Laura Mercier Crème de Pistache Bath & Body Collection

What it is: A bath and body collection inspired by creme de pistache and the French patisserie. What it does: Inspired by her French upbringing, Laura brings an authentic approach to the bath and body category, believing that fragrance is a personal signature. With Creme de Pistache Body & Bath Collection, she has created playful, yet decadent and sophisticated formulas inspired by the aura and aroma of the French patisserie. Honey Bath is a foaming, honey-scented moisture bath that leaves skin feeling clean, fresh, and moisturized. Body Wash is a gently scented cleaner that creates a creamy lather and leaves your body nourished and fragranced, feeling smooth and moisturized. Scrub is a polishing body exfoliator that gently sloughs away dead skin cells, leaving smooth, radiant, polished skin. Souffle Body Creme is an ultrawhipped scented body creme that provides luxurious all-day moisture protection without being heavy or greasy. Body Butter is a super-rich scented moisturizer that absorbs quickly into skin to deliver the ultimate in hydrating luxury. Hand Creme is a super-hydrating, deeply penetrating scented creme that comforts and soothes hands, leaving skin moisturized and velvety soft. Eau Gourmande Spray is an eau de toilette that truly captures the essence and flavor of the patisserie scent and is the essential finishing touch of your fragrance regimen. What else you need to know: Creme de Pistache, inspired by the creamy and nutty aromas of pistachio desserts, is a decadent blend of gourmande ingredients with a combination of almond, praline, and hazelnut nuances and freshly whipped cream for a rich, luscious experience.

Yummy

Quick Take: scented, rich
Pricy but worth every penny! I don't think I've ever tried a Laura Mercier product I didn't love. This is no exception.
I have dry skin and this is so creamy and gentle leaving my slin feeling soft. The smell is light and heavenly!

Mix feeling about the body butter
-05.03.13
Quick Take: scented, rich, buttery, sweet nutty scent, luxurious
So, I tried the body butter, and I was very excited about the scent because I love the pistachio and nutty aromas. As a body butter, it really works great, it makes your skin so rich and moisturized. Try to put it on after shower and before you go to sleep, so your body absorbs it fully. The problem I have actually is with the scent; once you smell it is amazing but after a bit, it turn to sweet scent which I do not like. If you are not into sweet scents like me, you may be want to rethink this.

mixed feelings
-04.07.13
I have such mixed feelings about this scent line from LM. I first ordered the hand creme, and I fell in love. The packaging really stinks (which is especially odd since her other hand cremes come in better packaging) but the scent is sweet and nutty and I get compliments on it frequently when I use it. I finally splurged and bought the body spray when I was on my third round of hand creme, and it does NOT smell the same. It smells like the My Little Pony toys I used to own; sweet plastic, with absolutely no nut scent at all. I will continue to purchase the hand creme, as the formula and scent are nice, but steer clear of the body spray!

hand cream - moisturizing but bad design
-03.24.13
I went and smelled all the different collections since a lot of my favorite youtube beauty gurus like the souffles (which I personally wouldn't spend the $ on) and was surprised that the creme de pistache was my favorite. I decided to test out the hand cream. Smells nice and is moisturizing enough. The one major complaint as others have said is the design. There is a small hole in the "cap" of the tube where you push the lotion through. When you twist the cap closed more product will squirt out, so I had to get in the habit of closing the cap before putting the product in my hand. If you are interested in this I'd recommend checking it out in person to see if you are okay with the design. If you have a large purse and have ever had a product open and spill you will likely appreciate this design.

Torn..
-01.25.13
Hand lotion review -- The smell is amazing out of the bottle. Smells so warm and nutty. But as soon as you put it on your hand and rub it in, the smell completely changes to plastic. Disappointing for such an expensive item. Also the packaging of this item is TERRIBLE. It has a twist top that is hard to get the lotion onto your hand and then when you close it, more lotion oozes up to the top causing it to dry there and look awful! Get a twist top or a flip off top!!!! This is an expensive item for such a bad design.

Not a great scent
-01.06.13
The hand cream does work well, but the scent is a bit off. I will keep it because my hands feel good. But, I won't be enjoying the "nutty aroma." It's a bit too nutty for me.

I really enjoy the creme de pistache hand cream! The scent is strong but I enjoy the scent and my hands feel like silk when I use this product. Can't wait to try more of the collection.

Crème de Pistache Hand Cream
-01.01.13
This review is for the Crème de Pistache Hand Cream. I love pistachios and I didn't find the hand cream to smell like anything remotely resembling pistachio. It smelled light and sweet but just not as I expected. The hand cream wasn't as thick as I expect a hand cream to be either.

EDT = Yuck!... Others = YUM!!!!
-03.24.12
I wish I could review these as individual products instead of the whole collection. The lotions and bath products are amazing. The scent is so luscious and the products are high quality. I was thrilled to order the EDT, but when I sprayed it all I got was a cloud of icky patchouli. I despise patchouli. The scent in no way resembles the creamy deliciousness found in the other products. It went straight back.

Creme de Pistache Body Care Line
-02.23.12
Very rarely do I come across a scent that I absolutely love but have found one with Laura Mercier's Pistache product line. Everytime I use this line, the compliments are numerous. I have purchased and enjoy the honey bath, the body wash, creme soufle, body butter, hand cream and the perfume. The products are luxurious and very moisturizing while leaving the body wonderfully scented. The perfume is quite strong, a little goes a long way, but it quickly calms down to a fresh and very pleasant scdent that really lasts. The body butter is extremely rich. The hand cream is lovely and is not greasy at all.

YUMMY YUMMY & MORE YUMMY!
-02.15.12
Quick Take: out of theis world
There is not a single product in this entire Line that I do not LOVE TREMENDOUSLY SO! This is just about THE MOST LUXURIOUS AND PAMPERING body product line out there.from the bath creme, to the souffle, each product tops one another,EVEN THE SCRUB IS WONDERFUL! ALthough a bit pricey for some of us, IT IS WELL WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY! IT IS SIMPLY PUT PAMPERING AT ITS BEST! EVERY SCENT SMELLS so yummy AND EACH PRODUCT ITSELF IS WONDERFUL QUALITY! from Laura Mercier.THERE IS NOT ONE SCENT IN HER ENTIRE LINE THAT I DO NOT LOVE.I love the creme brulee, the almond coconut, the fig, and this pistache.THESE ARE LUXURIOUS, RICH scents of INCREDIBLE QUALITY THAT ONE WOULD EXPECT FROM ONLY LAURA MERCIER AND SHE DOES NOT LET ANYONE DOWN WITH HER BODY LINE PRODUCTS! AND ALTHOUGH VERY SWEET THEY SMELL OUT OF THIS WORLD! NOTHING SIMPLY COMPARES..I own every perfume she makes and I love to take a bath with the bath creme, followed by the body cream and then a a touch of perfume.IF YOU NEED SOME GOOD PAMPERING, THIS IS THE BEST LINE THERE SIMPLY IS OUT THERE!!!! .YOU CANNOT BE LET DOWN,. AS EACH SCENT IS AS WONDERFUL THE OTHER AND WORTH EVERY PENNY LITERALLY!

A Decadent Treat!
-02.11.12
Quick Take: rich, luxurious, creamy, long lasting
I'm not really into smelling edible. I hate fruity, sweet scents (something a pre-teen would wear) and have stayed away from the rest of Laura Mercier's body products for that reason (creme brulee, coconut, and fig). This line was a big exception, it smells nutty and CREAMY. Hard to describe but I could use it forever for the scent alone.
The products themselves are really luxurious and indulgent. I don't use them often - they're too pricey for daily use - but on special nights, I use the entire line and feel delicious. There's no need to use perfume, especially with the souffle, because the fragrance really wafts from the skin.

body butter - Delicious scent, a decadent treat
-01.11.12
Quick Take: scented, rich, expensive but worth it
Just tried the body butter for the first time (I have never used any Laura body products, only cosmetics). I was looking for a thick, rich, sweet scented cream for a fun winter treat. And I am in love. This is expensive (on par with the similar Fresh product which I also like) but worth it. The scent is reminiscent of baked goods (if you like philosophy you may enjoy this). It rubs in well and the moisture lasts. I can't wait to try other products in this line.

So-so
-12.31.11
I bought this because I love the body cream, but this smells nothing like it. It is pleasant enough but I was looking for a perfume that mirrors the body cream so I could layer it. It is just not as rich as smelling.

Love this scent
-12.12.11
I absolutely love this scent. It's very nutty smelling and also has a neat little spicy smell to it as well. It left my skin very smooth, but the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because the scent doesn't last very long on my skin. That's too bad, but I would still recommend this product.
