesn't feel cloying.

Greasy, burns my skin, not moisturizing enough
-12.18.12
Quick Take: greasy
Tried a sample and was really unimpressed. It had a mild burning sensation and wasn't moisturizing enough. I might have been allergic to something in it. It also left behind a sticky residue and greasy shine.

Noticeably good
-12.05.12
Quick Take: absorbs quickly
I wouldn't say it smells like pickles, as other reviewers claim. There's no dill and definitely no vinegar. It's more like dark green cucumbers fresh from the garden, and maybe strong, plain black tea. It's crisp, not soft and sweet.
I've always had dark shadows under my eyes, made more noticeable because of my very fair, thin skin. I used a sample of the Fresh Black Tea eye cream during a travel weekend, and even though I'm a doubter, I couldn't help but notice that even my lifelong shadows seemed to fade, my eyelids felt smoother and firmer, and my eye makeup went on more prettily.
I bought the full tube. (And I'm taking away a star because of the price I had to pay!) I continue to be pleased. I'd say my undereye shadows are reduced by 40-50%. Early fine lines and slight crepeyness seem to smooth out a bit. I'm using less concealer underneath with better results, and shadow and liner look more smooth and professional. The cream does tingle for a few seconds; I assume this is because of the various skin-tightening and capillary-squeezing ingredients.

Quick Take: light
I did not see any positive results from using this eye cream. I am used to the creamy and hydrating formula by Fresh called Creme Ancienne Eye Cream. I was out of my usual, and looking for a new, less expensive one to try vs. the ancienne which does cost a pretty penny! I had hoped this one would make my eye area feel more hydrated, and lessen the look of fine lines. Instead I felt like I needed to reapply to get more moisturization. I did not notice anything claimed by this product. Too bad...I was hoping I found a new eye cream which was more affordable than my usual, and it is from a brand I trust. Fresh is awesome!! I thought the "black tea" would help morning puffiness and I was hoping ot soften fine lines. It was not strong enough fo rmy 40 yo under-eye region, but I know some love this product. I will say, it was not greasy which is always a good thing near the eye area. ALso, it did not burn or sting which is wonderful, too since I have sensitive, delicate skin under my eyes due to medication. It didn't aggravate my skin, but it didn't hydrate either.
