Obsessed!- 11.23.09
Quick Take: reduces shine
I am completely in love with this powder. The other pressed powder I used previously appeared to stick to the little hairs on my face.... with this powder, it evens my skin tone and you can barely tell I'm wearing anything. I don't love the sponge it comes with, but I'm getting used to it and its worth it since the outcome is amazing.
I love this pressed mineral foundation! I've been using the loose mineral powder, and was so excited when I saw that LM came out with a mineral "pressed" powder. I actually e-mailed the company to recommend a "pressed" powder, and they did it!! This is great to have in your purse or to travel. It gives the same flawless and great coverage of the loose powder. I use "Classic Beige" (medium skintone), and I just love it. I am very impressed with this compact. Note: I find that using a brush works better than the sponge that's included. All you need is a very "small" amount on your brush (dab, don't swirl), and blend.

Return- 11.20.09
Quick Take: reduces shine
I've used and liked Laura Mercier for 3 years. Regrettably this pressed powder compact had already been used. The sponge was coated with powder. I returned the item and received a replacement.

Works... but like Bare Escentuals better- 11.10.09
I wanted to try this to see if it might be easier to use on the go. Bare Escentuals can get a bit messy, but the feel is much lighter and softer. I won't be purchasing this again.

Its a bit drying- 11.10.09
Quick Take: oil-absorbing, reduces shine, good coverage
The color is a perfect match. I thought it was a bit drying and better for summer weather. It accentuates wrinkles. I will keep it but i was hoping it was a bit creamier.

Love This!- 11.08.09
I am a convert; I've used BE for a long time, but I love love love this pressed mineral powder. First of all, it's much neater than the loose powder and the coverage is divine. This is layerable without being cakey. The shade choices are perfect. The finish is special; it goes from powdery to creamy in about 5 minutes.

Not a fan- 11.06.09
Quick Take: oil-absorbing, reduces shine
Was told by Sephora rep to get the lightest color. Living with it, but it is too light, even for me. It also feels drying and often leaves streaks all over my face, both during the first application and touch ups. Would NOT recommend, and I am normally a huge Laura fan.

Great Mineral Pressed Powder- 11.05.09
Quick Take: oil-absorbing, reduces shine, even coverage
I was very impressed with this mineral pressed powder. It does a great job of evenly covering my skin without feeling heavy. I have used Tarte and Bare Minerals in the past and I am most pleased with Laura Mercier.

Laura Mercier Powder- 10.31.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage, softens lines and makes skin look fresh!!
This is the best powder I have ever used. I am 47 and have tried a lot of well-known brands. This powder truly does what it claims to do. I love the way it softens my lines and makes my skin look younger and fresher. In fact, within a few days of beginning the use of the powder, people at work were sayng I look 5-7 years younger. Keep up the good work!

Beats BareMinerals - Hands Down!!- 10.30.09
I love that Laura came out with the pressed version of her mineral powder. For those of you looking for WAAAAY better coverage than BareMinerals - this is it!! The loose powder is great, but the pressed compact really allows you to build up the coverage without looking cakey. Lots of shades to select from, too. The only reason I didn't score it a 5 star is because with the pressed version you actually end up getting a little bit less than the loose at the same price. Still a good value, though :)

causes breakouts- 10.29.09
I tried the loose powder of this one, and it's really great. But once again, the ingredient Bismuth Oxychloride made me breakout. If you're not allergic to it, then this pressed mineral powder is for you.
It's less messy than the powder - saves you time from tapping, buffing, etc.- and it gives great coverage too.
Also, if you don't suffer from acne, and just have mild to occassional breakouts. You don't even need a concealer for this. You can use this too as a concealer by using a synthetic foundation brush.
This powder provides great buildable coverage, without feeling too heavy. It goes on light and smooth, but covers my freckles wonderfully when I add another layer. I haven't noticed that it does too much to help absorb oil, but I use another product for that. I am really glad I purchased this as a pressed powder.
I love this powder. This is one of the best I've ever used. It provides a beautiful coverage and stays on all day, also it has SPF 15 and all natural. Ladies, go get it, Ii promise you will not be disappointed.

Pretty good but not perfect- 10.20.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
Pros: very light and natural, I honestly don't even feel like I'm wearing anything at all. Sheer to medium coverage, sunscreen is a great plus. Seems like it'll last a while, I've had this for 2 months with everyday medium coverage and I've barely made a dent. Very quick to use, a kabuki brush and a few quick swirls around my face and I'm good to go in 10 seconds. Leaves a pretty, soft-focus look.
Cons: A lot "dustier" than I've expected from a pressed powder; powder will somehow loosen by itself and leave a coating on the inside plastic when I open it up. Also dabbing the brush in there kicks it up a bit. Because it's so dusty it gets up my nose very easily and irritates the heck out of my sinuses and throat; trying to be very careful and breathing out when I'm applying stops it a bit but it's still annoying. (I thought I got a pressed powder instead of a loose powder so I wouldn't have to deal with this!) Doesn't keep away oiliness forever; I have a very oily forehead and within a few hours the shine is back, and dabbing on too much over it can look cakey. The sponge is really insubstantial and hard to hold (even with the Mercier "rolling" technique).
All in all I like it, the coverage is really great, SPF is fabulous and the completely natural feel and look is awesome, especially in the summer and fall. I wanted a portable powder for touchups for my really shiny forehead, but I most likely will not be repurchasing because of it's unexpected messiness and useless sponge.

Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder SPF 15- 10.20.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage, oil-absorbing, reduces shine, very convenient and travels well
Fabulous product! This small and handy compact (I purchased two of them) provides exceptional coverage with a light matte finish. Perfect for touching up problem areas, such as red splotches, etc. Swipes on in a jiffy and can be carried anywhere, even in an evening bag. I strongly reccomend this product, especially for those who use bare minerals powder foundation, which I love but does not "travel" well, or really, even at all. And on a "slow" day, one can eschew the bare minerals powder and just swipe on the Mercier pressed powder. for a "finished" look in seconds.

Great Product- 10.19.09
I love this product! It really controls the shine, goes on smoothly, SPF 15 and I really like that it's pressed so no more mess. My Sephora consultant helped me with the shade, which was a big help.

Excellent- 10.16.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
I was hesitant because I have not had good luck with minerals. This one gives a very natural look. Look forward to using more of their products.
