works well even for straight hair

i bought the sun shield spray because i was looking for a product with a UV filter & this was the most inexpensive one i found on sephora.com. i was a bit unsure as ouidad products are developed for curly hair and my hair is as straight as can be. this spray is great -- it doesn't weigh my hair down at all, smells good (as long as you like a sunscreen-type scent), and adds some nice texture.

here's a great product for you runners/walkers out there...I usually wear a baseball cap when out walking - which leaves my long ponytail hanging out for the sun to wreak havoc on! This spray is great...easy to just give a quick spray on, and leaves my ends feeling conditioned, too! And it smells terrific - very fresh & clean (unlike me after my walk!) love it!

Not Just for Sun and Sport

This stuff works and I love it. It does have that sunscreen smell, as I've seen others mention, but I happen to really enjoy that smell because it evokes summertime memories of sun and sand. This works very well with my flat-on-top, wavy-underneath hair and makes everything bouncy and full of life. THis is ABSOLUTELY worth the price. A+++!

LOVE THIS PRODUCT. If used right, it brings out your natural curls. It also, keeps your hair from drying out, which comes in handy when you move residence to Hawaii. I highly recommend this.

After going on vacation in central America and worrying about my hair getting too light while I was in the sun this product really helped. My hair didn't fade at all! The only complaint is that you can tell there's something in your hair when you spray it in. Overall a great product that really does what it is meant to do

i bought this for my trip to cancun and it did wonders!! i have naturally very curly hair and the whole time i was in cancun i only had to use a tiny bit of moroccan oil and this... it was great, so light weight but it smells great and made my hair soooo soft even after all thepool and beach hopping, def a must have

Perfect for Lifeguards

If you work as an outdoor lifeguard or an indoor lifeguard this product is made for us! At the end of a summer, after being in chlorine and sun all day 5 days a week, my hair is usually dead and matted. This year I bought the Ouidad Sun Shield Sun & Sport Leave-In Spray and I sprayed my hair before and after my shifts. At the end of the summer I barely had any split ends and my hair was still combable! I love this stuff and definitely reccomend it to anyone and everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this product a couple of weeks ago and was so delighted in the texture, smell, and effectiveness to ward off the sun's damaging rays! Truly -- it was terrific AND it wasn't sticky as are some other hair sprays for this purpose. Thank you for not only carrying this great product BUT also for recommending it.

I used this on my relaxed hair when i wear it naturally curly. It sprays on, but it feels like you're spraying water on yoyr hair. Doesn't have a scent or any moisture to it. I use it on my semi dry/dry hair after the Quidad Leave - In Conditioner before i head to the pool or beach. Does not weigh hair down nor leave it feeling dry

Love this product! My hair looked fabulous even after swimming in the ocean. I have wavy hair which tends to get frizzy after any contact with moisture. Ouidad made my hair feel soft, light and smooth.

Okay for protecting the scalp

I bought this in hopes that it would prevent my fair scalp from burning in the sun on vacation. For the most part it worked, except for one of the days when I was burned everywhere despite the heavy use of sunscreen. It does make your hair sort of greasy/residue feeling though. While it didn't look too terrible, it felt gross to the touch and my hair was not it's nicest while I was on vacation. With my fair skin I figured it was worth it to protect my scalp though.

After going to the pool a few times at the beginning of the summer, I noticed how dried out my hair had gotten from the sun and chlorine. I have thick, dry, dark brown hair. Since using this product, I can really tell a difference. Not only does it leave my hair soft for the rest of the day, but it helps to protect the ends so I don't have to get a hair cut as often. Smells great too!!

i haven't seen any improvement in my hair, nor do i have curly hair. i bought it mainly for the sun protection. it may be improving my hair, but i didnt notice anything spectacular. it also smells like watered down sunscreen. definitely will not be buying again.

I have colored my hair regularly for the past 10 years. They summer has always been a challenge as I love to be outside, but hate to fade my medium brown hair to very light brown. With the Ouidad, I have seen less color fade.

I wanted some kind of leave-in that would take care of my dry ends between washes, without making it heavy/greasy . I did not feel anything different just after applying, but did notice my hair smoother and nicer throughout the day. I will buy it again.
