Great at first, but terrible soon after- 03.13.10
If I had written this review when I first got the mascara, it would have been 5 stars: totally does what it says it will. The brush was fantastic, and my lashes looked long and separate. After only about two weeks of use, however, the mascara is clumping so badly that it is almost unusable. I cannot even clean off the brush enough to be able to use it without clumps getting on my lashes. I wish I could return it.

Terrible mascara- 03.12.10
This mascara was definitely NOT worth the price tag. It didn't do anything--no lengthening, no thickening, absolutely nothing. I ended up returning it.

I absolutly love Long Lash Mascara by Laura Mercier. I reccomend it to all my friends if they want long lashes. I first tried it on at Sephora and fell in love with how it lengthened my lashes and opened my eyes to make them POP! If you are looking for length, this is the mascara to buy!

This is the first mascara that I love enough to use every day. It doesn't clump, just separates and elongates my very short lashes. It doesn't flake or smudge. Even if I wear no other makeup, I'll use this mascara.

LOVE<LOVE<LOVE this mascara, I usually such issues like with clumping, but this works great for long lashes.
I'm a Lancome Hypnose fan, and this mascara very closely rivals the lengthening and volumizing of Hypnose. But one thing that was different that I liked about this mascara was the separation! I didn't need to use a mascara comb afterward, which I always found myself doing on work days (at night I don't mind my lashes to be fuller). So I now use this mascara during the day and still keep my Lancome for night!

I love thinner mascara wands and this one is great! The mascara lengthens and separates but I do need a little more volume. I know they advertise it as lengthening and not volumizing but although my lashes are nice and long, they appear very thin. It doesn't smudge, overall OK.

Not Impressed at all- 01.22.10
Though this mascara smelled better than most, it did absolutely nothing to lengthen or volumize my lashes. On top of that, it made my lashes stick straight even though I had just curled them. Didn't clump, but I wasn't impressed so I took it back for Fresh's Supernova Mascara.

I love this mascara. I have used Dior Iconic mascara for more than a year. I accidently did not put the lid on my Dior mascara twice within 1 week and the result was that my mascara dried out and was very clumpy. I decided to use the Sephora search engine to see if there was any other mascara that sounded good. I landed on the Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara, read many of the review, from 5 star to 1 star and decided that it was worth a try, especially based on Sephora's return policy. I could not be happier. Believe I will stick with this one for years. It has amazing lengthening power. I cannot believe that with one stroke, my lashes, normally medium length and medium density, become these long, sweeping, striking lashes. No clumping at all. Great applicator. No flaking. No smudging. 12 hour staying power. I love to try new products and new brands...I have tried many of the mascara products offered by the department store makeup counters and Sephora. If you are looking for a lengthening mascara, there is not need for you to look any further than Laura Mercier.

Best mascara ever. It does make lashes long. I am a contact lens wearer and have no problem with this formula. Other long lash formulas are filled with "fibers", not this one. WIth every mascara product I have tried, I still wipe excess from brush before application to avoid clumping.

I been using this mascara for a while, at first I was hard on it for not holding curl the way I would like it too, but overall it does a really good job! No flakes or smudges and I been using this product for some time now. The brush is great for reaching every lash and it combs the lashes really well. Smooth application and minimal clumping. It is worth the buy!

I was happy to discover that LM's mascara is as good as their other products. It goes on easily, not too heavy or artificial-looking, and my lashes look longer and fuller. It lasts, too - no 'raccoon shadows.' And best of all, it cleans off easily without flaking - I don't use a special remover.

Quick Take: lengthening, very smooth application, does not hold curl
This mascara is a good mascara. It leaves the lashes super soft and there is minimal flaking and smudging. However, as the previous rating stated this mascara does not hold curl very well at all. It somewhat weighs down the lashes, but it does have good performance overall. It lengthens well, and provides some volume. The brush is another plus, it allows for the application of the mascara to glide on very smooth. All and all, I probably wont buy this product again, I really like for my mascara to hold curl, otherwise I see no point in investing the time to curl them.
