Streaky but smells good

This streaked really badly on me. The color was nice and it smelled delicious (like chocolate) but it's tough to apply evenly. It looked like it went on fine but two days later, the streaks showed up.

What happened to the old Big Skinny? I loved the old stuff. With this new big skinny, I had to use it once a day for about a week just to see a little difference and I have super pale skin. Wasted a good portion of this product without great results. Just a waste of money really, for me anyway.

strong smell

This seems to work as a self-tanner about as well as a regular drugstore brand - a little orange-y. Don't notice any firming. I really don't like it because of the strong butterscotch smell but I should have known that something from Philosophy would have too strong/sweet of a smell for me.

Quick Take: gradual, even
I found applying in small areas works best. You really have to make sure that you're rubbing it in evenly or it can turn out streaky. Once I figured out how to apply it properly on myself I am quite happy with the product. It does develop a nice, even and gradual tan.

Quick Take: works
I get a pretty nice tan from this product but it seems to give me a "sheer" tan. Though i get a nice natural tan without any streaks, my veins seem to still be visable. The chocolate smell is a nice touch, but over time you can still smell that slight self tanner smell.

Does not leave streaks and is easy to use. It has not come off on my clothes and only takes a couple of minutes to dry enough to dress. Also, it smells like cocoa pudding instead of like a self-tanner. However, if you are looking for a serious or even a semi-serious tan, this product is not for you. I've used it 9 of the lat 13 days and have a nice glow but not a real tan. Half of the bottle is gone and I haven't achieved the tan possible with otc products with a third the price.

Quick Take: as advertised reliable and effective!
I have to say, I do miss the old skinny, that applied instant color (almost like wearing nylons, but natural, even, pretty color). So, I tried this one, given my positive experiences in the past. It works! I noticed no streaks, its easy to wash off my hands, and no odor!

Very pleased w/this product and delivered exactly what I expected as a self-tanning cream. No visible results on the firming feature however. Overall, would highly recommend it as a self-tanner product.

Quick Take: easy to use
This is the first self tanner I've ever used, so I don't have much to compare it to. It didn't smell bad at all, there was no greasy feeling to it, & the color was nice & subtle without being too orange. After a few applications it did streak a tiny bit, but I blame that more on myself than the actual product. I haven't been using this product for very long & don't use it every day, but I do love how it makes my legs look like they have some color.

Quick Take: the one
It's all good, believe all of the positive reviews:) I have used self tan products For Ever..... (even QT when I was young)!!! Minutes after applied it absorbs and dries, you might even forget that you applied it because the foul smell of most self tan products is missing. It's been a few hours since my first application and the color is a very subtle shade darker but definitely natural, and i used a modest amount. I love that it's light and smooth, other self tan lotions are sticky and almost humid even several hours after being applied. It will be easy to apply as often as I like because I won't have to plan on how long I will have to walk around in my underwear before I can get dressed!!!! Nice tan, Great summer, thank you Philosophy

Quick Take: streaky, slimy
First let me say I am a huge philosophy fan! i use their entire skin care line religiously, The first few times i used this product, it gave a nice color, but after using it 3-4 times it gave horrible streaks. The product also doesn't seem to absorb fully into the skin. I always feel the product coming off the next day in the shower, Its kind of a slimy feeling when it washes off. Not a great Philosophy product.

Quick Take: fantastic
This is the best self-tanner I have ever used, and I have used a lot of them. It goes on smoothly, dries fast, looks natural and doesn't have that awful smell that most tanners have. I love how smooth my legs feel!

Quick Take: smells great
You know how most self tanners have that awful smell, well this is the first that I have found that does not. I am so very sensitive to scents, this truly does smell like cocoa. Takes a few times use to see the results, but it is worth it. Highly recommend!

This lotion is very rich but blends very well into the skin so you really only need a bit. I started noticing color within the first 2 uses (once at night after showering then in the morning). Now i use it every other morning ! Like with all other self tanners you have to make sure you blend it in very well so it wont streak but if you use way more than you need itll steak no matter what ! However I do wish it would come in a larger tube for 30$

I love this- it is everything you want in a firming cream and from a great brand. The tanning part is not too over the top, so you dont have to worry about looking orange :)
Not too moisturizing, though...but I guess that makes it less greasy.
