Quick Take: good value
I just received this hair straightner in the mail. I previously used a CHI but it broke while I was travelling overseas, it seemed like everyone I was traveliing with had a GHD and after borrowing theres I could see why. It straightens my hair in literally 5 mins. where as the CHI always took at least 20. I was very hesitant to spend this much on a straightner but I'm so happy that I did, I do not regret this purchase in the slightest. It is the full size straightner, the two sprays are actually bigger than they seem in the picture and the two cases are awesome. I could not be happier!

I bought this set today and I am sooo in love. I have tried the CHI, Sedu, Paul Mitchell, etc........ This is the best $240 I have ever spent. It makes beautiful curls and gets my hair stick straight in one run through. My hair looks way better then when my stylist does it and much more healthy. And I have always been one of those girls who can NEVER get their hair as pretty as when I get it done. But not anymore!!!! I think the heat protecter is very good as well. The case is really pretty too :)
You will not be disappointed with this iron. I looked at reviews after review from a bunch of sites and found nothing but good things about this brand. Anyone who says the CHI is better must not have tried this one.

This product cannot have been made any better. I was waiting for something like this to come out because it is a great value! With the straightener, you get a beautiful and elegant velvet covered hard box that I thought might have been tacky and childlike when I read the description online but is actually gorgeous and perfect to store your straightener in when you want to travel with it. You also get a lovely leopard print styler pouch that is HEAT-RESISTANT contrary to the review below (I looked it up on the GHD website). It is not cheap looking in the least and is great quality material. Last but not least, you also get two mini versions of miracle mist and thermal protector both of which are for normal to fine hair. I have yet to try the miracle mist but I must say I'm not the biggest fan of the protector. This may be because I have thick, coarse hair so I did not remove a star because of my bias. Also, the straightener itself is AMAZING. It does seem the tiniest bit narrower than the one sold separately but it could just be me going crazy. Still works great though, so I'm not complaining. Overall, this set is just divine considering it is the same price as the original without all the sweet perks!

GHD styler- 10.31.09
The iron itself is spectacular and worth every penny!!! I have pretty straight fine hair that gets "tangly" but I love the "pressed hair look." Even though I have straight hair nothing gets my hair as polished like this. Not even drying it straight and flat ironing it with the aide of styling products. This iron fixed my botched bangs. I'm pretty crafty but nothing I did would smooth my bangs to the side. One pass with this iron and I'm good to go! I do recommend to get the Urban Angel set and save the $30 because the styler pouch isn't that useful, it's just cloth and I don't think it's heat proof, hence the 4 star rating. Excellent investment piece!

Quick Take: truly amazing! worth every penny!
I had all types of flat irons throughout the years. I was soooo excited last Oct to purchase the CHI which broke exactly one year later. I was so upset my husband told me to buy the GHD and OMG!!! I absolutely love it!!! One swipe thru your hair and its so straight and shiny! I am african american with natural hair....LOVE LOVE LOVE this! Worth every penny!

Quick Take: absolutely exceptional
This product is absolutely amazing. I've used the CHI, the FHI, and those junk ones that you buy at kiosks in the middle of the mall, but this by far beats any straightener I've ever used. And I love the fact that this one gives you a little more than a sample size of the miracle mist and thermal protector. Not to mention, the beautiful velvetty soft case it comes in... it's perfect for traveling. You'll know that your expensive straigtener is not being smashed because it is a hard case. I also LOVE the leopard print zip case it comes it. Definitely worth the money!!
