Quick Take: pretty colors not worth the money
Beautiful colors, very easy to blend.
The colors aren't very pigmented. They're not completely sheer and slightly build able but not as much as I'd like. Also a bit soft which causes fall out :(

fabulous shadows

Quick Take: portable, good value, pigmented, blendable
This palette is worth buying for the shade "Insane Jane" alone. It's a colour TheBalm hasn't released on its own but it is one of my favourite all-time shadows. In addition to that one fantastic shade, you get 8 more really pigmented, blendable shadows in a wide range of colours from deep to light and bright to neutral. Nice mirror included too and it all comes together to make this a great palette for home use or for when you travel or even if you want to do something dramatic when going out right from work to a party or dinner engagement.

Love the colors, lasts all day, just enough shimmer, i hate eye shadows that end up all around your eyes, this one stays were I put it, a must have!

Quick Take: pigmented, wearable, longlasting
I wasn't really sure what to expect when I got this since it's my first TheBalm purchase. But I'm happy to say I absolutely love it! All the colors are very unique and have great color pay off. A lot of the eyeshadows also have a hint of sparkle which is very nice for an evening look, but also not too overpowering if you want to wear it to the office.
My absolute favorite color are the two colors on the left hand side of the top row. The first is a rich brown color with a hint of sparkle, it's a really wearable brown and super super gorgeous. I'm definitely re-purchasing if it runs out.
The middle color in the top row is a rich dark purple-navy color. I can't describe it, it's just so unique and pretty! It is a very interesting color to do a smokey eye with.
Overall I'm so glad I bought this palette :)

Quick Take: blendable, well-pigmented, shimmery, beautiful
TheBalm makes my favorite eyeshadows and this palette has several of my favorites. They are shimmery so if you don't like that look, this is not for you. The dark gold color is the only one I don't like, and the glitter on the dark purple one is way too big for daytime, but other than that, these are great. Perfect pigment, blendable, velvety smooth.

Quick Take: portable, good value, pigmented, buttery smooth, easy to blend
These eyeshadows are buttery smooth and a pleasure to apply. Besides the upper left brown which has glitters in it, everything else is shimmery. The pigmentation is strong and even, lasting power is great over a primer. I especially love the lavender gray in the middle row as a lid color and the lower right champagne as highlight. There is also a large mirror included in the lid but due to the flat cardboard construction it doesn't stand opened.
Each shade is about 0.06 oz, similar to most line's full-size singles. Made in USA.

Oh yeah, the shady lady palettes are great. the colors do NOT contain annoying glitter, theres no fall out and the case is pretty sturdy for travel. the purple and grey are spectacular on my hazel eyes.. and $39 is a bargain for 9 full sized shadows!!

I have all three of the Shady Lady palettes, and this was actually a rebuy because the mirror on my first palette broke. The colors are gorgeous, shadows are soft and pigmented and easy to blend. Definitely worth picking up, as are the other two if you can get them!

Amazing value --each shadow is bigger than the full-size ones from Urban Decay or MAC! Has a nice big mirror and protective sleeve too. They're buttery smooth, EXTREMELY pigmented and the shades turn up true to how they look in the pan. Minimal fall-out, very blendable and make good eyeliners if you apply wet. All of these are soft shimmers; no mattes. The dark brown and dark purple shades are the only ones with visible flecks of glitter; good for a night out. The white and cream colors make great highlighters. TheBalm's eyeshadow formulations are perfect in every way...I really can't think of any shortcomings!

The shades are SUPER pigmented and have very smooth application. I love how the dark brown and dark purple have glitter in them, i feel like it helps the eye shadows keep from looking flat. I definitely recommend purchasing this palette.

I'd put The Balm eyeshadows in the same category as Urban Decay - right pigment, bold colors and sexy neutrals, long wear. The extras you get by choosing the Balm over UD is less sparkles so your cheeks don't get frosted, and these are really huge palettes at such a great value. I took this palette with me on holiday last week and really came to love the bottom middle white shade - it is a pure white snow shade with lots of shimmer, perfect for highlighting any cool toned look. Also, the mauve on the middle far right is stunning. Applied with Benefit's Get Figgy cream shadow it makes a really pretty light eggplant blend. Like many other reviewers, I found this palette along with the other 2 at TJ Maxx for $12. But even if you can't get it at that discounted price, this palette is worth every penny.

I just bought the original leopard palette, this palette and the newest one at TJ MAXX!!! They were only $15 a piece so I grabbed all of them! They also had many other sets from this company marked down dramatically... just wanted to spread the word so you all can save some money.

Wearable shades & portable!

I love these palettes. I had Volume I and when I saw that 2 and 3 were available I used my VIB discount to get them both so I had all of them - I LOVE how sleek and thin these palettes are, while being sturdy and well made with a mirror. They're perfect for travel. In this one I particularly like the upper right taupe - it's a hard shade to find!
The only downside is that every shade has a shimmer finish. The colors in a single palette can be good for a finished look, but I usually have to go to another palette or to another shadow to get a matte crease shade. These are great quality - I recommend them! If they make more volumes, I will get them no matter what!

I love the colors, they have great pigmentation and are very pretty and shimmery, but I returned it cause I saw this and vol. 1 and vol. 3 at Marshalls for $12.99 each, I bought all 3. So excited!!

These colors are super pigmented without a primer, but they look even better and last longer (and don't crease) with a primer. Love the color variety, but I see myself reaching out to other eyeshadows to complete my look.
