Hair Milk is Mmmmm Good!
- 10.29.09
Quick Take: good value
I really enjoyed these products. The shampoo and conditioner smell nice and moisturize the hair. I really like the hair milk. On youtube there is a video of how to use it to stretch your hair to wear it natural. The Kizzy pomade is good for your edges if you have natural hair. It will give it a nice shine, but it is not like gel or beeswax. This kit was definitely worth the money!

Very Good Value

What you get for the price is awesome. However, it worked wonders on my hair but I saw no difference in my 15 & 13 year old daughters. But--can't beat the value.

Must Have Hair Essentials
- 10.19.09
Quick Take: excellent, no need to look any further
OMG, I'm shock it took me so long to find out about this product. I have purchased every thing under the sun, and believe me, being 53 years old, I have puchased a lot of produce. This is the BEST I have ever came across. I can believe after a week, you can still smell the product in your hair, and the way it makes your hair feel is unbelievable! I purchased 2 of this set, gave my daughter one and I kept one. This is one thing I should have kept all for myself. Sorry they ran out of this package, it was so affordable. I hope they bring this package back for the holidays because I am going to buy at least 20 sets (provided they are the same price). I turned my friends and hairdresser on to this product. Ms. Carol, you are a baddddddd girl!!!!

Love it
- 10.19.09
Quick Take: good value
Carol's Daughter is just about all I use on my 2 year old Locs. I'd used all these products before, except for the pomade - which I found a bit too heavy for my hair. I'll stick to Carol's Daughter Loc Butter for twisting. The pomade has an intoxicating smell. Dear BF who has huge juicy curls loves this pomade, and even the sweet smell. (and Horaay! I still get to smell it - on HIM)
The shampoo is great - smells good, gets my hair nice and clean, without stripping moisture or leaving residue.
My only complaint about hair milk is that it does not come in a gallon-sized bottle, It's amazing for all hair types and light enough to use during the week as a daily conditioner.
Because locs are prone to residue and build up - I limit myself to one heat-enhanced deep conditioning with the hair smoothie every other month.
I'm accustomed to paying $12 - 18 for each of these products separately, so I'll definitley be buying another set because it's such a good value.

Wonderful Products
- 10.18.09
Quick Take: good value, the value of this set is excellent.
I have finally found hair care products that provide superior moisture without leaving my hair feeling oily. The "Kizzi" pomade really helps control the frizz and works well if you flat iron your hair. A little goes a long way and it smells good too.

I loved every single product in the pouch (including the pouch!). Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla line is awesome. Not only do they smell great they work wonders on my hair. The shampoo is thick and creamy and works into a great lather. The smoothie conditioner is a wonderful follow-up and the milk makes my curls pop! I love it all and will be repeating this purchase when I run low.

Good Stuff
- 10.09.09
Quick Take: good value
I love the smell of the products..The shampoo and conditioner have a nice light fragrance. Its not overwhelming. The hair milk adds great shine to the hair. Kizzy's hair pomade smells the best (caution you only need a little). These products make my hair look and feel great. It has shine and body. To get al these products together for $35, it was a good deal. The burlap bag they came in is cute but I don't know what to do with it yet.

Essentially Terrific
- 10.03.09
Quick Take: fabulous
I went into the store looking for Hair Milk when I found the Must-Have Hair Essentials. I was initially surprised because I had not seen this package advertised in the past. I later realized this was a package exclusive to the store. I was thrilled with the value - 4 wonderful hair care products-Shampoo, Conditioner, the Hair Milk & Pomade all in burlap bag. All of the products are terrific and the price was right!!!

a MUST HAVE!
- 10.02.09
I am a black female with natural hair and I must say that this product is great. I could see the difference in one use. The shampoo and conditioner went directly to my hair roots which gave hair a softer silker feeling. I also gave shine that jus didn't sit on top of the hair. I will continue to use this product and I recommend it to anyone. Great!!!!!!

Nice set, but nothing to rant and rave about
- 10.02.09
I would actually give this set a 3.5 out of 5, but only whole numbers are allowed...I was eager when I received this set to try it out. I've used the items several times now. I'll now rate each item individually:
Black Vanilla Herbal Shampoo: I didn't expect this item to lather much as I know it doesn't contain sulfates. The scent was a bit more medicinal than I expected; but it worked fine and my hair felt clean after using this shampoo. I give this item 3 out of 5 stars.
Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie: This was used sparingly as the container is somewhat small. I loved how soft this conditioner made my hair feel; I left it on for about 20 mins. with a plastic cap and then rinsed it out. As a result, my hair was moisturized, but not greasy. The smell of the "smoothie" was pleasant, and could even be stronger. I give this item 5 out of 5 stars.
Hair Milk: This item has a strong lemon smell--similar to Lemon Pledge. Fortunately, I used this under my setting product. My setting creme has a likable scent which over-powered the lemon smell. The hair milk did moisturize my hair well but I wouldn't recommend using more than a nickel sized amount. I give this product a 2 out of 5 (only b/c the fragrance is too intense)
Kizzi Stay Put Pomade: The pomade didn't make my hair lay down at all, but I give it 3 out of 5 stars because it has a citrus smell which I like. It moisturized but didn't have any hold whatsoever.
BTW, I'm a black woman who's transitioning to natural hair...
Overall, this set worked fine, but it's nothing to rant and rave about. I would never pay full price for these products b/c they are overpriced--I'm so glad I found out about this discount set.
Hopefully this review helps!

So Far So Good.....
- 10.01.09
Ive been using the Hair Milk for awhile and loved it...When out on a limb and brought the whole kit. I adore the ingredients, the smell but not so much the price. The hair smoothie worked better after leaving it on overnight and using alot of it. But I do relax my hair myself and dryness is the enemy.....after using it my hair was much stronger and less brittle. Im gonna give it a six month trlal run and see what happens.

Quick Take: would only buy the smoothie again
Like the shampoo- doesn't lather well but most organics don't. The hair milk leaves my hair very greasy so I cannot use it at all but I LOVE the hair smoothie- leaves my hair silky and shiny!

Hair milk
- 09.29.09
Quick Take: good value
I absolutely love this! I have very fine hair and this is the first product in a long time that has just the right amount of oil without being too heavy. Unfortunately, the Kizzy pomade is not for me, but I will pass it along when I find someone who can use it. I will definitely be buying the shampoo, smoothie, and milk again!
