Excellent... - 02.24.10
I am a huge Ed Hardy fan and try to always buy his gift sets to keep the packaging for collectors items. This is an absolutely excellent gift set--so unlike any of his others. I was surprised and excited with the makeup. It really turned out to be top quality makeup and brushes. Of course, the perfume is wonderful, too. This is a must-have for all Ed Hardy fans.

REALLY RUN KIT - BUY NOW WHILE STILL IN STOCK - 02.04.10
Quick Take: good value, smells delicious, decent lip products, great shadows, nice brushes, mirror, really nice kit

I was regifted with this set the other day. A friend bought one for herself in the fall, and she was given another over the holidays, so I ended up the lucky recipient. (I gave her an UD kit back). I had never tried any Ed Hardy cosmetic products before having only used a fragrance product. This is a very nice set, with six attractive eye shadows, a bronzer suitable for most skin tones, two solid perfumes, and really nice brushes for applying the lip products, eye shadows, and bronzer.

Although the shadows are not deeply intense, with a primer they apply almost exactly as they look before application, so basically, the shadows are exactly as they appear. The nice thing about the shadows is that every single shadow coordinates with any other shadow in this set. In addition, they all coordinate with the lip products and the bronzer. I'm not a great fan of any lip products, being more of an eye make up person. However, these are very nice lip glosses. They're not too heavy, and they're not sticky. They go on slightly lighter than they appear. The bronzer is a great color which should look good on many skin tones. It goes on silky smooth. It's a nice neutral bronzer.

The two solid perfumes smell really good. The products in this set smell really good too. I'm not sure if they smell good because they've been manufactured with a fragrance or if they've picked up the fragrance of the perfume, but regardless, everything smell good. This is a really nice feature. I was thinking about how this compares to other kits and palettes I have and love, where some of them just don't smell really great, not because of the product, but because because of the box, container or compact. In this situation, the addition of the delicious fragrance wafting around as I use the products makes it even more enjoyable. I should also mention that the solid perfumes have a very tight cover, so they won't dry out. (I don't want to confuse anyone into thinking that the fragrance surrounds the set because of poorly fitting tops - they fit just perfectly).

The applications are exceptionally nice for a kit like this and are very functional. They're weighted well, and feel decent in my hand. Lights, mirror... nice touch but it's truly the cosmetics contained in this case that make it so nice.

I really like this kit. Since it was actually a late summer or early fall release (when my friend got her first one), it will probably disappear from stock soon. So buy it now. You won't be disappointed.

Better than I imagined! - 01.14.10
Quick Take: good value, good size

I just received this last night and was amazed by the size, design and amount of product! All colors are absolutely wonderful and the eye shadows blend well for different day/night looks. The glosses go on wonderfully and don't wipe off too easily, ensuring longer lasting looks. The perfumes are yummy and stay rather well!

The only thing I would change about this is to have something to prop up the mirror and side lights, it is a very interesting idea I think, but could have been executed better. Only problem with the glittery eye shadows is that any glitter that falls outside the eye area doesn't just brush off.

All in all, based on variety of colors, overall look, sturdiness of packaging and overall enjoyment of the product, I'd give it 5 stars and recommend to any girl that likes bright colors, being dramatic with their looks and who love Ed Hardy! Truly fantastic!

ED Hardly Make up - 01.06.10
Quick Take: travel-friendly

As a make up artist I am try each and every brand of cosmetics. I loved the packaging and the fragrance solids and the bronzer, however I found the shadows to be a bit weak. You had to apply several layers to get the colors to show up. The lip gloss/lipsticks were a biit bright and not very blendable.

Love this makeup palette. All the colors of the lip glosses and eyeshadows go on bold. I think the colors in this palette are gorgeous. I bought this mainly because I love makeup and I love Ed Hardy's artwork. The brushes are of high quality and so is the packaging. It is made of cardboard but is very durable, sturdy and of high quality. The mirror is distortion free, and the lights turn on from the sides when opened. Overall, I think this is beautiful and would recommend it.

Let Down - 11.08.09
Quick Take: average

I was pretty disappointed with the color payout. Seemed I had to keep layering (even with primer) just to get any color. Not what I expected.

OMG I LOVE THIS THING! - 10.22.09
Quick Take: good value

If I had known when I woke up this morning that I would soon be looking at this set, I would have taken a little extra time to prepare myself for the glory that was today.

This makeup kit is the perfect item to complete my Ed Hardy collection. Now I can bronze my beautiful muscles so when they stretch my too small Ed Hardy t-shirt as I drink my Ed Hardy energy drink people will say, "Wow, look at THAT guy!" The mirror allows me to cock my Ed Hardy hat in PERFECT Ed Hardy fan fashion, while silently wondering if I remembered to put the Ed hardy sun blocker in my dodge neon.

My only complaint is that I can't apply the bronzer to my freshly shaved arms and chest after drinking my Ed Hardy vodka. But I don't want to complain about that in this public forum--I'll save it for my next Ed Hardy journal entry!

FIRST REVIEWER - Fantastic! - 10.19.09
Quick Take: good value, travel-friendly, fun, great gift

This is FABULOUS!
This is very cool; the lights work nicely, but don't give a lot of light to make-up by, but the ambiance is great fun!
The pots are VERY generously sized, the colors rich and blendable.
The brushes and applicators work very well.
The Bronzer is a very generously sized pot, and gives a nice sun kissed glow without any orange-y hint.
The lip pots offer great workable shades, generously sized pots, and blend well.
Everything smells Great because of the two perfume pots; they have tight fitting lids, and smell heavenly!
I am a huge fan of Ed hardy perfumes, so the tins are really great for taking with you in purse, or pocket and run true to scent.
This is a HUGE, great gift!
A great value and you won't be disappointed! It comes nicely boxed, perfect for gift giving!
Yes, the mirror is distortion free, too.
