Quick Take: long lasting
Color didn't seem to last for very long in the container, but does last pretty long on the lips; disappointed since it was a little pricey and I bought one in the store and ordered one on-line. Also was not as moist as I thought; had to use Infinity Cream Intensive Creamy Oil.

Quick Take: long lasting
Precise, bold color. The more you apply the more potent the color. It lasts a looooong time. I advise a clear Chapstick to accompany though. I think the color is a burnt orange undertone, but can get pretty red if you apply a lot. I love it.

Quick Take: non-drying, long lasting
Josie Maran has one of the best lip stains around. This lip stain does not dry out your lips. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the pen itself dries out after about 5 weeks.

Use with Argan Oil - And you won't be dissapointed

Quick Take: non-drying, long lasting
I couldn't live without these natural stains. I have my favorite colors depending on the time of year, and they never let me down. That said, I think you have to really apply them after you have applied argan oil, especially to cheeks, which I do anyway, but for people who have stated they are dry, or dry too quickly to blend, that's the trick!

Quick Take: long lasting
My only complaint is that it dries too fast to use as a cheek stain, can't blend it. As a lip stain it lasts much longer than any I've used before. Color is vibrant and somewhat louder than in photos.

Very strong color!

Quick Take: non-drying, long lasting, strong color
I got the Flamenco color, and its much more vibrant than I expected! I still love it, though. :) I usually wear Urban Decay lipstain in Envious, and I expected that type of effect. However, the Josie Maran lipstain has a much more dense "opaque" color whereas the Urban Decay is more of a "sheer" lip stain. I am ordering the Jive (pink-coral) Joseie Maran stain today, because I think that would be very nice for a daytime Spring/Summer look. I'll keep the Flamenco color for evenings though! :)

I love this product. The color is perfect for my skin tone. It can be applied light or layer it on for a more intense color. Super easy to use, stays within your lip line and the color stays while eating and drinking.

My mom originally pursed this lip stain but ended up giving it to me.
Great lip product .... if you don't have too many lines/wrinkles on the lip otherwise it will expose it.
The stain worked will for me not so much for my mother - I would prefer this stain alternatively to Benefits Benetinit.
Not drying, good color pay off.
The color range wasn't too impressive, but if your not a lip product hoarder its a good buy .

This product is a bit decadent in terms of pricepoints, and I wouldn't say $20 is justifiable for what it is for me: a lip stain. But I do use it and it does last. The mambo looks great as a red lipstick base and I haven't found the same issues as others have mentioned with the tip breaking apart. The "ink" in it is getting a little low after a dozen uses, but I'm pleased with this purchase.

I was disappointed with this lip stain. It did not last long at all and then balled up on my lips. I had high hopes because I like the other offerings from J. Maran but this is not amongst their elite. There are far better lip stains on the market at a fraction of the cost.

Quick Take: long lasting, vibrant color, easy application
I just bought this stain in Jitterbug. I immediately put it on, and was wowed! The color is a lovely pink, good enough for everyday. It's smooth, and super easy to apply. This stain stays on through the whole day of eating, drinking, and even dog kisses! It is drying, but a little balm is not so difficult. I would totally recommend this product, in fact, I've bought another color, Flamenco, today!

I use this nearly everyday in quickstep. It is near enough to my natural color that it is not obvious I am wearing lipcolor, but brightens my lips and makes things look naturally prettier. very long lasting color, easy to apply, and my favorite workwear.

I was very disapointed with the Magic Marker Lip & Cheek Stain. I just tried it on my lips several times and it made my lips very dry. It was hard to apply. You had to press hard to get the color to come out.

While this Magic Marker is defined as lip & cheek, it's really for the lips (the tip doesn't provide for easy cheek coverage). I'm fair skined so I tried the Cha Cha" which is perfect. I will definitely be trying another color soon.
