Quick Take: good value
I have tried the buxom lips before and I love them! Decided to give this set a try because I love the lighter colors. They are glittery, but not teenage glittery. . .they really are more shimmery on your lips. The only color I was not sure about was Holly because it was a bit too bright for me....but it looks fabulous when a little bit is applied with any of the others--particularly Hope. If you add just a touch of Holly to Hope it becomes a beautiful pink color. I would definitely recommend this set. For those that think it is too glitterly. . .don't forget that the shimmer makes your lips look fulller and younger!
I love this set! Good variety of colors, and Hope is one of my new favorites for sure. I Hope (lol) they come out with full sizes of these, but that is 'limited edition' for you. You could wear the lighter shades with everyday simple makeup or use any of them with your holiday wow look. I may get another set :)
As I have said before, I am a lipgloss fiend. I love the BE products, especially the Buxom Lip Polish (NOT the full-color Buxom). I thought this special set would be spectacular and live up to the BE quality and promise. BUT this particular kit is horrible. These glosses are nothing but glitter and they smell terrible. I would NOT recommend this kit, not even to my worst enemy! YUCK! I returned these glosses the same day that I received them!
This set is amazingggg for holiday! I absolutely adore the red gloss, Merry. It's not too sheer and not too full-looking. The others are great to wear alone or mix with other lip products. Just enough sparkle too, not super sparkly like the diamond babes.
I love the red Holly color. I'm a red kind of gal. Once again BE gives us a delightful set of lip polishes for the season - I wait for these with baited breath! And I'm never disappointed. These are subtly sparkly, shiny and gorgeous, over lipstick or on their on. A lovely little treat that I gave myself.
I really love the Buxom glosses. This set isn't my favorite, and I knew it probably wouldn't be. While I LOVE the product, the colors aren't for me. The red seems a little orange on me. The silver and gold colors are kind of heavy on the shimmer. I haven't tried the neutral yet. If these are colors you like, then I definitely recommend this set. I'm planning a Babes About Town purchase soon!

I'm a big fan of Buxom gloss, and these colors are lovely but ladies beware! The Winter collection is sparkly, super sparkly. Glittery even. And glitter should stay with the Ice Capades or the very young.
I hate writing a negative review because I LOVE the buxom babes lip glosses. But this set just didn't do it for me. I love the red color, and the darker tan is nice. However, the clear and the light gold are SO sparkly, I just can't wear them. I don't mind shimmery makeup but these are too much for me. I'd recommend skipping this set.
This is a great little package...the glosses are minty and a bit tingley, the two nudes are different shades, and the red is the perfect holiday RED! The fourth one gives me the look of snow crystals on my lips.... Bravo!
I bought this set as part of a Christmas gift for some gals in my family. When I opened up the package and saw the "Holly" colour, I knew I just had to try it.
I am usually not a sparkly/glittery fan, and was originally buying these for some younger gals in the family....however, this little gem has made me a fan of Buxom Babes Lip Polishes. Wow! is all I can say....what a colour perfect set of polishes for the festive season. Glittery and fun....but well done all at the same time. the glitter is minuscule, and enhances your lips.
I love "Holly"... it's the red tone in the set of 4....the colour is not too sparkly and not too bright....it actually goes on quite sheer, (or I suppose you can build the colour up by applying more.) I love the tingling sensation on my lips after I have applied it. It's like a cool minty feeling.
I was really surprised by the quality of the formula too....usually with lip gloss's its off after one sip from your water bottle, or mug of tea. But this stuff has real staying power for a gloss! I am pretty much sold on the stuff just by the quality of it alone....it actually lasts and the colour saturation is gorgeous! It's not goopy or sticky either, and you can wear it alone or on top of other lip sticks.
I like them so much I am thinking of ordering another set all for me!....what a super introduction in BE lip polishes...very good deal!! Beautifully packaged too I might add...would make an excellent gift for anyone who appreciates a top quality lip gloss in fun, seasonal colours!
i have the diamond set and loved it (especially celeste) however, Hope blows celeste out of the water. i've been selling makeup a very long time and Hope NEEDS to be full size. it's beautiful! my biggest compaint is they should have had brush applicators like the diamond set.
So I bought this set after seeing the red gloss in there.... and it's definitely awesome. I've used it every day since and it's almost as effective as eyelash batting. A bit obsessed with the red at the moment, but I've sampled the other tingly shades in the set and they're a nice pearly & subtle kick.
As much as I love Buxom Gloss, I wasn't impressed with how the colors turned out. The red one was nice, but the other three made me look like a space-alien due to the thickness of the color and the over abundance of glitter. The beige made my lips look brown, the clear/white one actually turned out being a pink glitter explosion, and the gold just made me look ill. Needless to say, I will be returning this, as the colors weren't what I expected them to be.
The colors in this winter escapade set are very pretty,and I LOVE the sponge applicator instead of the brush!My only complaint is the formula is a little bit thick,but the colors are so nice i'll overlook that.
I really love this kit..I only gave it 4 stars because the red color is a bit brright for my fair skin. The other colors are really great..the taupe color is awesome with a little glimmer to it. You could wear these colors alone or over any other BE colors. I will be wearing these all season long!
i always buy the buxom babes lip kits when they come out....this is the BEST one by far!!!!!!!!! i love the colors!!!! i love the tingling sensation you feel on your lips when you put it on. only thing i didn't care for was the applicator. in my other kits it was more like a brush...these are more like sponges.....i like the brush better. but overall i LOVE buxom babes!!!

Okay, this has got to be THE best Buxom Babes set EVER! I LOVED the Diamond set, went through at least 6 of them ... tried the Flower set ... wasnt too crazy about those. However these are FABULOUS! My favorite has got to be Merry ... its a sparkly nudey-biege. I hope that they make this a full size. I usually dont wear red but Holly is a flattering red hue that I can either wear solo or top off a red lipstick and make it sparkly! Hope is a super shimmery/sparkly silver ... not really work appropriate, even on top of lipstick ... its really sparkly. Joy is a creamy-goldy shimmer that looks terrific over lipstick. I knew as soon as I saw these that I had to buy them! Now that I've had the time to experiment with the various color options, I'm going to order some more! If you liked their previous sets, you've GOT to get this one!
