I have been searching for a lip primer that would keep my lipstick from fading and/or feathering. I have tried so many brands that failed. I'm so happy I bought this product...my lipstick lasts for hours & looks fresh. :)

I'm being nice giving it 2 stars, just because i love urban decay. This doesn't help keep the color from fading and feathering.
The only reason I put it on now is beucase of the SPF 15.

Quick Take: hydrating, matte balm
I find that this lip primer can also be used on top as a matte balm on top of matte or semi-matte lipstick or after blotting. It helps a little with leaving lipcolor on mugs which I can't stand--maybe that's why I like matte colors (they have less transfer). Using the primer as the first and last coats helps somewhat but don't expect it to be a sealant. I'm still hopeful for such an item someday.

Quick Take: durable
I recently went to a wedding reception and I wanted to wear this crazy bright pink lipstick. After cocktail hour, I found myself feeling ill and ended up getting sick in the bathroom. Not only did my lipstick stay in place, but I got compliments from the other women in the ladies room about how my lipstick had not moved. I will now be using this product for life.

Quick Take: hydrating
I have always struggled to find something that keeps my lipstick from feathering. I love super bright colors and it can look terrible. Not only did this solve that problem, but it really makes the lipstick go a long way.

Wonderful primer. I bought two very vibrant colors that would shift very easily so that half my lip looked darker then the other. Bought this primer, and it stopped that from happening. It doesn't really extend the life of the color, but it does keep it in place on the face and less of it comes off on things I eat. Highly recommend.

Quick Take: hydrating, long lasting
Never knew a lip primer existed as great as this one. It is hydrating and makes my lipstick last until I take it off at night. Wonder how I did without it. It has become a permanent part of my make-up regimen.

Quick Take: horrible, drying
I was very excited to try this primer when I purchased it. Sadly after the first time I used it, my lips started getting very dry and irritated. I thought it was just me and what I ate until I cleared my lips and tried it again. This time it made my lips very dry, irritated and have these ugly bumps that are itchy and if I scratch them the puss spreads and takes more place. I am very disappointed with this product and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

LOVE IT. The assistant recommended it when I said I would like to wear my red lipsticks again but haven't done so for so long because being a nasty smoker, the bleeding/feathering was bad. But now I can pout away! Love it Love it Love it.

i don't normally wear just lipgloss, i wear a color that doesn't fade, as in a stain. i don't think it really makes a difference using this. won't buy again. it feels good on the lips though. it would be nice if they decided to make this into a blush color.

I like this primer because it doesn't slip on the lips. I'm not sure why other primers feel more like lip balms vs. what primers are meant to do. This one does; it doesn't glide on super easy but easily enough to make the lipstick adhere. I have not found it to be drying on the lips.

I love the lip primer. It lasts throughout the day even after eating...just touch up the lip stick/stain or gloss. Be careful..the primer breaks easily at base. Had to re-order.

Quick Take: priming, mattifying
As a makeup artist, I am constantly on the watch for decent lip primers. I have tried literally hundreds (I've been in the business for 40 years). I always think, "Why can't anyone get this right?" Then I found Urban Decay's Lip Primer Potion. At last! And I love their packaging!
