I wanted to love this, but I just couldn't. I had nothing but issues with it- flaking, namely. It's supposed to be a lengthening mascara- it did absolutely nothing for me. I love most NARS products, so I was really disappointed by this product.

Quick Take: dry & brittle, ineffective/nothing on the brush, waste of money
I tried this because I read that all of NARS is wheat free & I have allergies....the worst mascara ever....dry.....colorless....seemed like it was old so I returned it within a week. Imagine my surprise when the salesperson said they were all like that!!

Mascara is the one makeup item that always needs to be in my makeup bag. I have tried many different brands, and formulations, so it's safe to say that I have some experience.
I have been dubbed a mascara snob (although, I call it having standards... Same difference, I guess). I received this in a gift basket that my cousin made for me as a Christmas present (made entirely of Sephora products).
I like this mascara, a lot. My go-to mascara for defining/lengthening is Lancome's Definicils, and this is up with that one, in my opinion. It lengthens, seperates the lashes beautifully, and doesn't clump or flake (unfortunately I can't say the same about it's sister; Volumizer).
Overall, this is a very nice mascara, and I will definitely repurchase!

A mascara that doesn't weigh your lashes down but holds them up all day! Long beautiful lashes without the tarantula eye effect. Minimal smudge under bottom lashes after a 12 hour day. Well worth the investment FINALLY! Cheers!

Quick Take: defining, lengthening
I've worn all the high end Mascaras and this one looks and feels wonderful. I have to wear contact and it doesn't flake. Washing off is very easy, not all that going over and over to remove it. This is my first review I've left because I love it so much. If your on the fence about buying this , you won't be disappointed.

This mascara delivers the promised results. It does lengthen, and doesn't look too goopy, even with multiple coats. It does take a little practice to get the techinque right, but once I allowed each coat to dry completely before applying more, it definitely does make my lashes look longer. I read that it's impossible to get off; while I would agree it doesn't come off easily, that's a good thing, and I get 90% of it off with Sephora eye makeup remover pads. Would buy again!

Applies itself to eyelashes very well and have not had an issue with clumping with a 3 month period of use so far.
Does not come off all that well, even when using make up remover; I can still sometimes have 'panda eyes' the following day even though the make up remover pads appear to not be able to remove anymore mascara.
Long lasting and does not smudge onto eye lids or underneath eyes during wear.

This mascara is not labeled as waterproof, but is more water-resistant/cry-proof than any other mascara that I have ever tried!! (It is the only mascara that has stood the test of psychotherapy--LOL)

This has become my go-to mascara. After years of searching I think this is the perfect mascara. The best part is, I can add a couple extra coats to take my makeup from day to night. It's relatively water/smudge-proof, it doesn't flake, and it's easy to take off.

The brush: Bristles are stiff and long enough to penetrate my lashes at the base.
The formula: Clumps a tad more than I would like, but I use a metal eyelash comb immediately after each application to solve this problem. A second coat briefly after initial one looks fabulous.
Lengthening claims: YES.
Stay power: Ummm, I'm pretty sure it's permanent. During a recent travel it stayed root-to-tip for 33+ hours. The tips of my lashes were still completely covered over a day later! I was amazed.
Cons: Like every other reviewer, I have difficulty taking this off, so I pretty much only wear it if I'm going to have a long day. I read the reviews and brought my tools ahead of time- a mixture of vitamin e and olive oil. Let the lashes soak in some warm water then gently massage with oil.
The hassle of removal and the slight clumping were the reasons for my downgrade to 4 stars.

i love love love this mascara. i have tried so many mascaras and this is definitely at the top of my list. the first day i tried it i got so many compliments. my parents and bf thought i put false lashes on. my lashes are naturally thick so im always looking for lengthening mascara. i wouldve given it 4.5 stars but it wouldnt let me. The reason id give it 4.5 stars is because it is hard to remove. after id wash my face id notice it would still be on so i began to wonder if it was waterproof and i looked online and it didnt day anything about it being waterproof or water resistent when it should. but all and all i would def recommend this. just remember to get an eye makeup remover.

This mascara works great. Like similar reviews I just read, it is OUTRAGEOUsLY hard to remove!!! It stays on for weeks. It has to be somewhat waterproof which is something they should put on the label. I tried everything I had makeup remover wipes ect. Finally I tried extra virgin olive oil and BAM it was gone after a few minutes of rubbing my eyes with that.

I've been looking for the right mascara for years and I've finally found it. I've tried drug store brands and designer brands over the years and I still had not found something I wanted to buy again. This is it. It lengthens lashes with one coat better than others have done with three! If you want more volume that can be achieved with a second or third application. But, a single coat is perfect for work. For evening wear I just put a little more on top of what I already have - and there aren't any flakes! This is great. Just great.

I love NARS products, but found myself truly disappointed when it came time to take off this product. I tried EVERYTHING: washclothes, eye makeup remover, soap and this thing REFUSE to come off. It took about 3 days for all it to come off. When I tried again, 4 days later, I put primer FIRST on my lashes. It helped out with the clumping but it still took 2 days for it all to come off. I DO NOT recommend this product for everyday use, maybe if you are on vacation, then this is the product for you!
