This is my ultimate tool now as i have long heavy pretty much straight hair. I am able to have pin straight hair and absolutely lovely bouncy curls as well. I never thought id be able to get beat of both with this one tool. And did i mention its super quick!!??!! Way quicker than using a curling iron. Def happy with my purchase. Another important point, atleast for me is that it has universal voltage which means i can travel anywhere and pack light by having only one tool :)

Absolute Perfection!

When my previous straightener went on me, I started shopping around for a quality straightener to replace my old one. When I read about the Seductress, I was a little reluctant to pay so much for a straightener, when there are models available for a third of the price, but nevertheless I bought it, and I was not disappointed!! I have very fine hair, which is easily frazzled, but I have lots of it! So I needed something that could conquer my mass of hair without cooking it. One pass is all it takes, and my hair become poker straight and smooth as silk! I love how quickly it heats up, and the sleek design, is definitely attractive. Overall, I'd say money very well spent!

The Sultra products are increidble. The Sultra blowdryers work so fast and the hiar straightener and curling irons are incredible, they don't seem to damage the hair at all, and do a beautiful job.
I like how long the cord is too, that makes a big difference and they are comfortable to use, and absolutely do a great job, smoothing out the hair or curling the hair with not so much effort and no damage to the hair.
My two daughters and I really love them!

Quick Take: the best straight iron for frizzy hair!
I was skeptic trying a new straight iron, because my hair is curly, frizzy, yet soft and fine. My worry was if the iron would damage my hair.My hair has been nothing, but silky straight with no frizz. My hair does not seem overworked or stressed from the iron. The options for fine, normal to coarse gives the stylist enough heat to meet the needs of the hair. Iron heats up in a flash!!! This is a Keeper!!! Compared to other straightners (GHD, etc), this was a better choice!!! And, the iron curls like a dream!!!

My favorite straightener

I have very thick coarse middle eastern hair that's curly/ wavy. I have used many straightening irons but they either take a long time to use or they don't make my hair super straight.
I love this because it takes 20 seconds to heat up. Before I would leave my iron on while I did my makeup just to make sure it was hot. And if my hair was slightly damp I could hear it crackle and sizzle, with this I get a little steam but it dosent damage my hair.
It also dosent pull out a bunch of hairs when I use it which was a big pet peeve of mine with an old straightner. Hellooo! I want to straighten my hair not pluck it out lol
Lastly, it makes my hair soooo soft and shiny. People are always complImenting me on how shiny and soft it is. It's also lightweight not clunky or heavy and the swivel cord makes life easier when switching sides.

It DOES repair!

I was reticent to purchase yet another hair straightening iron after spending money on all the other high end ones over the years (Chi, GHB, etc...) but this one truly is different.
I have curly, unruly, dry hair and upon the first use my hair looked and felt completely different. It felt like silk and was actually shiny! For me personally the best part is that I am finally able to tame my stubborn cowlick and get close to to my scalp and it takes less than half the time it did previously to straighten my hair which is past my shoulder blades.
In terms of the straightener mending damaged hair I have some clip in human hair extensions that are extremely damaged. I thought for the heck of it I would see what would happen if I used the straightener on them. I am shocked to report that these extensions look fantastic. They were unwearable previously from heat damage from my Chi and now I can use them again. If that is not proof positive that this iron mends, I do not know what is!

High Price ~ Poor Quality

When Sultra first arrived at Sephora about 3 years ago, it was a real hit with the staff (including me) for it's styling versatility and the smooth results we all got regardless of our hair type. So when my wonderful T3 finally dies after 5 excellent years of service, I knew the Sultra would be my choice. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Since that time, they've changed their manufacturing and it's now made with cheap plastic and the handle was too hot to touch, yet the plates didn't get hot enough to qualify as a 'single pass' iron. For the $$, I expect excellent quality and a solid performer. This doesn't come close.

This is going to be a long review! I have thick, long, wavy hair. I always have to straighten or curl it because it is OUT OF CONTROL. My waves are never ever tamed and basically I have BIG hair. So, for years I used a cheap hair iron (Belson, Gold n Hot) (which is not for my hair type)and every year when the plates burned out I bought a new iron. I didn't know that wasn't supposed to happen. I didn't know that the iron I was using was DAMAGING my hair so much, that it was starting to FALL OUT!!!!!!! So There inspires my search for "THE PERFECT IRON." The reviews of the fellow Sephora Beauties inspired me to purchase this iron. I relied solely on their reviews and I thank them all!!! Even the bad reviews which were only a handful compared to the 100+ 5 star reviews. That says it all. I consulted with my Sephora "go to" guy and he said YES! Buy it! it will be a good investment for you! SO, I bought it today. I came home from a windy rain storm and my hair was an absoulute mess. But I was very excited and pulled out my new iron and tried it on a few strands. I was more than impressed. It only took one pass to get it pin straight. So I washed my hair and dried it and I tried the iron ALL OVER. I have smooth, silky hair. I have been doing a lot of damage to my hair so I don't have too much shine but I am confident it will be back with my new iron! So, what about waves and curls? Ok I don't like the waves this is supposed to make, they l look unnatural. You see it on You tube, its not good! The curls are ok. However, I have the Sultra One inch BombShell and that gives you the sexiest wavy hair, looks beautiful. You can get beautful curls too.
So what are cons? NOT So great for waves but WHO CARES!!!!

I've got the Sultra as Valentine's gift from my hubby! Amazing hair iron! It's perfect for thick hair. I have a lot of hair and the Sultra straightens my hair in 15 mins! Sultra leaves your hair shiny and soft too :)! I have a CHI and always left my hair frizzy and it took me longer to do my hair! I'm never going back to the CHI! You will not regret getting this hair iron :D

I never review anything but I had to show my love for this product! Totally worth every penny, especially if you have thick, wavy long hair that is hard to straighten. I haven't tried to use it for waves or curls yet but it straightens like a dream!

This flat iron is a very good investment, hair looks very sleek and shiny BUT do not expect miracles, I have pretty and healthy hair and still does not make my hair look like the best in the world. I am not sure if it helps to not damage hair a lot, but it definetely leaves it very sleek and adds a little shine. However I do not like that after I use it, my hair smells like flat iron, i guess it is because of the ceramic plates, because I also have the T3 and have not experimented that with it since is made out of tourmaline plates.

Quick Take: amazing makes your hair silky soft heats quickly
I absolutely love this flatiron! My GHD had some wiring issues so I need to repurchase a new one and decided to try a different brand. I never knew how silky hair could become after using this beauty. I have fine hair and I love that you can switch the dial to fit your hair needs. The dial switches to fine, normal and thick. I feel my hair is always in need of hydration though I haven't had any problems at all using this. It keeps my hair straight up to 3 days too! :D

Totally worth buying

I got this for christmas and since day one i fell in love. I love how it straights my hair so perfectly. When im done my hair looks like i've been in the hair salon ;D The only thing i dislike is the smell of the flatiron when its heated ,it smells like burnt plastic. But besides dat i really recommend this product. .. oh nd i havent tried curling my hair with the sultra since i have a busy schedule but looks like it curls perfectly just takes practice.

My hair is thick and the length is right under my butt (I am 5"6). This straightener makes my hair shiny and soft and so straight! I haven't used to curl yet since my hair is naturally curly and wavy but its a great product. I do wish it were more inexpensive but it comes with a two year warranty so it's great! I use it in combination with A heat protectant and the shampoo I use is Lush Godiva bar and Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner.

Quick Take: the best
I have tried lots of brands( GHD professional, Cloud 9, etc) and the Sultra the Seductress is by far de best one. It does all it claims to do so there is no false advertising there. I have bleached blond hair so quite damaged and dry but this flat iron did not do any further damage. I have actually seen my hair getting a lot shinier , healthier looking and the style held better when styled with the Sultra the Seductress.
I am so happy with this flat iron. Too bad that I have a GDH and Cloud 9 as backup flat irons for when I travel because I would buy another Sultra the Seductress as a back up.. .
I would definitely recommend this one over anything else.
