Be tan without the sun
-05.22.13
Quick Take: long lasting
I have tried every self tanner out there for olive skin.
St Tropez is the best there is! I purchased the mousse but
Felt it was too drying. I switched to the lotion and it is dark and moisturizing . Love it worth the price

It is an easy product to use. I have found most self tanners have an orange tint to them. This one not as much. Must have the mitt for a smooth look

Washed Right Off....
-05.14.13
Quick Take: short-lived
Overall, the color was great. The odor was much less severe than most self-tanners and I had no streaking. Unfortunately, the color was completely gone after just two showers. This would be great if you just need a next day tan, but don't expect it to last for a week.

I have been self tanning on and off for 20 plus years. This is by far the best product. It has almost no smell and looks so realistic.

Streak Free Natural Color
-05.11.13
Quick Take: long lasting, good smelling, natural looking, instant, streak free, golden
I've dabbled in my fair share of self tanners as a pale girl who sunburns and doesn't tan. I've always tried to be economical about the tanning lotions I've bought and it always turns out to be a waste of money since none of them ever give me the results they promise. Jergen's and banana boat and neutrogena and everything else all turned me yellow with terrible streaks! So I researched st. tropez to death and decided it was worth the splurge. And I was right.
Last night, I exfoliated with a pouf all over my body in the shower, as suggested. I put some lotion on my knees, feet, elbows and hands after drying off. I applied the tanner exactly as instructed in the st. tropez instructional youtube video and boy, was I scared at first. It comes out as this olive green color and dries really quick, leaving a streaky dirty appearance. I was so scared this was what my tan would actually look like. After applying everywhere, I waited until I was nice and touch dry to put on my pj's and I went to bed.
When I woke up, a lot of the streaky dirty appearance already seemed to be gone but I still would never go out looking like that! So I jumped in the shower and did my normal routine. When I got out, it was the most golden beautiful tan I've ever seen on my skin. No streaks, no yellow/orange weirdness, no darker areas. And the best part: It really helped to mask the TERRIBLE stretch marks I got on my legs when I was pregnant. They are all around my thighs and down to my calf. When I was pale, they were noticeable and I refused to wear shorts. I'll be wearing shorts and skirts and bikinis all summer now! Thanks St. Tropez.

Good Color - Still Stinks
-05.05.13
Quick Take: blends well, stinky
I thought that by purchasing a more expensive self-tanner I'd avoid that obvious self-tanner smell - but that wasn't so. While the lotion blends easily and provides even, natural color, I can't stand to use it more than a day here and there due to the smell. I can't attest to the positives or negatives of using it consistently.

Pale to Goddess
-05.03.13
Quick Take: long lasting
With a naturally pale complexion I was very skeptical of receiving a natural looking tan from a bottle but I am now a believer thanks to St. Tropez! I am fair with red hair and blue eyes and this gave me an olive color with a glow that made me look almost exotic. I've used drugstore tanning products before as its hard to get a beautiful tan naturally in the sun and not to mention those rays can damage your skin. I would recommend getting the bigger bottle because once your tan develops you are almost addicted to how good it works! A couple things I learned was my back did break out slightly but my back is prone to that whenever I use a new product. Also leaving the lotion on longer than the suggested time before rinsing off does not make you darker so definitely rinse off when it tells you to!

Tans Well But Takes Two To Cover Well
-04.30.13
Quick Take: gradual, long lasting
This tans pretty well; not as dark as I expected from reading comments but I'll keep layering it on. Only big issue is reaching all the places I want tan. Even with the mitt I have a devil of a time spreading the lotion in the middle of my back. Someone needs to invent a device that spreads the lotion out further so I don't have to call for assistance when putting the tanning lotion on.

Great way to get a jump on a spring glow!
-04.25.13
Quick Take: gradual
Smells much better than most self tanners. Immediately tints skin to a darker shade, I recommend applying at night and showering off in the AM. Warning: will stain palms very badly, must use gloves or application sponge to apply tanner. Pretty expensive though the pump bottle for $40 will definitely last a very long time.

Great with modifications
-04.22.13
Quick Take: long lasting
I have been hearing about this product for quite a while from various sources and finally decided to buy for myself. I spoke with a Sephora associate and chose the lotion over the mouse due to my tendency to have dry skin.
Here is what I think:
1) Great color!
2) MUST USE GLOVES TO APPLY! Despite what the sales associate said, I literally had brown palms immediately after use. It came off eventually but I was NOT thrilled and had half a mind to call Sephora to tell them that they MUST recommend the use of gloves.
3) It takes some TLC to get even coverage, a little too much TLC if you ask me
4) After my first time, I started mixing two pumps with one pump of regular moisturizer (still with gloves) and now I am really in love. The added moisturizer lets you get more even coverage and makes the over all application much easier.
5) The color is fabulous, natural looking, long lasting and fades really nicely which is not always with case with self tanners.
6) A little goes a long way, especially now that I mix with lotion and therefore the high price tag is much easier to deal with.
Over all, I recommend the product with a few modifications. Gloves and mix with moisturizer. I wish I would have known these things ahead of time, hence the four stars, but I'm really happy with the product now and will definitely purchase again.

Best tanner on the market! Yes, the price sucks but it is a lot cheaper than spray tans, it's natural (brown, not orange), the smell isn't the worst compared to many other tanners and it goes on brown so you can see where to apply it and avoid streaking. The mitt is a must!

GLOWING
-04.05.13
Quick Take: gradual, long lasting
i absolutely love this product. I would advise watching the St. Tropez tutorial video first. Although I did not my first time, and it turned out fine. It goes on really dark and looks like it will streak, but it won't! I went to bed with it on, showered in the morning and I looked amazing. I'm really pale and I always look orange after using most self tanners. I am so in love with this product and will use it forever. It gets even darker after a day, and it totally doesn't smell.

BUY THE MITT! Great sub for spray tanning !
-04.05.13
Quick Take: great sub for tanning salon
I tried this product after receiving a sample of the One Night Glow by St.Tropez. It takes a few applications to get the hang of it. It is convenient as opposed to going to the tanning salon but not as long lasting as a spray tan or as even in color. It is hard to get even coverage in places that you cannot reach or see such as the upper back. It does have a lesser spray tan scent than an airbrush tan which is nice. You do need to leave it on for 8-10 hours for best results which is about the same as a salon tan. You do not get a darker color by using more product so don't waste it. Not as dark as a spray tan but still very good for an in home product. Tanning extender does not seem to make any difference in depth of color or length of tan. It helps to pat dry when out of the shower vs. rubbing vigorously with the towel. All in all, I really like it. Very nice to get a tan on the go vs. driving to the salon! PS~ the mitt is a MUST. If your use it with your hands, your palms will be brown.

Honest review

So if your the type of girl looking for just a glow and that's it, this is the product for you! Did it before I went to bed, of course and woke up having a natural beautiful glow after showering. Now, if you want to he dark (like tanning bed dark) I suggest an actual tanning bed! All in all, it's a pretty good product, but not the kind that makes you dark, at all! However, I've tried many many products and this one was the best for an even glow!

Love this self tanner! Im a former tanning bed lover but now in my 30's i feel its time to start taking better care of my skin but i still want to have a tan complexion all year long. Looked at alot of self tanners and my two biggest concerns were streaks and fake orange color. Neither were a problem with this product. Got nothing but compliments day after i applied. Would recommend doing it night before and showering in the morning(its pretty blotchy after application but that goes away in the shower) Also purchased the mitts and i like them. Not sure if they are necessary but worth it if only for the no orange palms! To me natural color is worth the pricetag!
