Perfect for pale skin

Quick Take: kat von d tattoo eraser, perfecetion in a stick
Just got my first eraser today to cover a 21 year old tattoo that I is on my upper forearm close to the shoulder. I can cover it with short sleeves but have been self conscious about wearing sleeveless things for years. This with a little powder and 3 applications worked wonderfully. My only caution is that my tat has lightened make coverage easier.

doesn't cover up
-04.19.13
Quick Take: too greasy
I bought this with the tattoo concealer and layered it as directed, but it didn't seem to set properly. When the concealer was applied over it, the tattoo showed through again. I tried it again with just the concealer, and it seemed to "stick" a little better, but it just doesn't seem to work that well. Ironically, I am trying to cover up a tattoo by Kat Von D for a wedding.

Works great!

I have tattoos but I didnt buy it to cover them up. I use it for the occasional dark under eye circles and bruises I get from my roosters.

And for dark eye circles...
-04.06.13
This pencil does what it claims, I can hide my tattoos with it. I can also hide my under eye circles. I've had them since I was a teenager and they are my insecurity. I don't see them at all when I use this pencil with the Kat VonD foundation.

Works better than expected on black.
-02.19.13
Quick Take: thick, easy to use, covering
This is a great color and texture as a base concealer for a black tattoo. I couldn't find anything that worked as well. I used Ben Nye concealer and foundation over this, so I have not tried the Kat Von D tattoo cover up.

Great for dark circles!
-10.07.12
It makes me sad to see poor reviews for this product because it makes me look like I had a full nights sleep! I apply right on the dark areas, let it rest for a minute, then gently tap the concealer on. Do not rub! It really does the trick on under-eye shadows and dark circles.

Awesome for under eye dark circles!!!
-09.24.12
I don't have any tatoos, but I do have a demanding schedule and this leads to dark under eye circles....this pencil is a miricale worker!!! Literally I just pencil and blend a bit under my eyes and I instantly look like I've had a very good nights sleep! I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone looking to diminish those under eye circles. It is one of the best beauty products I have bought in a while!!!

not worth the money
-09.07.12
Quick Take: not worth the money
Not happy with this at all. the pencil says to apply and let sit for 15 seconds before applying the tattoo concealer. i waited 20 minutes. just to be sure. after 20 minutes, it still felt kind of tacky. sticky. not dry. i applied the tattoo concealer anyway, and it wiped off immediately. now, I purchased this product to conceal tattoos. which it did NOT do. it may work for scars or imperfections, but is pointless as a step to cover tattoos. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. the only reason I'm giving this one star is because i HAD to.

It works fine
-08.17.12
Its not supposed to cover your tattoo.
Like another reviewer said, it is to lighten the pigment of the tat.
I have two tats on my ankles and need them covered for work. One is solid black and the other black outline with blue shading.
I have to use layers of things to completely cover. I start with this which helps immensely. Then I layer concealer, foundation, color powder then translucent powder to set.

Thin
-07.19.12
Quick Take: light
This "Tattoo Eraser" is too thin and does not "erase" any of the tattoo. I used it with the other recommended product and IT DID NOT COVER MY TATTOO UP & IT CAME OFF!!!!!! Super disappointed and bummed.

Not so bad
-06.18.12
This works quite well but you need to let it dry and it glides off the skin easily. Defenitely needs to let it "set" before using concealer on top.

Wipes off easily
-06.02.12
Quick Take: kat von d tattoo pencil eraser
Wipes off too easily. But,covers dark spots well as a pre-concealer (under concealer) on face too, not just tattoos. Content, but not totally impressed with it.

Works wonders without the mess!
-03.26.12
Quick Take: water resistant, opaque coverage, fast-drying
If anyone has art done in black ONLY - not shading, not line work, but the entire piece - you will understand how difficult it is to make them disappear for those major office meetings and company end of year parties. They can also get in the way for a good job interview in the middle of the summer.
Without this pencil, most of my attempt at covering the large pieces I have turned out to be a complete disaster. Imagine trying to cover Van Gogh's Starry Night with grey watercolor paint. Although this takes time, patience, and a few applications, this product definitely does the job. I use this in combination with the tattoo concealer and my own foundation and powder. I know it sounds like the pencil should be pointless if I am using all the other products, but - I promise - this helps so much. It turned a huge black only piece into my skin tone. I will admit if someone were staring and scrutinizing my tattoo for half a hour, they will be able to tell that there's a tattoo, but I highly doubt anyone stares at my chest for that long without both parties feeling fantastically awkward.
My friend has actually been borrowing it to cover some scars on her back. Needless to say, it works just as well.
A few pointers:
-watch out for clothing and other items during application; the pencil is difficult to get out without some scrubbing.
-you might want to apply more than one layer (switching between concealer and eraser) for the best disguise.

Critical step in Covering Tattoos!
-02.27.12
Quick Take: water resistant, fast-drying
This product does wonders in covering tattoos! I work at a Sephora and I use this all the time when clients come in wanting to cover tattoos. This product should not be used alone! It will just look silly if you just cover it with the pencil. It is intended to be used with the tattoo concealer. The pencil just helps neutralize the darkness of the tattoo and then the concealer helps cover the rest.
Aslo, great for using on eyes as a brightener on the waterline or covering moles or beauty marks.

-02.05.12
Quick Take: tough, hard
I tried the product on in the store and found it to be way to tough and hard for skin. ESPECIALLY for the under-eye area. Its definitely not not worth $15. Its pretty much almost equivalent to a crayola light pink colored pencil. Dont waste your money.

I'm a big fan of Kat Von D products but this one I did not like. Don't waste your money. It doesn't do what it says it should.

So-so
-01.20.12
I'm only giving this product 2 stars instead of 1 or zero because I was able to find a use for the pencil, other that its intended use. I bought this as well as the tattoo concealer and spray and followed the exact steps... it does not "erase" or even conceal a tattoo very well. It makes the tattoo look like a scary mis-colored deformity/blob.
The use that I did find for it however, is as a mole/beauty mark concealer. I have a few flat moles/beauty marks that I sometimes like to cover and this does do a good job of neutralizing their color to match my skin.
