Worth for the spot treatment -- truly different

Quick Take: gentle formula, unique
Lets face it. The acne cleanser is a basic salicylic acid cleanser -- it's good, but you can get it anywhere.
The reason to get this set is the spot treatment. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid treatments dont work for me. This treatment uses precipitated sulfur. I exfoliate my skin, cleanse it, then use the spot treatment on any pimples. Usually one treatment is all I need to make a nasty breakout disappear. It is important to exfoliate before using--the product will penetrate and do its job better.

Within ONE day my skin was less oily and most of my blemishes were gone. It is great at preventing them also. The sulfer zit zapping cream smells a little strong, but does a great job. It does not dry my skin out either.

I love Murad products but was not happy with these. They're too drying. The pimple cream was so drying that it made my zits worse. The pimple cream dried the skin that was on top of my zits so much and did nothing for the pimples themselves so in the end I still had them but with a thick layer of dry skin on the top. This made them stay even longer than what my pimples usually stay and no matter what I tried I really couldn't do anything about it. I really don't break out much at all. I get the occasional pimple or two every now and then when it's that time of month, but this made those pimples stay on much longer than what they usually would stay. I was better off applying no zit cream at all.
The face wash was ok but also drying. I could only use it once every other day or my face would dry out too much. I would not purchase either of these products again. I'll just stick to my clarasonic and philosophy face wash. I did not use this face wash with the clarasonic, and it still dried me out.

Too Drying

Quick Take: drying, causes breakouts.
I bought this because I was looking for a good face wash for acne, before I found the Kate Somerville line. The face wash dried out my face really bad and then it caused me to beak out and the acne cream didn't clear up any of the zits. I stopped using it right away and everything cleared up. I will never use this again.

Bought this when I realized I forgot to pack some face wash and acne treatment. I like the face wash, feels like it isn't tough on my sensitive skin but still gets the job done.

This stuff is awesome, at 56 I still struggle with acne and from time to time I really need a blast of something powerful to clear up my face and this does the trick! You do need to use a moisturizer as it dries as it cures.

I have had a really bad breakout recently, Nuetrogena Skin ID stopped working for me, so I cancelled that. I tried Bliss "No Zit Sherlock", and that didn't do anything for me. But this, I've noticed resutls right away. I had one huge pimple coming in, and I used this before I went to bed. The very next day it was significantly smaller in size.I have only been using this kit for a few days and I am going to continue using this product. So far, so good.

I have super sensitive skin, and i'm extremely allergic to benzoyl peroxide. I tried this because I heard it was good for sensitive skin, plus many people referred me to it. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and i see some subtle (awesome) changes in my horrible skin, that i haven't seen when using other products! i'm definitely going to get the bigger sizes. oh and make sure to moisturize after! (i use cliniques dramatically different lotion) this product is very drying if you're not careful!

Quick Take: terrible
The cleanser made me start breaking out immediately. When the spot treatment was applied, it only aggravated my skin more. I really like Murad products typically; however, these products are a complete failure. I wish Sephora would give me my money back because neither of the products in this kit live up to (or come remotely close) to what they have been advertised to do. This purchase was a complete let-down.

I am way past the age when pimples should be a problem, but I found myself in dire straits 3 weeks ago. All of a sudden I had ugly red pimples all over my cheeks, cheekbones, and temples! I panicked and ran to Sephora, where I spent an hour looking at all their acne products (and they have a lot). I settled on this since it was Murad (a name I respect) and small enough not to break my budget. I also liked the fact that it had sulphur in addition to salycitic acid. I figured I needed the extra help. Well, sure enough - worked like a charm. Within 3 days my face looked TONS better, and I didn't have to go out loaded up with cover-up.

This product smells horrible and is way too small for it's price, however it DOES work. my acne is clearing up. I have tried MANY different acne treatments but this one is actually working! Im willing to deal with the smell if it gets rid of my acne

I PURCHASED THIS FOR MY FIFTEEN YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND SHE HAD A BURN LIKE REACTION. THAT BEING SAID, SHE IS VERY FAIR SKINNED AND ALOT OF PRODUCTS HAVE THAT EFFECT ON HER. I HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL ITEMS FROM SOPHORA AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN 100% SATISFIED UNTIL THIS ONE. I WAS HOPING THIS WOULD WORK. BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME I GUESS.

I can't remember how much this was- I hope not a lot though. I bought it primarily for the acne treatment gel. They're both travel size but if your spot treating acne then the treatment will last you a good while.
To be honest this isn't going to get rid of zits immediately but will help clear them up.
The cleanser has mint in it so careful around the eyes.
Not bad but not life altering either. I think I prefer some of the other murad products. Like refreshing cleanser and the pomegranate moisturizer.

I use the cleanser in the morning and evening it gets everything off of my face. I have sensitive skin so I usually break out in hives but this product doesn't make me break out at all. My skin is usually clear but lately I have been breaking out. After using this my skin is back to its normal clear state. :)
