Quick Take: lustre silky glimmer
I bought this product (believe it or not) after reading about it in a NYT article a year ago. I love the case and the smell of the glimmering balm. It goes on smooth and doesn't leave any traces on clothing (which is a big deal for me). If you are reluctant re: pricing don't worry this will last ya for awhile. I have medium brown skin and my legs had a nice lustre to them after using it...and not the baby oil kind.
I have one con and that is because I thought the Bathina would give me the Jada Pinkett bronzed and shimmery all over glow look which this product doesn't do. I need to take a trip to caribbean for the tan part but you get my drift :) It also doesn't last as long, roughly 4-5 hours which is fine (just a FYI). The great thing about the Benefit Bathina product is that it can be used all over the body and just not legs. Would I refer it to a friend? Yes!

Perfect for Spring and Summer

Like many other reviewers, I've been thinking about buying this product for a while, but I was hesitant about spending $30 on it. I purchased it once I got a gift card, and was surprised by how much I liked it. The smell is light and floral, and the product itself is velvety smooth on skin. It creates the appearance of smooth, hydrated skin, and makes the skin feel very soft, which I love. The sheen is great on legs especially, so I'm less afraid of wearing my skirts and dresses now. It does not last all day from what I've experienced - it lasts about 6 hours or so. As for the amount of product, the tin is pretty big, so it should last a lifetime. Packaging is adorable too, which is just another perk :)

I just wrote a detailed review below, but wanted to add my age (23) because I like to read reviews from women my age, and a picture for reference! I look pretty tan in it but I think that's my bathroom lighting. This will show up well on any skin tone IMO
I just put one streak down my arm. No multiple layers or buffing

I love unique products like this! It's so nice to have little fun beauty things to play with now and then.
I'm looking forward to summer festivals, and wanted to give my skin a healthy, sexy, natural glow. I always envied Victoria Secret Model's legs and red carpet radiance. This achieves that look so perfectly! I smooth it over my collar bones, shins and arms and feel ultra touchable.
It's subtle enough not to look like you rubbed grease all over yourself, but shows up enough so that you don't feel like you wasted your time. It has a lovely rosey smell that reminds me of playfulness rather than old ladies haha.
More pros:
-There's soo much! It will last a while.
-I've noticed it lasts at least 5 hours
-Packaging is so adorable and intriguing that my boyfriend (who has absolutely no interest in any of my products and thinks I'm silly for having so much) picked it off the bathroom counter and asked what it was haha

Quick Take: adorable, strong scented, cool packaging, cute
The tin is larger than I thought. And just like almost everyone else this was something sitting at the bottom of my wish list for a rainy day where I had some extra funds. I wouldn't buy it again as I think this will last my lifetime. Its not very powdery as I thought. Its more of a cream. I didn't find it as sparkly as some people did I thought it was more shimmery. There is a rosey smell to it but not super over bearing rose. I pick up some other floral notes. The tin is adorable. The little puff is great too. I'll have fun with it this Summer. I knocked a star off because the smell is a little intense. It will probably cover up your perfume, And also its a skin balm without spf. It did give my skin a-just-put-on-silky-lotion like feel which was pleasant.

Quick Take: not exactly sure? a perfume?
This is called a body balm, but it's really not. When I think of body balm, I think of a heavy moisturizer that almost forms a coccoon on my body to seal moisture in. This is hardly even a moisturizer, in fact I put lotion on beforehand and then put it on. I'm not really sure what its supposed to do except make your skin smell REALLY good. I wish they would have at least included some instructions on how to use it.

Over-powering Scent

I bought this several years ago and just purchased it again, forgetting what I didn't like about it the last time was the scent--which I find too strong, sweet and almost plastic smelling. However, I do like the texture of the product and the way it feels going on; but it's so subtle that it's neither moisturizing nor complexion-enhancing--at least not on me. Might work well for extremely fair complected people who don't mind the scent.

Quick Take: strong scent, cute packaging
I have been wanting to get this product for such a long time, and finally broke down and picked one up a few weeks ago. I'm still unsure how I feel about it though. The packaging is stunning - I adore the tin and the little puff, but... the shimmer/glimmer is very, very slight, which can be good for some people, but I was hoping for a little more to give my winter worn skin some 'oomph.' Also, the scent is very strong. I happen to like rosey scents, but this one is powerful. It does make your skin feel silky though and I am glad I have it, I'm just not sure if I would purchase again or not.

I have been debating about getting this product for years, literally. I always wanted it, but couldn't justify it until I got a Sephora gift card! I am pleased with my decision to get it. It does have a strong, rosey scent, so if that's not your thing, I would avoid this balm. I love the tin and the puff...So cute! The balm makes my arms look lovely, and it's very easy to apply.

Ok, this is basically a glorified hard perfume. It smells SO GOOD, and I put it on my neck and decollete. The scent lasts all day long. The product itself has little to NO shimmer power, shine power, etc. The only benefit I can see is the smell, but honestly, I would totally buy again just for that!

I have extremely mixed feelings about this product. Let me start off, it's not a bad product... It smells great (at least to me). Also, the "shimmer" and "glimmer" the product is supposed to give your body is not overwhelming (which some people prefer!).
I use it mostly on summer days, hoping it would help my legs or arms look healthier, slimmer, and moisturized, but I don't know how much it helps. Maybe it's all psychological? At least it smells good!

I love this stuff. Put it on your smooth legs and they'll look great. Smells great too, a nice, light floral scent. I will put it on my shoulders, clavicles and cleavage to subtly enhance. Lasts a long time. Totally worth it, in my eyes.

Quick Take: ineffective, scented
I've wanted this product since I was getting Benefit catalogs in the mail at 16. After reading the glowing reviews I decided that I would splurge and give it a try. Well, the scent isn't all that great: it isn't overpowering but it just doesn't smell light and pretty like I imagined. What really turns me off is that I am ghost white and this balm doesn't leave any kind of color or shimmer on me. All it did after shaving my legs was make it look like I had razor burn. I'm going to keep it because it's cute and I always wanted it, but you should definitely find a store that carries Benefit products and try it first.
