Beautiful sheer powder

My first Shiseido purchase besides being a long time fan of their eyelash curler. This is exactly what I was looking for. Absorbs shine without adding color. Love the powder puff that is included. Nice large size, will last a long time. I switched to this from Make Up Forever colorless powder due to the messiness of MUF. I used it with a brush and it seemed to get all over my counters. Much prefer the puff that comes with the Shiseido and it is a larger size.

I've been reading the reviews for this product for about a month. I've been vacillating on whether to try this or stick with what I've been using (Tarte Amazonian Clay Smooth Operator). I finally decided to spend the money and beat myself up later. Well, I LOVE this powder. I use the powder puff - I tried using brush, as some had suggested, but do not get the coverage I like. I pat the puff onto my face, I don't sweep. It is light, doesn't make me feel like I've put on an extra layer of makeup. It gives me the coverage and finish I've been trying to achieve for so long. My skin is sensitive and can be dry during the winter - but I live in Texas, no real harsh winter here. The second day I used this, I received compliments on how "luminous" my skin looked. Never had that happen before. You can use a light touch with, don't need much to go far. Thank goodness, because it is a little pricey. I don't get that -shine through- during the day. It does last me during my 15 hour workday. I will continue to buy this product, I love it!

Flawless Finish

This stuff is awesome. I use it to set my Bobbi Brown BB cream. It keeps my outta control Tzone at bay, and leaves me with such a flawless and soft focus finish, With no touch ups ALL DAY (8 hrs) I tried others, but i looked like a ghost, and i gotta touch up within 2-3hrs. It doesn't take very much, so don't sweat the $$. It will last you a while. Its worth it! You will look like onehotmutha ;)

I was a bit disappointed with this powder. The powder puff picked up too much powder and was a mess even the first time I used it. I got rid of it and use a brush. The powder made around my nose dry which showed up. The powder I was using previously never did that so I figure this powder has more of a drying effect. The good thing is, it stays with you and my face does not get shiny during the day which is good.

This powder makes your face look like you've been airbrushed. It smoothes everything out and gives your face a beautiful subtle glow. It also keeps my face oil free for a couple of hours which i'm happy with because by the time I get to work my face will be oily in certain areas but not when I use the translucent powder. Excellent product that doesn't disappoint.

I never go anywhere without this stuff anymore! Its melts into your skin and makes it feel so soft. This stuff really enhances your foundation and absorbs oil. The little puff that comes with it is luxourious and applies the product well. I work 12 to 14 hour days and this powder really keeps my skin looking flawless (I usually apply it twice a day) until I wash it off at night.

Quick Take: moisturizing, transparent
Love this powder!!! Not dry at all!!! I can put a lot on the face without my face getting dry through out the day. (I have dry skin and this is hard to not see my nose peeling if I'm using other brands.) It has a little bit shimmerings when ou look at the power closely but you won't see it at all after putting on your face. I like!!

This is by far one of the best translucent powders I have ever used & I've used several! It's very light weight & sheer. It still lets you come thru without that "powdered" look. I love the puff. I use it to pat the powder on, then use a large face brush to dust off the excess. Makes my face look flawless!

I really love this product -- it goes on smooth, weightless, and just wonderful, it really does "melt" into your skin (even when applying it as a finishing powder over foundation and concealer or when wearing by itself), and no matter what you are wearing it transforms your skin/product into the softest, silkiest, smoothest feeling skin ever.
One of the bb creams I use once and a while is a little sticky after applying, but when I put this over it my skin feels smooth and satiny.
And it is perfectly invisible, no matter what you're already rocking on your face.
I'm not joking -- sometimes I even re-apply later in the day just because I love the feel of this on my skin, and it never cakes up or looks weird. It just makes my skin glow and look beautiful.
Oh -- and I'm loving the little poof that comes with it. I didn't think I would, but it is so soft and lovely. I feel like a demure lady powdering my face with it.
The smell is also very subtle and pleasing.

I have very obvious pores and find that many loose powders will settle into them, resulting in an almost mini "polka dot" effect on my face.....not flattering to say the least. I have used MUFE HD but find it a bit drying (and it does not do well in flash photos either). I also used Chanel loose powder which is a good product. I alternate between different liquid foundations so I wanted a colorless powder that would not darken the foundation color. After researching, I decided to try this Shiseido powder. I love it! Use it very sparingly and blot on with the powder pull that comes with it to set your makeup. I actually use a powder brush to take off excess powder on the puff before applying; then I use the powder brush to dust off any excess left on my face. Voila! No more polka dots! Just a soft finish that lasts through the day. Given the high quality of this powder, the price is more than worth it!

I read the review and decided to give it a try. I don't often wear make up because of oil and the foundation/powder got canky. But Shiseido Translucent did not give any of those effects. In fact, it made my face look smoother. I wore it alone and my face looks naturally and pretty.

A really nice finely milled powder for the face. Never looks strangely white or cakey on me. A little goes a long way and I only mostly use it on my t-zone. It also comes with a really nice pouf (that I don't use). I would definitely repurchase this.

this is a very nice finishing powder, one of the best ones i've ever tried (and i have tried MANY). it's very fine and gives skin a flawless finish. do NOT apply with a heavy hand or else your skin will look white and washed out. the pouf that comes with it is also nice, i will definitely buy again.

I've been a Shiseido user for over 25 years. The first formulation of their Translucent Loose Poweder won year after year awards in Alllure Magazine for the best loose powder from professional artists. Then, boom! They discontinued it. Messed around with various styles since then but this is as close to the first as you can get. No matter what your skin type or color, it is perfect for everyone. BUY IT!

I use this along with their new foundation for oily skin and love it! It goes on sheer, blots the oils without looking cakey. I have purchased this a couple of times and will continue to do so!
