I was very excited to try this since I love Exfolikate so much, but my skin ignored this completely. Zero results. Nothing. No difference at all. I couldn't tell I'd put anything on my skin at all. I tried it a multitude of different ways and used up about 1/2 the bottle trying to see something, anything at all...but in the end...nothing. I have combo dehydrated skin with large pores and very few lines. The largest line I have is between my eyes. Just one of the 11's and its prominent. This didn't phase it one little bit, nor did it make my skin look or feel smoother, fill in pores, or improve skin tone. I thought it would at least moisturize since it implies its hydrating in the name, but nothing. I definitely recommend getting a sample as your mileage may vary.

It tiny bit hits all of mt trouble spots. Very light and not greasy. I am seeing a decrease in my worst 2 lines. My skin seems brighter and pores seem cleaner. Wish the bottle was bigger!

Quick Take: hydrating
This serum did impress me when I got off the plane after a long flight. I noticed in the mirror that I had really bad wrinkles on my upper eyelids. I patted the serum around my eyes and it actually smoothed them out a bit. I am hoping for longer lasting results with repeated use! My only complaint is the smell, which is sweet and a bit odd. The pricetag is a bit extreme, so the jury is still out on whether I will buy this product again.

EXPENSIVE FOR A TEMPORARY FIX (10 DAY SAMPLE)

Quick Take: results seem temporary
My friend is awed by Kate Somerville's HydraKate Line Release Serum. She insisted I try it also, so I took a sample that was enough for what I thought would be a few days. It lasted for over a week, so it's obvious that a little goes a very long way. While I don't really have any wrinkles, I do have some very fine lines, so applied the serum as directed to those areas. It did seem to have almost immediate results and my skin felt tighter, too. I was seriously considering purchasing it when I realized that this seems more temporary than permanent. While it clearly works for many people, as judging by the reviews, I'm going to stick with what I already have, which seemed to be working as a preventative over the long-term. This seems like a good temporary fix, but if I'm going to pay $150 for one ounce, I want something I'm sure will work. If you're considering purchasing this item, or are on the fence, you can always get a sample to see if it will work for you.

I used this in conjunction with the eye serum and I've only used them for a few weeks, but they definitely work! I'm 60+ and I've tried so many products. I do look younger than my age...much younger...but, these products have made a noticeable difference already. I've been receiving compliments in the last few days about how beautiful my skin is.

Results wear off quickly

I was really happy with this serum at first until I realized that the results are VERY temporary (like a couple of hours). I had received some compliments on my skin after using it so I didn't return it. Unfortunately I later realized all of those compliments were in the morning and by the afternoon my skin had the same lines it had without the serum. Not worth the money. I wouldn't buy again.

You're not looking older - you're looking better! I am becoming a bonafide Kate Somerville fan! I love the way this serum minimizes my pores and helps to even out my skin tone...It's worth the price! At 52, I'm lucky enough I don't have a ton of lines...but it seems to do every thing else it promises.

this is really the first wrinkle serum i've used where i can tell a difference instantly. although in my early 30's i have started getting wrinkles from sun and wind damage being from the south and living in the mountains. i used chanel for a year or so and it just doesn't do it for me the way this does. my skin looks great after using this for about a week and some days don't wear foundation because i have really noticed a change in my skin. although expensive it is well worth the price. my smile lines are definitely beginning to fade.

I am giving this product 5 stars even with the spendy price tag because it is that good. I think all of Kate Somerville's products are superior, but this is my favorite. It works immediately to hydrate my skin and creates a smooth, flawless complexion. It works.

I have used them all, affordable to expensive without results...but not this time. Kate's products deliver. I use her complete line now. Exfolikate, followed by HydraKate Line Release and Nourish. My skin looks smoother, lines less noticeable and glowing. It is worth every penny and them some. I am so glad Sephora gives samples because I tried everyone of Kate's products first which was a real bonus. Deep Tissue Repair cream is amazing as well.

I have used several of the top line serums, but this is by far my favorite. It goes on smooth, absorbes quickly. This softens my fine lines and smooths my pores. I am 43 with combination skin. I love it!

I got this as part of “The Best of Kate Kit”. I have very oily skin so one thing I love about this serum is that it is water-based so it won’t clog my pores and cause breakouts. I’ve been using this for a few weeks and have seen no extreme results, however, I have noticed a softening of the lines around my eyes and the texture of my skin is smoother. I’ve been using it in conjunction with the other products in the kit so I’m not sure that this on its own is doing the job or if it is the regimen in the kit combined doing the work, but I have noticed a difference. This serum goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly so I can go ahead and put my makeup on over it. It works just fine underneath foundation, too—no flaking or balling up. I think this is a great serum and worth giving a try.

This product worked EXTREMELY well on those 11's and forehead lines, as well as fine lines around the mouth. Another problem area for me is skin texture on my upper cheeks from sun damage (the downside of high cheekbones)--while this product is definitely effective and definitely helps "plump" that area--it doesn't reverse the damage. However, long-term use (over 6 months) showed a sustained improvement but the improvement faded in about 3 weeks after I stopped using the product. Won't make that mistake again! The formula is a gel and very light--no concerns about milia or break-outs. Use HydraKate daily and feel GREAT about your skin. This is a MUST HAVE!

This serum, which I use at night under my moisturizer (I use Kate Somerville Quench serum during the day because it's half the price), does exactly what it claims to! Within a week of using it nightly I noticed a diminishing of my fine lines. It also helps to keep my face silky and smooth. I use Shiseido mousturizer and as much as I love it, I can tell the difference the next day when I don't use Kate Somerville serum. The only complaint I have is the cost, $150 a bottle for 1 ounce is really difficult for a mother of 3 and a grad student to boot. It's worth it though. I highly recommend it to all my family and girlfriends!
