self-tanner blues
-04.07.13
This is no different from any other self tanner -- If you're not super careful, you end up with streaks and blotches. Plus, even though I went to bed an hour after it dried, it ended up on my sheets. The color was nice, but I would not buy this again. If you're into self-tanners, the ones at the supermarket work just as well. Its only plus is that it doesn't smell

Don't be afraid
-04.05.13
Looks really dark when you are applying it. For light skin - mix with a little moisterizer and then apply. Like any self tanner: careful around toes and knees. Nice, real color; I even use it on my face, and I have oily skin. I like this better than the best drug store self tanner - better color.

Mixed Feelings
-03.23.13
I was really excited to get this product. I am extremely white and I have wanted to start getting tanner, but with out going to tanning beds and lying out, etc. so I decided to try this lotion based off the reviews and ratings. First of all, I really like the smell. It's a tropical smell. The lotion is very very dark when applying to your skin which helps you see where you have missed (which is nice). The first night I got this, I was nervous to try it so I only did my legs. The intial color was a nice bronzy, golden color. Very nice I thought. So after applying, I went to bed. When I woke up and took a shower the next morning I looked down and OMG, my legs were streaky where the color was washing off. I washed it all off while being extremely disappointed considering I was under the impression the color lasted atleast a few days. When I got out of the shower I was a happy to see that my legs, although not as colored as when I first put the lotion on, was still tanner than they normally would have been. Which is a plus. I just put some on my arms and after I was finished, I washed my hands which washed the color off around my wrist and water streaked down on my forearm leaving a very very very obvious color difference. Perhaps since I'm still new to self tanning I don't know certain tricks but I just don't think it's really worth the price...good thing I got it on sale.

Comes off easily
-03.08.13
The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because it did gave me a deep/dark color fast in just 2 applications. Other than that, the self tanner comes off everywhere...your clothes, when you go wash your hands, after working out or sweating, or even on the sheets when sleeping! It also had a gross self tanner smell my boyfriend couldn't stand! It would be good for a one time use or special occasion but not for everyday. Luckily it was on sale..

Tan in a bottle
-02.25.13
I have tried so many self tanning lotions that left me streaky or orangey... If that's a word. Nothing seemed to work until I gave Sevin Nyne a try. I love it , love it, love it. It gave me an instant tan and glow and seemed to dark in up my pigmentation by the hr. It comes off like magic so you never would even know you had it on after 6 or so hours. If your looking to tan for just one night or the weekend I would definitely get this.

Great Product
-02.16.13
Quick Take: as advertised
Pleasantly surprised with this self-tanning product. Color is natural and it's easy to apply. The effect is instant! You do have to wash your hands immediately after application, but it comes off easily with soap and water. No adverse scent! Will definitely
purchase this product again.

Sevin Nyne tanning lotion
-01.30.13
I was so excited to recieve this product because of all the great reviews I read on it... and sadly I was really disappointed! Everyone was right about the natural glow and that it doesn't stain clothes... but the only thing that ruined this product for me is that even after you've applied it and several hours pass, and you accidentmy get water on yourself the product will run and streak... it is a great product if you don't plan on being anywhere near water because a tiny splash will be really noticeable. I would defiantly not re purchase.

Not what I expectd
-01.26.13
Quick Take: not a convenience self-tanner
Very messy. Looks good after you go through the process of putting it on but... you have to wash it off because it is like dirt and comes off on everything. If you have the time to put it on and sit home and wash it off a few hours later than I would give it a go. If you want to put it on after your shower and get dressed than I would give it a miss.

This lotion smoothes in really well and I had no streaks, but it washes off the first time. It also rubbed off on my clothes quite a bit throughout the day.

gross
-01.21.13
pros: I was tanned after use.
neg: there was something wrong with this lotion, it was lumpy and seemed like tanning agents were separated from lotion agents in the bottle. no amount of shaking could make it a smooth lotion. super gross texture. don't waste your money on this one.

easy to apply, good smell
-01.19.13
This was my first time using a real self tanner. This one is super easy to apply and it smells really good. The only thing is that you definitely need to use gloves because it stains your hands easily and it does not come off that easy.

Not what I expected...
-01.18.13
Maybe I got a bad one but mine wasn't mixed even after shaking it... the oil seperated from the lotion in it so it was hard to put on without it being streaky. It is VERY dark coming out of the bottle and made me look like I had dirty skin. I had to wash it off before it would stain me since it says it continues to darken for a couple hours. I am sad it didn't work as I planned but at least I bought it on sale.

Eh...it's okay
-01.02.13
I don't typically use self tanners. I figured why not give it a try. It worked ok. It smelled bad and left some streaks (better though than some aerosol self tanners). Next time I'm just going to buy a good book and sit outside instead.

Worth Trying
-01.02.13
Quick Take: effective
Mixed feelings about this one. It's a very dark, syrupy product and I found it difficult to apply. You have to work quickly, and immediately scrub your hands. The smell is unpleasant, but disappears quickly. I wouldn't leave the house with this on my face - ever! Pros: after a shower, or post face washing, it looks great...and no funny self tanner odor. I will continue to use this product.

True Brown with No Orange
-12.18.12
This bronzer has no hint of orange and smells wonderful! It doesn't have that typical "penny" smell after you have it on for a couple of hours either. I mix it with a little bit of moisturizer so it spreads easier.

Does the job
-11.29.12
I'm not a well-experienced self-tanner by any means, this is probably the third one I've tried over the last two years - the other two being spray-on's.
I did not purchase it for the smell (the spray-on ones are probably preferred if smell is a problem), but the smell isn't atrocious. It starts out nice, but as you rub it in, the smell kind of made me scrunch my nose.
The dark color and thick texture is great because you can really see where you're applying it. This can be problematic because if you don't rub it in pretty quickly, color can be uneven - so rub it in quick!. I've read other reviews that suggest mixing it with lotion, but I didn't have that problem. I also didn't have any problem with color transfer onto clothing. It was a bit difficult to get off my hands afterwards, so I would suggest using gloves.
Overall, worth the money once it was on sale - I definitely wouldn't have paid full price for it.
