Dewy, moisturizing, brush is not good.- 11.20.09
I adore this primer, but the brush really knocks off a star for me. The primer itself is fantastic - like a light silky cream lotion, it blends into your skin leaving your face looking bright and moisturized. After I layered on my regular foundation, powder, bronzer and then blush, I was a little bummed because I couldn't tell any difference at first. But as the day wore on, my makeup stayed on, and just kept looking better! Normally the oily patches of my skin lose the makeup after a few hours forcing me to reapply and get a really cakey look. With this primer, the makeup stayed on, and 9 hours into it, looked even better than I started!! My skin was glowing, not greasy, my makeup had blended with the primer and looked natural and my face looked healthy. There was no shimmer/glow, just a natural dewy non-cakey look. LOVE IT!
The applicator is the only problem. Very classy looking, but it only holds .5 oz compared to most other primers that are a full oz. Just like with Stila's glosses, you have to twist and twist to get the product into the brush, and run the risk of over gooping. The brush seems to waste the product as well, as I had to use several twists to cover my face, and resorted to using my fingers to blend it properly since the brush is very stiff and unwieldy, and all the product gets trapped in it. I wish it were in a skinny toothpaste tube like Too Faced's eye primer, because then you could just squeeze a drop onto your finger and use it on your face.

Amazing!- 11.19.09

I ordered this online over the weekend and got it tonight...I couldn't wait to use it after reading all of the reviews. I was a little nervous it wouldn't live up to the hype, however. No need to worry! I just used it for the first time and I see a HUGE difference!
I followed the instructions and put some on my hand, swirled it with the brush, and applied it to my whole face before putting on my foundation. I was worried that it wouldn't show through my foundation or that my foundation would counteract it because I use a pressed powder, but it still looks amazing! It made me look much more awake and less fatigued.
Great product, I will 100% buy this again when I run out!

BEST PRIMER EVER!!!- 11.17.09

I've tried several primers, and this one, by far, is the most amazing one ever. I will never buy any other primer but this one ever again!
My skin looked radiant the moment I applied it. When i applied my foundation on top (a light mineral powder of thin layer of liquid, depending on my mood/time/day, etc) my skin looked absolutely radiant ALL DAY. I'm a university student, I'm lucky if I get 4 hours of sleep per night and people commented on how great I looked. People, I looked like I had just come out of a massage and been on vacation (minus the tan LOL) for a week.
In terms of application, I put it on the back of my hand, then I "swish" the brush around it in and then apply. I've recently started mixing the primer and liquid foundation TOGETHER, then applying and I get equally amazing results. Also, I have sensitive, combination skin and this primer didn't aggravate my skin at all.
I don't often comment on stuff I buy just because I forget to, however, I often read the comments on here before making a purchase, which are always helpful; I had to write about this primer because I know that I will not be able to live without it. ever. again. seriously.

This product is excellent. I have used many primers and they all tend to get oily after a few hours. Skinflash illuminates your skin and allows for perfect application of foundation. i use much less of my foundation since I started using this product.

Wonderful for us Ladies of a Certain Age- 11.16.09

I've tried many primers, all by high-end brands. And this one is the best in terms of giving the skin more radiance WITHOUT the teenybopper sparkles. Best of all, it doesn't settle into any of the fine lines on my face. The color coming out of the container is not clear, so initially I was concerned that it would be like a tinted foundation - but it absorbs quickly and leaves no color - just a refreshing boost to the skin. I have a bit of redness in a couple small areas of my face, so I put one of the "correcting" primers in those areas only over this one. Actually, with this, I didn't even need to add anything else - even powder. Just great.

I like the convience of the packaging but question just how much I use with each application. You still have to use your fingers after applying with the brush. My skin does look better and it seems to make my pores less visible. It did not work well as an eyeshadow primer. I have paid less for primers that have yielded similar results so... Cost wise- I don't think I will purchase this again.

This is a good product. It works well, doesn't streak (as long as you follow the instructions on the box), it distributes evenly, and it gives a nice sheen to your skin.
Also, the brush is very convenient, if you're rushing or on-the-go, and you don't have time to do your makeup at home. Just put on a pair of sunglasses (with dark or miirrored lenses) and throw this in your bag, and you're good to go.
However, for a brush-primer I prefer the Yves Saint Laurent Soin Pinceau Éclat Instantané. I love this because it works like the Touche Éclat (a Godsend) for your entire face. It's simply divine.
The Dior Skinflash Primer is approx. 12$ less than the Yves Saint Laurent Soin Pinceau Éclat Instantané, but for 12$ more, it's a great deal for what you get.

I don't get it. This product did NOTHING! Applicator brush was too stiff and seemed to pick back up everything it deposited. I did not notice any benefits to this product at all. Nothing bad about it, it blended right in, felt fine, just didn't do anything! Certainly didn't "conceal" as it states, or create a "flawless finish". If using as a primer or base to foundation, I would think this product would get lost under anything else. Waste of money...Back it goes.

This product is amazing! i brushed it on and instantly my skin was radiant. Makeup went on much more smoothly and my complexion remained even all day! i'm usually use to all of those silicone textured primers, but this is definitely a primer that i will now be sticking too!

Finally a primer that works!- 11.12.09

I've tried lot of primers... hoping to find one that would even my skintone and give me a nice glow without being sparkly or too dark. Dior's Skinflash primer is that one! Do follow the package directions and dispense the product onto your hand, then swirl onto your face with the brush (otherwise the product will leave streaks on your skin). I use this with my DiorSkin Nude liquid makeup and my old StudioFix powder and it makes both look flawless. Love the light scent as well (which surpised me -- my skin is quite sensitive to fragrance). Since using Skinflash I haven't had a single new breakout! The only downside is that I do still get a bit shiny by the end of the day (but nothing a quick swipe of powder can't fix). A++!!

I just love this new product. I have no need to use makeup anymore. I wear this primer alone and get so many compliments on the street of how good my skin looks. I like that you can reapply throughout the day if needed on t-zone area. And did I mention the scent? It is absolutely yummy! it doesn't get better than this. Try it on areas that tend to shadow for a quick light highlight. You will see results immediately. You will not be disappointed with this primer!
