Perfect cleansing oil
-05.14.13
Quick Take: milky
This cleansing oil is by far the best one I have ever used. It is not greasy at all, and removes makeups & dirts so easily without drying skin. My skin type is normal-combination, works great for me! I'll definitely stick with it from now on.

Gentle Deep Clean
-03.21.13
This is my go to makeup remover to get all my products off at the end of the day.
I find it gentle and moisturizing but doesn't break my skin out. The fragrance is very light and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I use this to get my eye makeup off as well.
The pump is very handy and the actual bottle is a great value as it last for months of daily use. I have lost count of how long a bottle lasts.

Sunscreen remover
-01.24.13
Quick Take: milky
I mainly use this to remove the shiseido sunscreen I use on my face (the stick one), which is hard to remove with just scrubbing with soap and water. It seemed weird at first when I used this oil because afterwards, my face felt hella greasy. But when splashed with water, the oil breaks down and turns kinda whitish, so when that's all washed away you know that all the sunscreen is gone. Before this, I felt like the sunscreen wasn't completely off my face and didn't want it to block my pores. My friend who recommended the sunscreen to me told me that I had to use this along with it to take it off. It makes my skin feel soft and smooth afterwards.

Where has this been all my life?
-09.03.12
Quick Take: exfoliating, milky, moisturizing, washes off easily, fully cleansing
For as long as I can remember (and that's a very long time), I have been frustrated by my inability to leave a bath or shower with my skin feeling fully cleansed. My main problem has been little rolls of dry skin that just keep coming and coming no matter how hard I scrubbed or how much lotion I put on before I showered or bathed.
This is the first product which has done it. The cleansing oil left my skin feeling smooth, completely clean and silky soft. And it's not even winter yet!
I recommend this very highly. I haven't used it for my face - when it said it was a body cleanser I grabbed it and jumped into the shower.
Now if only I can somehow obtain one of those deep Japanese bathtubs . . .

Best makeup remover ever
-06.26.12
I have oily sensitive skin that is pron to breakouts. Most of the makeup removers will make me break out and leave this oily feeling on my skin, but this one is just wonderful. No oily feeling and no breakouts the next day.

Thumbs up!
-06.13.12
I had to return Peter Thomas Roth Anti-aging cleansing gel as it was not right for sensitive skin. So I ended up getting this ultimate cleansing oil which was easy to use due to the pumping arrangement and also easy on my skin. Thumbs up.

it's doing its job well. I don't use a lot of makeup -- just the sunscreen, and this cleansing oil is not doing any harm. and it's inexpensive. Perfect for me.

Doesn't work
-05.23.12
I like Shiseido cosmetics, especially moisturizers, creams... but this product was disappointing... Simply, it doesn't work. I found most of the makeup was still on my face ;((

Great cleanser
-04.29.12
Quick Take: effective, cleansing
I bought this because people had recommended it as part of the double cleansing method, which was supposed to be good for unclogging pores. Since using this, my skin has felt cleaner and every bit of makeup has come off, despite my initial reluctance to oil up my already oily skin. I like how this smells and how a little goes a long way; the only downside is how messy the oil can get when you pump it as it can slip between your fingers. Fortunately, it comes right off with a rinse.

I seriously am in love with this cleanser! At first I was concerned because the word "oil" made me think it will clog my pores and cause more acne. But I was definitely wrong! I wear sunscreen on a daily basis and I use this prior to using my regular facial cleanser. It really does remove the sunscreen where any other non oil cleanser can't. Don't be afraid of the name, just give it a try and you'll know what I'm talking about!!! :)

Best make up remover!
-01.14.12
Quick Take: milky
I LOVE this cleansing oil! It removes all of my make up - including waterproof eye make up. My skin is clearing up beautifully. It doesn't leave my skin super tight or oily/greasy. I have oily skin and this has helped my skin tremendously. The smell is nice too. I've tried the Boscia, Josie Maran, and the Philosophy cleansing oils - they do not hold a candle to this one. Give it a shot.

Just Use Mineral Oil
-01.07.12
Quick Take: oily
This does the trick of gently removing water-resistant sunscreens and makeup because the primary ingredient is mineral oil. Buy straight mineral oil from the drugstore for the exact same results.
Per the directions, you should follow with a normal cleanser after using the oil to break down makeup/sunblock.

Super liquidy
-12.28.11
For the price, I'm not so sure it's a great idea. This oil is very liquidy, it makes a mess when you get it to your hands (drips all over). Got it to get rid of the water-resistant sunscreens I use. I've also tried using it to remove all makeup but it doesn't quite get all the eye makeup without an extra pump. I think it's a good idea but the viscosity needs to be increased. Kind of a rip off if you think about it. Skin doesn't really feel completely clean afterwards but maybe I'm just not used to the residue yet. Try a toner afterwards for best results (a clean feeling).

Amazing.

I've been using cleansing oils as a makeup remover since forever now...by far shiseido is my favorite brand. You get a good amount with the price. There are cheaper shiseido cleansing oils, but this one def is made for more sensitive skin. Love!

I use this every night to take off my makeup. I have seen a difference in using this with my cleanser. My cleanser never seemed to get off all my makeup. With the cleansing oil, I get all my makeup off and then follow up with my cleanser. I have combination skin, so I'm a little leery of just using the oil to wash my face. I'm on my second bottle.

Works well, but the ingredients are scary
-10.13.11
Quick Take: milky, fluid
It's very fluid, spreads on the face very well, and takes makeup and impurities out efficiently. However NOT pleasant if gets into the eyes or mouth, so requires extra risnging to avoid discomfort of "tasting" it.
It also contains mineral oil and a bunch of suspicious looking chemicals, which is a major concern.
I'll finish the bottle, but switch to a more natural analog in the future.
