gentle but effective

Quick Take: gentle, clarifying
I have been using this product for 3 weeks once per night. It cleared up my active blemishes and even faded some old marks that I had. I use it all over my face not just as a spot treatment and notice my skin is clearer overall. I have sensitive skin and this did not cause any aggravation. Will definitely purchase again.

I love this stuff! It dries up big, bad pimples overnight and is not harsh on my skin. The tube has lasted over a year. I now us it as a serum on my breakout area (chin) and it keeps those nasty zits at bay.

Quick Take: exfoliating
I have very sensitive skin that is also oily and sometimes dry too. This gel will "zap" a pimple overnight and it's gentle enough to use everyday without over drying. I cannot get enough of this great stuff!

Imwasmusing murad products, but wasn't satisfied with the spot treatment product. Gave this a shot, and so far, it seems very effective. I notice a difference overnight.

This product is a bit pricey but the bottle is large and it lasts forever. I am now on my second bottle of GoClear cleanser and I still have plenty of this spot treatment left but I must say that I only use this treatment one week out of the month. ;)
It dries up most spots almost immediately but it doesn't really seem to help with larger acne spots. I don't know if I'll purchase it again because I suffer mostly from hormonal breakouts and it doesn't seem to help with that. I gave it 4 stars because I really like that ithas lasted so long and that it doesn't dry out my skin what-so-ever.

Why did I wait so long?

Seriously, I've had trouble with acne for a couple years. I thought I'd wash my face with organic cleansers, use no perfumed detergent on my clothes and bed items, stop eating greasy foods and limit cheese blah blah blah.
Every magazine article says it: wash twice a day, wear sunscreen, and use salicylic acid for trouble spots.
I finally did that, added it to my regimen and three months later I have much fewer blemishes coming up. There's still some stubborn spots; my chin, by my hairline.. so it's not 100% but it has helped dramatically.
I have oily skin so I immediately started using it 2x a day and had no dryness or peeling problems, there's also no chemical burn feeling when you apply it. You need less than a dime size to cover your whole face and it doesn't flake off when you add your foundation or moisturizer.

This gel feels light on the skin, no tightness, itchiness, etc. My skin seems to be clear. Only complaint that using twice a day, this tube runs out pretty quickly.

This works great on pimples that pop up out of nowhere; it clears them up in no time. Don't use too much because it is pretty drying, even on me and I have really oily skin.

I've been using this product on a blemish that I had for about 10 days prior to use. It is now 2 weeks into daily usage and I still have the blemish. Also have been using it on tiny whiteheads with no improvement. However, at least the blemishes have not gotten bigger and the one I was worried has been *slowly* getting smaller. I just wonder where I would be if I hadn't used it. However, if after the blemish is gone and I do not have a dark spot (which I have after EACH AND EVERY BLEMISH that pops up on my face), I will change my review to 5 stars.

I've been using this and the other GoClear products for about 3 weeks and my skin is finally looking good! At first I thought that any 2% Salicylic Acid was the same (and that I could get away with a cheaper, drugstore brand) but I think the proof is in how much this has changed my skin. I haven't had any new breakouts since I started using it. I'm a believer.

I put this gel on before my daily moisturizer. I tend to breakout around my neck area during the winter time because I wear collars and scarfs. This product helps prevent pimples and soothes existing acne. Too much of it will flake off, though.

I've tried everything for acne and nothing helps. So I order a Philosophy's Joy of Great Skin set and while I was in the store I asked one of the girls what I could use with this set to help treat my acne. OMG This is the best my skin has been in forever. While my acne is not completely gone I havent had breakouts like usual. And it didn't cause that initial breakout like most other products. I would advise to get a good moisturizer (like hope in a jar by Philosophy) because it is a little drying.
