i hope this set isn't going to be limited edition because its such a great value. the small ones are good for the purse or travelling. i usually use the classic diorshow & its my first time trying iconic & it didnt disappoint ! theyre all great. i have the set of like 8 different mascaras (from benefit, etc ), and i must say dior tops EVERY mascara i've ever used.

diorshow was the best in the sample but not black enough or heavy enough for me. So i tried layering the blackout over it, but found it clumpy. Not a fan of the ionic, probably because I don't like the rubber comb-like bristles. I returned it.

I don't mind spending more on nice products, but I'm a frugal shopper when it comes to picking out which makeup products I purchase. I like making sure that I find the right basics, and I'm so glad I decided on this! It's a great deal--just a few dollars more than the price of a regular-sized mascara but you get to try out three of them! Iconic is my favorite and I'm glad it's the full-sized one of the three. I have short, Asian lashes and it definitely gives me longer, dramatic lashes with a slight curl. Show isn't as dramatic but gives nicely separated lashes and makes for a good every day mascara. Blackout wasn't as dramatic as I thought it would be, kind of clumpy and not as impressive as Iconic.

This is the perfect set of mascara. Iconic is lengthening, curling, and defining. I use it as sort of a "primer" under DiorShow and Blackout. Dior mascara is amazing -- always gives me the look of false lashes but without all the fuss!

I love this set! Before purchasing this set, I'd only tried the classic Diorshow, but had been wondering about both Blackout and Iconic. This set let me try both of those and test all three mascaras side by side so I could really see the effect each gives me, for not much more money than if I'd bought only one of the mascaras. (yes, the Blackout and Diorshow are trial sizes, but they are generous trial sizes and will last me a while). I discovered that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Iconic mascara. In fact, I have been dead set against spending $24 on a darn mascara for years now, but I will probably be buying it again when I run out... it really is that good. My lashes are on the longer side of average, and they are naturally curly, but they're not really pigmented, so mascara is a must... but when I wear the Iconic, I get crazy length, curl, and thickness; my lashes touch my eyebrows (no joke) and I'm always asked if I'm wearing falsies. Nope... just Iconic!!!!

I am one of those unfortunates that was born with short, straight, blond eyelashes. I have considered lash extensions, but think they might be a last resort option. Typically the DiorShow mascara and DiorShow Black Out mascara brushes are too thick for my lashes and I end up with more on my top lid than anywhere else! But, the sales lady at Sephora convinced me to try the Iconic mascara, as the brush is smaller. WOW! This mascara is wonderful. I can actually see my short, stubby, straight, blonde eyelashes! Something about the brush or the formula works to separate and actually curl my lashes. It wears a long time, and doesn't smudge. I have contacts and have no problems there either. I love this mascara and have told all my friends about it.

I adore the iconic mascara. It makes my lash long but not flacky, way much better than YSL ones. This set comes with two samples so it's great value. Diorshow is not my cup of tea because it smudges easily a few hours after application. Black-out is a bit flaky on my lash. But overall I like this set!

My lashes are hardly noticeable usually, but with Iconic make them incredibly long and keeps my curl as well. DiorShow was the first mascara I've ever worn and it is still one of my favorites. This is a pretty good deal, considering you are getting a full size plus two half-size tubes.

I've tried 2 of these mascaras (Diorshow and Diorshow Iconic), and found them to be pretty average in terms of performance. On the plus side, they're easy to apply and don't smudge or flake. On the downside, they did little to enhance my lashes - added little in terms of fullness or length. As I usually do after trying a new (to me) mascara, I went right back to Lancome Definicils. That said, this is a great deal for anyone looking to try Dior mascara.

Great Intro to DIOR, Best of High End Mascaras- 10.28.09
Girls, don't waste your money on other luxe high end mascaras. Dior has the best quality of ultra-luxe mascaras, and this is a great way to introduce yourself to them. I used to be a Chanel girl until the Chanel girls told me about Dior. I'm also a sucker for packaging, but that's not pertinent here.
Iconic is an exceedingly WET mascara, wetter than the other wet mascaras they put out. WET is a good thing, as long as you know how to apply it properly.
First, start with super clean lashes. They should feel soft, pliable... completely devoid of any product. I use Lancome Cils Boost as a primer, with a quick swipe on my upper lashes, then move in with Iconic. I never, ever start at the base with Iconic; I start a little bit after, to give an eye-opening effect, then wiggle the wand up, out and curl it slightly. It takes a little practice, but once you get the hang of it (usually after 2 tries), it's no different than applying any other mascare. Wiggle, lift, you're done. But then go back in and lift out the tips of your lashes - this is when I lean into the mirror, bite my lip and really get into the teeny tiny lashes in the corners and center.
Iconic gives me curl, length and volume without that awful, ugly spider effect. I stopped using a lash curler after I discovered Iconic because it works so well.
DiorShow and DiorShow Black Out add glam and more intense color. I use Black Out daily because my lashes are wimpy and lame and although I need to keep a neutral, professional appearance, they are tame enough to work. It's also a lazy way to emphasize eyes without adding shadow.
The deluxe samples are generously sized, and should give you some serious mileage in wearability. If you've never tried all 3 before, this is a great opportunity to check them out and see which you like best. I love to play with different products and compare them against each other. I think all three are keepers, and provide slightly, subtle different effects.
For the price of one mascara plus $2 more, you get 3 tubes that'll last you ages. And finally, do not pump the tubes - lift and swirl as you lift the wand out and you'll keep the air out and the product fresh. That simple movement will extend the life of your mascara and keep you from drying out the tubes.
Oh, and about smudging - if you apply after everything else is done, and then give Dior a minute to dry before you blink, you'll be fine. Just don't touch your eyes. You shouldn't anyway. :)
