Quick Take: water resistant, opaque coverage, fast-drying
The tattoo designs are cool and they last well, but they have nothing to do with the TEMPTU system. I thought I would be airbrushing the tattoos on, but it is a traditional application similar to any other temporary tattoos. Had I read the description more carefully I would have known this! Still a cool kit, but different than I expected.

rubs off very easily- 03.15.10
i tried one out on my arm and within one hour it was completly gone! I took it back to the store and got a refund the next day. They are awesome designs, but i think i'll just get a real one instead.

I just loved these! We got them as a gift & had the best time w/ them! They don't necessarily look "real" but they don't look like the cheapy fake ones either! We wil def be buying some more! P.S. Don't spray w/ perfume or put lotion on over them, they smear &/or fade faster

PERFECT FIRST EXPERIENCE - GREAT FOR COSTUME PARTY- 01.19.10

My friend and I are getting our Mardi Gras costumes ready and she suggested we add temporary tattoos to our costumes. I've never had a tattoo, be it permanent or temporary, but anything goes at this party, so I tentatively agreed since she already had the tattoo kit. Since I have no experience with tattoos, I have nothing to base my experiences on, other than to say that these tattoos are idiot proof. The tattoo can be cut apart and hesitant me only chose to use a small portion of one. These things appear to be awesome. They're easy to use, and they look like the real thing.
Our practice session went perfectly,and so far the tattoo is staying on. Next time, I'm going to a bigger portion. I might even try "coloring" inside the tattoo for effect with some sort of markers. This is, after all, the Mardi Gras and anything goes....
The directions are simple. First you moisten and clean your skin with the application pad provided in the kit. While our skin was still moist, we applied the tattoo at our ankles. (You can do it anywhere you choose, of course). Then, we pressed with the application pad until the design became visible. Next we patted with our fingers and pressed firmly with the application pad. You can repeat that step again until the tattoo completely transfers from paper to skin. It transferred quickly. The tattoo paper is then removed. We waited about thirty seconds for it to dry, and then set it with the setting powder. Simple.
The tattoo is supposed to stay for up to five days, and it's been on for a couple already. There are simple to directions to care for the tattoo and to keep it on. When ready to remove it, all we have to do is either use the application pads or use baby oil or 70% isopropyl alcohol. The tattoos are waterproof.
These temporary tattoos are wonderful for medical reasons, as well. Many people are unaware that some permanent tattoos may disqualify some medical patients from having MRI's because some inks have metal pigments in them, making certain procedures unsafe. In addition, the placement of certain permanent tattoos in the spinal area may limit people from certain procedures. As a medical professional, I can tell you that tattoos over certain areas on the lower spinal column may limit your ability to have (depending on extent of the tattoo) or compromise placement of epidural and spinal anesthesias as not all anesthesiologists will work in an area where there is a tattoo for fear of introducing tattoo ink into the spinal canal. Temporary tattoos are safe and effective and won't compromise your health or medical procedures.
I highly recommend these tattoos. They look real to me and mine has stayed on better than I expected it would.

These are just ink on tissue paper that you wet and rub with alcohol to transfer onto your skin. They don't look a bit like real tats to me.
