"these are made for men"

My husband likes this set, he said the clippers aren't wimpy girl clippers. Which sounds good to me, it's super light and easy to travel with!!

AL The Tool Kit
-05.17.12
Quick Take: good value
I bought two of these: one for my boyfriend and one for my brother as gifts. They are very nice sets and they are great quality. I have even used it a couple of times. The clippers and very nice and work very well. The nail file is different that I'd expected, but not hard to use.

Nice Kit
-04.06.11
Quick Take: a great gift
My fiance (now husband!) bought three of these kits as part of his groomsmen gifts for our wedding this past weekend. I can't say how the products in this kit perform, you'd have to ask the boys, but the kit itself seemed like a quality product.

GREAT GIFT FOR DAD!
-01.04.11
Quick Take: sleek compact masculine
This was a stocking stuffer for my husband. Now, he is very possessive of it and keeps it nice and tidy on his side of the vanity. He was very proud to receive it and to have his own grooming kit. Was a nice find. I would recommend it -- my husband uses it all the time.

He loves it!
-12.04.10
Quick Take: convenient, practical, sleek, portable, sturdy
Got this for him as a stocking stuffer a Christmas or two ago?
He loves it. Honestly. It makes him feel 'chic' that his tools are in a case and it's pretty 'fancy' looking.
The tools work great, the tweezers aren't the best but we just do unibrow cleanup, so no biggy. I've used the clippers only a few times but they seem pretty strong for small ones, and he uses them on his toenails (always wipe down with alcohol wipes gfs/bfs, no matter how much you love eachother! ) which makes me really trust that they're sturdy. The nail file we don't really use except to get the dirt out, but it feels 'sandpaper-y' enough to do the job if your man needed it.
You obviously don't need to be a man to use this personally, and I know you could spend a little more and get 'professional' size/quality or spend incredibly less and get dollar-store ones, but this is worth it AS A GIFT.
Your son, hubby, bf, homie, dad or whoever, would probably really appreciate such a neat & sleek collection of tools. Definitely better looking & more appealing than the ones that come in leather cases with rubber-band holders.
I'd buy this again for co-workers stocking stuffers, white elephant stuff, really practical 'spare gift' to have.

my girl got me this tool kit for our 6 month anniversary nstead of taking it as a gesture of goodwill i took it as a hint, that maybe she wants me to start i dunno, manscaping. i guess i was pretty grungy before, but i decided, why don't i clip my nails instead of bite them, and trim my nose, ear, and eyebrow hairs. i think she likes this new "well groomed" me. and by well groomed i mean slightly improved. maybe ill start doing other things to spruce myself up. i never realized how much the ladies like a dude who puts a fraction of effort into his appearence. try it, and see if people dont start taking you more seriously. this tool kit worked wonders for me.

Fair product, fair price
-07.03.10
Nothing too profound to report about here - got this set for a pretty decent price of $18.
Clippers are pretty good, small and strong, even for stubborn toe-nails.
Nail file does the trick. Can't speak to the scissors, as I haven't made use of them yet.
The tweezers are a bit dull though, so I had to defer to another pair I had previously to get at some stubborn short hairs.
I guess this one's a matter of personal preference, but I thought the tin container was a bit chunkier than it could have been, and the over-sized logo looks a bit tacky.
All-in-all, a decent purchase, nothing too profound, but nothing to regret entirely either, especially at so fair a price point.

Cheap
-04.06.10
Everything in this set is substandard and cheap, despite having a snazzy brushed finish and being in such a fancy case. But the case is overly bulky (i thought i could carry it in my purse, but it's the size of a mini coke can) and each tool is dull. The clippers leave my nails ragged, the tweezers just pull and hurt without actually tweezing and the file doesn't do anything. Haven't tried the scissors, but I don't have high hopes for them. Too much trouble to return so I kept it, but don't waste your money.

GREAT KIT FOR MEN - GREAT SIZE FOR HOME, TRAVEL
-02.26.10
Quick Take: perfectly sized for travel, $$ donated ton prostate cancer research
My husband is getting together grooming kits for our sons, and is including this kit, which is perfect for both home and travel. It's not quite as strong as a professional set of instruments, but would be perfect for an adult male's travel kit, and is ideal for teenagers. It's a great kit for a college dorm. The $18 price is a good value, and a portion of that is donated to prostate cancer research.
Inside the case are stainless steel tweezers, nail clipper, nail file, and a grooming scissors. I highly recommend this.

Cheap & Not Well Thought-Out
-02.14.10
I was going to buy this for my partner, but when I checked it out in store, the contents were obviously cheap. The scissors were very poor quality & all of the tools were too tiny for a man's hands (& my partner is not a large man). The tools could have been longer for the container housing them. We really wanted to love this as we've been looking for a travel set in a little case/pouch & love Anthony's products. Hopefully Sephora will create a store brand version soon.
