Keep in mind that Peter Thomas Roth is more about caring of your lashes than covering them up. Much like the sunscreen people learned that we would protect our skin if they also made it a foundation, PTR has given us color and length we want, but also cares for your lashes at the same time. My lashes are in better condition (not dry), I don't lose as many and they seem fuller and longer. If you are looking for mascara that gives you fakey looking lashes, this is not it. If you want to improve and excentuate what you have, this is for you. It goes on nice. Love the wand to get even bottom fringe without flakes. And it is good for you!

My eyes are fairly sensitive and this mascara didn't work for me. It felt really heavy and flaky and went on in a way that was hard to control. It did make my lashes long and very dark but I was constantly aware that I was wearing it. I want a mascara that doesn't flake and doesn't feel like anything on my eyes when I'm wearing it. The color was nice and dark on this, which was good.

The brush is fantastic. It separates the lashes so that the mascara really goes on clump-free and on each individual lash. This is coming from someone with minimal eyelashes that are fine and light colored besides. For me it's an uphill battle. But with this mascara my lashes look fuller and longer. The lashes really frame my eye now. My one complaint is that it does flake a little.

Peter Thomas Roth Mascara and Other Products Too- 02.18.10

this mascara is really fantastic. i was using a japanese mascara that was - from a distance - fantastic, but up close it clumped my eyelashes together and also dried them out. this PTR mascara must have some conditioner in it (see below, i am guessing that the PTR products all have a significant amount of shea butter in them, including this mascara) because within days my eye lashes felt silky again (when no mascara was on them). that said, this mascara is not water proof so taking a jog in the snow left me looking like a racoon, and jogging with it on during a rainless day also left me having to clean up smudges, i.e., it is not suitable for exercise.
i decided to try the PTR mascara because i had begun to use some of his other products which i also love. one caveat though, is that they seem to use shea butter, and because shea butter has to be kept at a certain temperature or else it hardens and then doesn't unharden and can not be applied to skin so i recommend opening the containers right after you buy them to make sure they are fresh; sephora would have taken them back if i had returned the old stuff sooner. I only had this problem once, but still something to keep in mind.

When women think about lashes, they just want length, length, length!!! I change my mascara from time to time, using mostly drug-store bought brands. When I walked into Sephora, I told the sales person that I wanted a new mascara. She raved about the Peter Tomas Roth brand. I trusted her judgement and now I am hooked.

I love this mascara. It never clumps, adds length and volume and is buildable to the point of almost looking like false lashes. It leaves lashes soft, removes easily at the end of the day with eye makeup remover, and doesn't flake off. I have very sensitive eyes and wear contact lenses, and this mascara never irritated my eyes, or stuck to my lenses. It glides on smoothly like a gel, and makes eyes look awake and defined.

PTR has made a great mascara in "Lashes to Die For." The brush is easy to handle without making a mess and it coats lashes with beautiful thick black mascara that is completely clump-free. Most mascaras require at least two coats to get the job done, but I only have to put on one coat and I'm done with PTR's. It has great staying power--no flaking or smudging throughout the day. It is truly worth every penny.
