Quick Take: fabulous, no frizz, highly recommend
I have naturally curly hair; mix of ringlet curls and waves and have been using this pomade since 1996. I LOVE it!! Curls are shiny and soft with NO FRIZZ! Highly recommend it for anyone with curly hair

It was the best way to add shine after all the other Ouidad products I was prescribed after my Ouidad hair cut but in the end the system just didn't work for my curls. The application process would sometimes cause my curls to break apart and thus frizz. I instead have found another brand perfect for my extremely latin curly hair.

This product works great on my daughter's tight curls. After putting in the leave-in conditioner, the pomade was easy to put in her air and controlled her frizzy hairs. it even gave more definition to her curls, given it a gel wet look but without the crunchy feel or look.

this pomade is quite good....the problem is the packaging....when it comes to the end, it is difficult to get all of it out of the tube. For the price they charge, I hate to waste it. I already e mailed ouidad to suggest different packaging.....but they never responded. Their customer service needs improvement and for that I gave them 3 stars

Sorry, but I returned this one. Love Ouidad, but this one is just not for me. I did follow the prescriptive routine, but my hair was left with no noticeable manageability or shine, and honestly, even a small amount made my curls weighed down (not calmed/de-frizzed). I still use the shampoo/conditioner and gel...

Quick Take: clearly
I use this pomade on my hair and my niece's to control our naturally curly frizzy hair. This gel provides a glossy texture to the hair and control over the frizz. Great product for multi ethnic curly hair.

Life saver for curly girls

Quick Take: easy to use
Was introduced to the Ouidad product by a friend of mine who has very curly hair. The entire line works well; this particular product is exceptional. I have never used a product that de-frizzed my curls like this. You need to use a very small amount (dime-size at most). Spread across your hands, then pull your hair back with your hands as if making a ponytail. Don't get too close to roots because they will look greasy. You can then use the pomade to smooth out individual curls too. I use several times a day on bad hair days to keep the frizz in check!

Love this product in the winter. It makes my hair look less dry, tames the frizz and softens the crunch of Ouidad's Climate Control. I have very, very thick, coarse, curly hair. This is a heavy product, but my hair can handle it. Doesn't work well for me in the summer, but nothing else does either. fyi - to get the last drops out of the tube I add a little water.

Anyone who writes a poor review of this product, I feel is most liking using it incorrectly. It's seriously transformed my long, thick, curly hair! I use it last in my " rake and shake" styling routine as directed in the Ouidad training videos at their site for product usage.
It's awesome and defines, de-frizzes, and adds shine.. This is not a product for major "hold". You will have defined and shiny, gorgeous curls when used correctly! I love it and can't live without it . I actually mix some of the pomade with their shine serum and if I don't finish my hair with it , there is a visible difference and my hair style doesn't feel complete without it.

Love this stuff. As a last finish before you walk out the door it takes out any crunchies left by your gel, adds shine and tames stubborn frizzies. Just use more than about a pea size amount, and do the ends first. It is oilier than most pomades rather than waxy, and you don't want to look like a used car salesman.

I've tried several pomades and I find this to be my favorite. My curly hair is dry so a pomade makes it shine a bit and takes away the crunch from styling products. I gave it 3 stars because the packaging is not the best...when you come to the end, a lot gets wasted because its in a tube, and not cheap. I actually suggested to ouidad to review the packaging but they never answered my email .

This product was recommended for my curls and I gotta say I'm disappointed. I do not use strictly Ouidad products across the board for my curls so maybe that's the reason for the lackluster performance. I find this pomade to be a bit sticky but mostly it does not smooth, hold or define my curls. And there is a description on the tube that's not in the website description for this products that talks specifically about holding curl at the end of pony tails. So maybe this is for straighter hair with curls at the end? Either way, I'm not a fan and cannot say that the product did what it claimed to do. It did not calm frizz and it did not hold or define my curls. Sorry Ouidad, I normally love your products.

Quick Take: easy to use
Works well for me after styling with the Heat & Humidity Gel and my diffuser. Just a little adds extra frizz protection & an easy way to define curls to finish my look. It is a thicker product so just a little goes a long way.
