I asked for oil cotrol primer and that product was strongly recomended by NARS sells person, soppose to smooth and minimize pores.....nope it does not....and my face still oily....

Would have been "day 1" but I'm such a skeptic. I have fine lines around my eyes, nose and mouth, but you wouldn't know it after I apply the NARS Skin Smoothing Face Prep. Just a single light application and it melts right into my problem areas allowing my foundation to glide right over the top. This leaves my skin feeling fantastic all day (12 hours from when I put it on until I get home from work). Silky smooth (no dry patches!) and a very radiant finish.
I use a little on the end of my nose, between my brows and on my chin and PORES NO MORE!
Don't let the little container fool you. You only need a dab. I use my "ring finger" instead of a brush to not waste any product. Face Prep does not need a special brush, so just use your free, God given applicator for best results. The ring finger applies the least pressure of all your fingers (medical study, not personal opinion) so I don't worry about causing future damage to an already sensitive area.
I use Face Prep all the way up to my eye, which also helps my under-eye concealer to apply smoothly. I have allergies, eye surgeries and just plain extremely sensitive eyes and this product does not sting or burn. It does not cause my eyes to itch, nor does it blur my vision.
I can't say enough about this product and what is has done for so many issues I have with my skin after 50. It will remain a "must have" in my morning line up!

I have issues with my pores and I really hoped this would make a difference. I tried it over and under foundation and even with another primer one time and still my pores prevail. After a couple of hours my face was super greasy. I used a Nars foundation with this too. I wanted to make it work, even tried to change up the different types of foundation brushes thinking that may enhance what this prep claimed to do. I will be returning. I couldn't get a could close up in the picture but it actually looks decent in pic.

Quick Take: smoothing, soft
I love the smoothing face prep! I tried it out on a whim one day, and I'm hooked. It really smoothes out the appearance of pores and fine lines around your nose and the edges of your mouth. Foundation goes on much more smoothly with the skin smoothing face prep under it.
On the days I'm so tired in the morning I forget to put this on before foundation, I can definitely feel and see the difference.

I had my makeup done by a nars rep. She used this product on me. And i was hooked! It helps to create flawless looking skin, i noticed it. And so did others. Im extremely happy with this product, now only if it came in a larger amount.

I have mixed feelings about this product. When I first tried it I loved it. It fills in fine lines which is great but it did not make my make up last longer. It's pretty expensive so if you are looking for a primer to give you more make up time this is not it.

This is surprisingly small, but packs a punch. I tried it on the store and it made my knuckle look super smooth so I knew I needed to have it. I still use a regular prime and then this over "problem" areas like large pores, uneven texture, and a little buit in the center of my forehead to control oil.
I have combination skin and this controls oil like nothing else but does not dry out my skin.
In order to use sparingly, I apply with a flat, square eyeliner brush.

If I had a very rough patch of skin I guess this would be good. It works, OK but doesn't really minimize fine lines and in the T zone blocks pores enough to break me out. I wouldn't buy it again.

Hands down, nothing can replace this for me as a primer. I use this product daily under my foundation. It smooths over all my pores and gives my face a silky smooth texture. I love that it doesn't make me break out. In fact, if I don't use this product, I find myself breaking out more from my foundation, so this acts almost as a protective layer on my skin. I love that when I apply my foundation over it, it eliminates the sticky feeling that sometimes comes from foundation. It also minimizes the oiliness of my skin during the day.

I have pretty deep acne scars and this product fills them in like spackle. It's also great for filling in pores and mattifying my T-Zone. Unfortunately, the results are short-lived. When I apply this over my foundation, it only lasts a few hours. Under my foundation... a few minutes.

Feels really nice on the skin! Fills in wrinkles and pores, but doesn't help the dryness around rough spots, so if I didn't have acne I would feel comfortable wearing this alone. Skin still got oily halfway through the day.

I think this is my favorite primer, i have smash box photofinisher, but i wear that in the cold seasons too, either or. but this primer is amazing, but the price is the only hype.
depending how much you use, ( i suggest to use sparingly )
perfect for under eyes like me, since i wear loads of concealer. i use my fingers to apply it, since i don't have a really good foundation brush, but it still creates the same kind of finish. it is pricey though. since its not liquid, it helps the foundation stay on longer even when sweating, and doesn't come off just because you are hot. hope this helps

I really like the fact that I can control how much of this primer I use. I can tap it onto the areas of my face that require more pore coverage. It's silky and a snap to apply. My makeup goes on smoothly and lasts and lasts. It fills in the fine lines around my eyes and really does minimize the look of my pores. I tried the Pore Prime Oil Free Pore Refining Primer and hated it. This primer is SO much better. I have tons of primers in my makeup collection, but this one has a place at the front of the line for now!
