Did I get a bad batch?

I had high hopes for this mascara, but was very disappointed. I bought the primer at my local store but they didn't carry the mascara so I had to order it online. It is so thick that it won't even cover the primer. The couple times I've tried it I had to use my Buxom mascara as a final coat because I could still see the white of the primer. I didn't see anyone else mentioning this problem so that is why I think I got a bad one.

What a shame! While this product is ecofriendly and full of natural goodness, it is much too dry. It was decent at the beginning, but it was difficult to get it to fully cover my lashes and it clumped. I kept up with it as I didn't want to waste my money and it sufficed but it never gave any improvement to my lashes - more likely I lost more lashes because I had to wipe if off hard at night. A few months in and now the product has dried out. So disappointed.

I have very pale lashes and this product does not help. It is difficult to apply, seems as if it is already dried out, and I just bought it. I don't notice any length difference. Disappointing.

Clumpy and Flaky

I wasn't a fan of this mascara at all. The formula seemed really think and it would clump on my lashes. Even after fixing the clump issue, I still had to deal with the flakes that would fall onto my cheeks during the day or even worse, into my eyes. Ouch!

My lashes look amazing

So, I can't say that it really increases the appearance of lash volume by 638%, but it is still really great. My lashes show up much better than they do with traditional mascara. The only thing stopping my from giving 5 stars is the fact that it is not waterproof. I use it with the MultiplEYE primer and love the results.

It's a very natural-looking mascara. If you're going for a simple, bare look, this mascara is best. It also REFUSES to clump, which is great!
For those who want very dramatic/thick lashes, this isn't the one! You should probably go with Buxom or Bad Gal for that, but if you're going for the barely there look, DEFINITELY a favorite.

My favourite mascara

I love this mascara! It's really thick but doesn't clump like you think it would. It layers really nicely, unlike a lot of thinner mascaras that either don't put enough product on or put too much and clumps. I found this mascara stays on really nicely, but if you get lazy and fall asleep with it on, it doesn't hurt your eyes. I have the eyeliner too and I love both!

I received a sample of this product, and decided to buy the full version in hopes that my sample was just old and dried out. No, the full-size tube was the same consistency and was very difficult to apply. I used this product for a little over a month, and gave up on it. It indeed did lengthen my lashes and although, I already have long lashes, I thought it would be fun to try. This product definitely did what it claims to do, lengthen lashes, but it is much too difficult to apply due to the dry, chalky, formula.

I just opened the mascara duo yesterday which I received free with my Sephora purchase and was most disappointed in that not only was it difficult to apply being that it was a chalky dry formula but it was almost impossible to remove. I tried it the second day with the same results.
Either I received a bad lot or the mascara just isn't all that great.
It is going into the trash bin shortly.

I received this in tandem with the #2 Primer from Tarte in a Sephora sample... They are my new favorite pair. Volumizing and lengthening. Get the #2 to use before it. I haven't tried the #1 but I can't imagine that Tarte is doing anything wrong. Thanks for the samples Sephora!!

After purchasing and liking Tarte's "Lights, Camera, Lashes!" mascara I figured I would give this tube a try. After buying it and trying it I've gotta say I feel like this mascara is just average. The formula is kind of dry and while that seems to give it staying power and it doesn't transfer onto my top lids after a humid day I'm not too sure about the claims on more volume and length. It doesn't under perform, but I didn't put it on and get blown away by the results. It's volumizing, but not extraordinarily so.

This mascara was way too dry. I don't know if it was just a bad tube or if that's how the formula is. In theory it's a great mascara because it does make you look like you have more lashes, but it took way to many strokes to get any kind of effect because of how dry it was. I ended up exchanging it for another mascara that is much better.
